[It's late in the afternoon when Jacob finally decides to make a general call to the residence of the city. He has the information that he needs to know and he trusts that everything else will come with time. He isn't in a rush and when he makes his call he's calm.

Jcaob is wearing his new fall threads, a dusty brown jacket with a dark blue scarf loosely wrapped around his neck. He's still unshaven but his hair has been brushed and is now pointed in the same direction. It's dark behind him but easy to see the warm hazel glint in his eyes.]

It's a beautiful night out. There are a lot of stars. [It's unclear where he is but he tilts the screen to show hundreds of little dots of light freckling a blanket of black.] Hopefully this doesn't wake anyone. I've become a bit of a night owl.

[Night wasn't a safe time of day for someone who can't see in the dark.]

I got my job back at Gary's carpentry but I honestly want to do something more than make furniture. If you need anything, let me know. I was a mechanic before this. So I can work with just about anything.

Seriously, anything.

[It's amazing how easily he fell back into his life here.]

Ah, yeah. [He grins.] It's Jacob. If you don't know me but want to find me.

I consider myself pretty easy to find.

[Hmm... That was interesting. Someone who'd been here before, come back? He'd known that could happen, at least in the last world he was in, so perhaps it wasn't odd... But it was something of note confirmed for this place too.]

[Llewellyn paused for a moment, blinking as he tried to cycle back what he'd said in his head. Right. Introductions.]

Pardon me for forgetting that... I was a bit preoccupied with the idea that it's possible for people to return here, as well. My name is Llewellyn Watts-Maresh, but you can call me Llewellyn, or just uh- Watts is fine. Some people do.

Er... [Clearly Llewellyn hadn't expected that, usually other people decided.] I don't really have a preference, as long as I know someone's talking to me.

[He shrugs and tries his best to act cool.] There's still time.

I'm sitting outside of the apartments.

A mechanic, huh? [He's trying to make an effort to, you know, not hermit, okay?] It must be hard to find work around here.

Yeah. [Jacob laughs.] It's as difficult as it sounds but I've taken up carpentry while trying to get my hands on more parts.

More parts for what? What are you going to run it on?

I don't really have something in mind yet. It depends on what I can find or cast.

[Simple tools and gadgets wouldn't be difficult to put together into something useful, like an elevator or old-style winding scooter. It just depends on what he could find and what existed in the city. From what Jacob remembered, it was a hodgepodge of things but he hadn't been in the city for a while and it might have more in the way of mechanical parts.]

Maybe start at your and Nida's place? [He doesn't want to admit it but he's a little embarrassed about how bad his cooking skills are.] I don't really know what I'm doing.

Still trapped here. How was your return home?

It was pretty horrible but that's not really much of a surprise.
