Reverie
Who; Yin and OTA
What; Yin is spying around the city to familiarize herself, and possessive over her new item that sprouted, plus any ideas anyone might be interested in, willing to do starters
Where; The fountain / anywhere with water
When; Anytime, backdating is good
Warnings; Blindness, spying with specter, will add as needed
Fountain Spying
Anyone passing by the fountain will find a short, thin young woman at the fountain. Her hands are dipped inside the water, as far down as she can put them.
Some might see a transparent, ghost like figure pop up out of the water, with what could be eyes and a mouth. The spirit looks at anyone around and studies them, carefully.
Anyone is welcome to approach her and ask her what she's doing. Yin will be left having to simply say the truth, as she isn't programmed to lie, and thinking along those lines isn't something Dolls can do, typically.
There are other places the spirits might show, like puddles, leaky facets, glasses of water, pots, anything with water. Maybe they see nothing particular interesting, but perhaps they spot things they should not be privy to.
Trinket
Yin wasn't sure about it, but since others had mentioned it, she did plant the seed that was delivered to her.
When it sprouts, and when she gets to the inside of it, she has to stop.
She can only see what she has by using water to look at it. Once she sees what it is - a photo of her, a black cat in her arms, and not far from them, a man dressed all in black with a deadeye stare - she never goes anywhere without it. She typically isn't capable of being possessive, so hopefully no one asks to see it.
She might not seem like herself if they do, by pulling the image away and shaking her head. Not this one, no.
Wildcard: Anything else? A request? She isn't the easiest to interact with, but I'm willing to discuss.

Though he is curious about it.
The confirmation that it would be fine gets a pleased hum. “Wonderful. I would have retrieved a second glass if that were the case.” Dipping the brush in the water, though still mindful of the little spirit, he cleaned it lightly before he resumed his current project. “Is there something you were looking for with your observer spirit?”
no subject
The spirit bobs up and down as the brush goes past. It sinks further into the water for a moment, then comes back, ever curious.
"I was learning everything," Yin points out. "Memorizing the fountain, the streets." Committed to memory, it's easier to walk around the place.

He does tilt his head in her direction again at the comment, looking curious. ‘Everything’ seems a little ambitious, but as she continued, he supposed everything seemed accurate for her own sake. “That seems a rather large challenge, but a sensible one nevertheless! I rather found this place a touch confusing to get around when I arrived, but you do get used to it after a while.” Mostly, and Yusuke tended to keep an eye out for odd happenings over time. “This part of the courtyard leads to the House of Solace.” He added for an explanation, though Yin would probably note a lot of younger people around the place.
“Is there anywhere in particular that you seek to familiarize yourself with the location of? Somewhere that you would frequent or find helpful to know. I could assist if you like.” He added with a polite tone and a little flourish of his brush, paint dripping across cobblestone before he returned to the canvas.
no subject
"It helps." That is as much as she offers as to what that knowledge helps with. She's used to doing things for herself, no matter the obstacle, lest she be a burden - the worst thing she could do to her team.
She nods her head. "That is the orphanage, correct?" She has at least that much experience with it.
"The market," Yin admits. She did have Lauri-Ell's help there, always, but it never hurt to have more assistance.

Usually, he and the others patrolled the less watched over areas of the city as the phantom thieves, but there was no reason why Yusuke himself couldn’t help out a fellow abductee to this world outside that area. All in all, they were a helpful lot and Yusuke found the experiences with different kinds of people quite helpful to him in other ways. He had been rather sheltered and lacked experience that made relating to others difficult at times.
Plus, the market was usually a bustling, busy space, and that might make navigating it more difficult. “Then allow me to join you and act as a temporary guide around our fair market. I can take you along the pathways near canals for you to use your ability if that helps.” He added in a light tone, carefully collecting his supplies to take inside before going.
no subject
Her eyes widen, albeit slightly.
"Canals are useful," she remarks calmly, but the information is sought after. She nods her head and is ready to leave.
no subject
A few minutes later, with a satchel slung over a shoulder, he returned. “There we are. As long as you’re ready, then we can go.” He offered, a smile in his tone as he adjusted the bag on his arm and looked in the direction of the market and mentally mapped out which way they should go to take them closest to the canals.
no subject
When Yusuke returns, she stops shortly at the sound of his voice, to make sure she doesn't walk into him.
"I am ready," she assures him, with another nod.

