Fires of Romance | Closed to Ignis
And after that the times they left the apartment over their time together was all about getting supplies. Like today, he was supposed to head out and do the shopping for them. Except once he opened the door he found the small wrapped box and gasped. It was here. Nida made a delighted noise as he headed back into the apartment, closing the door.
"Ig, darling, would you come here please?"
no subject
The book trip had been a lot of fun with both of them chatting about ideas, and prompts to take this or that book back with them. There had even been some books on holidays called Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas so those got brought home too along with a few books with hand written recipes for those holidays inside. Also during this time he'd learned how to make a pretty good pumpkin flavoured coffee.
So now Ignis was cleaning up the apartment when he thought he'd heard Nida calling for him. Had the other somehow decided he wanted them to go together? That was totally fine with him of course so he moved towards the door and glanced down at the package that his lover was holding in his hands.
A puzzled look was in the green eyes as his gaze locked with the other's dark eyes. "Did you decide to have me go with you?"
no subject
"No. I... Talked to Raimon the other day, to get some help finding something for you," he answers, before moving to hold out the small box. "A gift."
no subject
The advisor puzzled, knowing he hadn't done anything to deserve the gift, but he was both confused and curious. "Do you wish me to open it now or wait until we get back from shopping?"
no subject
"You know how I said, that night we started, that I needed time to make a decision? About what I wanted? Well I think this is my answer."
He's nervous.
"If you want to open it while I shop, then okay. That, uh, I think works."
no subject
He'd done a lot of thinking since then too when he went off hunting and on the way to and from the house. The bear had brought things into focus too, but he kept everything under his hat so to speak and just left the thoughts there.
But now this.
The blonde head shook. "Something tells me we'll need to talk, so I'll just save it for when you get back." His hands were itching to open it, but Nida looked so nervous right now that he didn't have the heart to do such a thing as open it while the man was away.
What in the world could be in the box that was so important enough to make his lover nervous and shake as he was? Not knowing what else to do, Ignis brought the box over to set it down on the kitchen table, planning on leaving it there.
no subject
"I think I'll probably get more anxious about it if you leave it that long, Ig," he admits. It's not that easy to give that to the other man.
no subject
Green eyes looked up and gazed into the other's eyes. "Shall we open it together then?" Ignis was really trying here because his lover looked ready to fall over.

Stop That Thief! | OTA in the Markets
Of course even now he knew that with things calming down, the problems would pick back up without the aura of fear and the concern of being mauled. And that, in this moment, meant shouting and running down a busy street, jumping over a stand that was way too far out in the way so that he didn't lose the large, burly looking woman pelting down the street, someone else's coin purse in her hands.
"Stop dammit!"
Rooftop Meditation | OTA on any Dorm Roof
While Nida sits there, eyes closed and posture speaking of peace, the feline jumped down from his shoulder, striding toward whoever it was that had joined them on the roof. She was delicate on her paws, and kept the train of her tail feathers from dragging over the dirt on the roof.
"Mrewl?" she asked plaintively of the stranger.
"Don't touch anywhere she's green," Nida warns without turning, "not unless you're wearing gloves. The oil on those feathers induce euphoria."
Grey!
When he got up there at first he saw nothing of note. And as his boots hit the gravel he then saw a man who was not facing him. He turned to leave when the colourful animal came trotting towards him. It half resembled a bird and blue eyes curiously blinked at it, having never seen its like before.
When the creature seemed to ask a question, the knight was uncertain as to how to answer it. But then the man spoke a warning. It made him look down, but he did have on his brown leather gloves as he always did. Still, he did not endeavour to touch the animal.
"You warning is indeed timely." And he's not going to touch her.
no subject
"You've got gloves, that could protect you from it, but I understand the reluctance. Julia, be a dear?"
The man twists enough to extend a hand, rubbing his fingers together. The feline hears it and is soon sauntering back toward Nida. She's back on his shoulder in no time at all. And she rubs herself against his neck. He shivers a little at the contact, btu then he's left smiling widely from the very effect he'd noted.
"She helps my meditative focus."
no subject
When the cat like creature perched on the man's shoulder, blue eyes blinked and Hendrik clenched his jaw. He didn't want any part of it.
"Then if all is in order here I will head back downstairs. I do not wish to disturb your..focus."
no subject
"I'm Nida by the way."
no subject
However, he would go with the introductions.
"I am Hendrik."
no subject
"Nice to meet you. If you want, I can leave the rooftop for you."
no subject
Did he offend the man somehow?

Wrap?
Only a Plank Between One and Perdition | Closed to Jacob (and later Ignis)
I'll teach you, he had sworn, after the man was back and whole. Maybe not enough for a bear, but you won't be defenseless.
And so this. A meeting scheduled in private, for hours he had free save for the fact that he owed his boyfriend lunch later. Two men entering an abandoned mansion, where Nida had cleared out and checked one room for stability. Nida had cleared it out previously, making a space for training, even if the place wasn't perfect. It needed dusting. And paint. And quite a few other things like training mats and crash pads and so many other things.
But for now? This would have to do.
"So how much experience do you have?" Nida asked, shedding his uniform coat. Frankly, he didn't feel it was appropriate to work out in anything beyond a tank top, even in the chill of the mansion. They'll be warm soon enough.
no subject
It was best not to think about that.
Jake arrived with a five foot bamboo staff that he'd procured for himself. It wasn't anything special but it was a balanced piece of wood that he'd started on after first getting mugged weeks before the bear attack.
He followed Nida, balancing the stick on his palm as they walked into the building. It was seeing inside the building that made him drop the staff to the ground. "Wow. This place is interesting." He was trying to sound nice. "If you want help fixing it up I have done some repair work before."
He was stalling a little bit. Jake had been trained in the past but it'd been arguably light training. Nothing like what Jake expected Nida to put him through now. He hoped that he isn't too bruised for work tomorrow.
no subject
"I'm just using it for practice. I'm not attached to the thing at all," Nida muses as he moves into a ready stands. "Copy me, kiddo."
no subject
Jake didn't think he'd be able to hold a stick with that much practice and ease but he was here to improve himself. "Kiddo? It's been awhile since I've been called that." Gus was the only one who ever called him Kiddo; his adopted father.
"Alright." Jake stepped a couple yards away so that he wouldn't accidentally smack Nida and tried to copied his friends movements.
no subject
"But I've never met someone who couldn't learn it."
no subject
The touches were firm and helpful though Jacob couldn't help but note how warm his hands were.
no subject
Is it silly of him to say that? Nope. He doesn't think so. He reaches out so his hands cover Jacob's as he changes the man's grip on his training weapon.
"I've put men taller and larger than you on their ass."
no subject
Jacob looked down as Nida's hands moved his. He was trying to keep his thoughts focused on the task at hand but it was impossible for him to ignore the way it felt. He'd gone over a week without feeling anything and since then everything had felt more than before.
It was going to make this lesson very difficult for him.
"Just be gentle with my ass."