It was at least nice enough out for the time being, and he was personable as far as people went… if slightly awkward about what may or may not be welcome conversation if he was curious, and curious he was. “Perhaps you would like to tell me a little about what you enjoy as we go, and I can consider locations that might be worth your while to stop in to around the market and elsewhere I could recommend?”
Because he would certainly do that… Yusuke had developed a connection with a lot of various places around the city in his attempts at finding inspiration and filling in the gaps for his own lacking experiences in life.
no subject
"Enjoy?" Yin does know what the word means, but she's still trying to understand how that truly feels, and she's unable to give a solid response beyond, "I do not know."
no subject
Rarely deterred, the teen continued a moment later. “Something or a kind of place that makes you feel happy, or brings you a sense of satisfaction?”
He hums lightly. Perhaps an example will help. “For instance, I’m fond of cafes. Back in my world, a friend of mine lived in one and the owner was a very kind man who would allow me to take space in a booth and drink coffee while I sketched or admired a piece of art important to me.” Boss was a somewhat serious and grumpy fellow, but he was an excellent person in Yusuke’s books. “And a friend of mine here, Haru, has opened a cafe as well. I enjoy being there as well. So much so that I work there.”
no subject
"I...I think I enjoy the company of my friends. And I like the chocobos," Yin finally manages to respond. "And cats." She's still learning about a lot of things.
no subject
Smiling lightly, he continued. “And chocobos are rather delightful creatures, odd as they are to look upon when first arriving.” Giant birds people used for transportation instead of horses? Marvelous, wondrous, and slightly strange, in his opinion. Not the strangest thing he’d come across in his life, but definitely different from the horses one would expect to see in their place. “Cats are not hard to come across, either, I imagine. Pleasant creatures, even as they are somewhat particular in their ways.” Absently, he thinks of Morgana as he says this, but Morgana was not a cat apparently, nor was he here.
no subject
"They look odd?" Yin hadn't considered that, or know they looked odd. To Yin they simply look like, well, chocobos, when she does use her spirit to look at them. She doesn't consider how they are much bigger from typical birds.
The cat Yin knew best was not technically a cat either, but a person stuck in a cat body. She misses him, and is finding that cats, or at least animals that might lie down her lap, are nice to have around and gently pet.
no subject
“Yes, at least in that they’re so very large and such a brilliant shade of yellow. So odd, but in a wonderfully inspiring way!” He agreed with a smile in his voice, considering the birds more seriously now that they were on the subject. “To see them doing the sorts of jobs that one might see horses doing is quite interesting to behold, oh-” He paused for a moment as something struck him as necessary. “Do you have horses where you’re from? I suppose they might be less odd if you come from somewhere that horses do not exist.”
no subject
Yin nods her head, then remembers to verbally confirm, "We have horses. And birds. And large birds. Not like chocobos, though."
A beat, then, "What about where you're from?"
no subject
“Though it does rather make one wonder how far similarities go between the places, we all come from. Some worlds sound so very different!” Yusuke mused thoughtfully, though how far the similarities ran would be a mystery. If the metaverse existed, where palaces formed and shadows existed. That was a newish discovery for him back there, so he couldn’t say if it was a common occurrence in worlds or not.
Taking her along a path with a canal, he tilted his head slightly. “If you should like to stop and view a route, the canals run along to your right at the moment.”
no subject
So some things were similar. Yin might not seem to react much to that, but she is, in fact, noting that as very important. It makes her more curious.
"Where you are from, is there a moon?"
Yin's head perks up at mention of the canal. She nods, then removes one shoe and shock.
no subject
At least that was his line of thought until she asked about the moon. That gets a small tilt of his head, curious at the question and what one could surmise about Yin’s world from the asking of it. “There is a moon, yes. Does yours not, then?” Which would be a considerable difference between their worlds.
He keeps an eye as well, of course, on her as she readies to try her ability with the canal.
no subject
"Our moon vanished," Yin answers. Of course, that's just from sight. It still has to, technically, be there to prevent flooding and issues with the oceans, amongst other phenomena and issues, but Yin doesn't know about any of that. She only knows she can no longer feel moonlight.
"They say the stars changed, as well. Ten years ago." So that's one big way their worlds differ.
no subject
Because, yes, his mind had first gone to the issues that a missing moon could pose… But it sounded as though that it might not be a literal ‘the moon is gone’ situation, by the way she spoke of it. He was about to ask what happened to it to get a better idea of what she meant, when she continued and Yusuke felt the question of expanding somewhat. “Your moon disappeared, and the stars changed as well… But they are still there, I take it? And does anyone know what happened to the moon?”
no subject
Yin shakes her head. Someone probably had to - the person responsible for the moon disappearing, at least - but no one Yin had listened to had any idea.
"I can't feel it anymore."
no subject
Tilting his head at the sky, it was odd to think that it always being there was something so easily taken for granted by himself and others. Curiously, he crouched next to the canal himself and looked to Yin again. “Does the moon… feel similar here, or different? I admit, I never really considered that about it before.”
no subject
"I hope we, also, can return."
There were so many things Yin had taken for granted. At least now she understands that.
"It feels a little different. But it has moon light." She lifts a hand, remembering what it feels like. "And it is warm."
no subject
Instead, he quietly considered the way she described the moon of this place by comparison and nodded. The light was a given, but he had never considered if moon light was warm or not.
Tapping his chin lightly, he nodded and turned his attention back to what Yin was doing. “Warm… I suppose that the light it casts must be. Perhaps I have not paid enough attention, as I’ve never been without it beyond stormy nights where the sky is clouded.” Smiling to himself, he continued. “I shall have to pay closer attention in the evenings.”
