Reverie
Who; Yin and OTA
What; Yin is spying around the city to familiarize herself, and possessive over her new item that sprouted, plus any ideas anyone might be interested in, willing to do starters
Where; The fountain / anywhere with water
When; Anytime, backdating is good
Warnings; Blindness, spying with specter, will add as needed
Fountain Spying
Anyone passing by the fountain will find a short, thin young woman at the fountain. Her hands are dipped inside the water, as far down as she can put them.
Some might see a transparent, ghost like figure pop up out of the water, with what could be eyes and a mouth. The spirit looks at anyone around and studies them, carefully.
Anyone is welcome to approach her and ask her what she's doing. Yin will be left having to simply say the truth, as she isn't programmed to lie, and thinking along those lines isn't something Dolls can do, typically.
There are other places the spirits might show, like puddles, leaky facets, glasses of water, pots, anything with water. Maybe they see nothing particular interesting, but perhaps they spot things they should not be privy to.
Trinket
Yin wasn't sure about it, but since others had mentioned it, she did plant the seed that was delivered to her.
When it sprouts, and when she gets to the inside of it, she has to stop.
She can only see what she has by using water to look at it. Once she sees what it is - a photo of her, a black cat in her arms, and not far from them, a man dressed all in black with a deadeye stare - she never goes anywhere without it. She typically isn't capable of being possessive, so hopefully no one asks to see it.
She might not seem like herself if they do, by pulling the image away and shaking her head. Not this one, no.
Wildcard: Anything else? A request? She isn't the easiest to interact with, but I'm willing to discuss.

Fountain
Passing by the fountain on his way home, he stopped and noticed Yin there. Her hands were down into the water and as he got closer, he noticed what looked to be a ghost like thing?
So he immediately worried because maybe she didn't see it or know it was there.
"Yin? Are you okay?"
no subject
So this is Yuki.
"Yes. I am." She pauses, looking confused for a moment.
It's polite to ask back, isn't it? "Are you okay?"
no subject
He's not sure what to say here, so there's a pause as she meets his eyes. Curious, she did that after that..ghost thing did.
"Yes, I'm okay. I'm more worried about you."
The fact that he's very aware of this ghost thing was weird.
no subject
"I am okay. Why are you worried?"
The specter bobs up and down and keeps it's attention fully on Yuki.
no subject
"I don't want to alarm you, but there's a ghost thing floating next to you."
He's not sure if he should be worried or what. Fighting ghosts wasn't something he wanted to do, but if it would hurt Yin, he'd do it. Yuki didn't take his sword fighting lessons from sensei for nothing.
no subject
"That's my specter. It sees and hears for me."
This way, Yuki doesn't have to worry, or fight it.
no subject
"So it sees and hears things for you. Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know that."
Not that he could, but he still thought it was best to apologize.

Wrap
Spying
He mostly speaks to himself on the subject at hand, trying to decide if he liked what he had so far or if it needed some change as he brings his brush to the canvas to add some colour here and there… Today is more abstract, rather than a portrait or scene that he sometimes favours. So it’s not until he is ready to dip the brush into the water that he realized he had something of an audience. “Oh, good heavens!” He murmured in surprise, drawing the brush back just before he’d been about to dip it. “Where on earth did you come from? While I do not mind an audience, that is not a particularly good place to sit, little one.”
Where had it come from? Was this some kind of new thing born of Aterat or was it something else? It looked kind of cute, peeking up out of the water… So he decided it at least couldn’t be a bad thing.
no subject
Yin has to peek around the fountain as the ghost bobs up and down and watches Yusuke, curiously. It helps her find the individual so she can say, voice ever so soft and even, "It came from me."
That probably makes almost no sense to someone who knows nothing about her, and she has to keep one hand in the water just to maintain the connection.
no subject
Yusuke blinked, hearing the soft voice coming from nearby, and turned from the little spirit to see Yin with her hand in the fountain. It was… rather odd, truth be told. Tilting his head slightly, bangs slipping into his eyes, he blinked curiously. “From you? I see…” He murmured thoughtfully, setting his brush down and glancing back to the little ghost bobbing in the water.
It wasn’t the oddest concept to grasp, at least not for him. Yusuke had his persona, something that he could call upon that came from him as well. Though… Goemon was rather different from this in scale, appearance and ability. “Might I inquire as to what it’s doing?” He glanced between her and then the little ghost again, fingers making a frame in the air out of habit as he studied it. “Other than giving me rather inquisitive looks, I suppose!” He ended with a smile, lowering his hands.
no subject
"It's how I see," she explains. "It sees for me. Can hear for me if it's far away." Help her observe and learn things.
Her observer spirit is, indeed, even more curious as she explains this. For all of the curiosity Yin herself doesn't exhibit, the specter seems to have it all.
no subject
Smiling lightly, he offered it and her a proper greeting. “I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure of meeting as yet. I’m Yusuke Kitagawa. Might I ask your name, and that of your little assistant, if it has one?” He asked with a little flourish of a gesture between them before lowering his arm.
Picking up his brush again, he looked at the small blob-like specter in the water with as much curiosity as it was it was directing at him. “And would it be alright if I cleaned the brush in the water of the glass, or would that harm it or obstruct your view?” He would fetch another glass if that were the case, not entirely bothered either way.
no subject
She tilts her head. "Hello, Yusuke. I'm Yin." Then Yin turns to the specter which bobs up and down.
"My observer spirit doesn't have a name. It's...part of me," she doesn't sound sure about that. Dolls and Contractors were still sort of new in her world, and they were still trying to understand a lot of aspects about them.
"That is okay." She doubts the paintbrush will obscure anything.

Because there's no way that Zack wouldn't ask after this young woman who was here, who seemed to him to be lost.
no subject
"Yes." She pauses. The right thing to do is ask back, right? "Are you okay?"

Trinket
It how hung next to its brother around his neck, on a thin silver chain and caught winks of light as he moved, unlike the tarnished one that had been his, Thomas, his brother, kept good care of the only memento they had of their mother, and he was going to take good care of it for him.
The girl he runs into along the market street leading from the door to his office is new, he can tell because he's gotten used to the natives and he knows at the least the faces of the people who came from elsewhere.
He's a friendly guy, though, and a gentleman, and tips his hat (an actual, honest to God cowboy hat) to her.
"Hey, there. Haven't seen you around here before."
Re: Trinket
Yin's head slowly looks up, eyes a little wide.
"I do not recognize your voice, either," Yin admits. "I'm Yin. You are?"
At least she's learned to introduce herself. Makes things a little easier.
Re: Trinket
"Harry Dresden, the local wizard. My shop's just down the road, but ask anybody around and they get you better directions. It's nice to meet you, Yin. You must have arrived recently."
no subject
"Magic is real?" That's a new one on her.
She nods her head. "I am still new, Harry." This was where most people said it was nice to meet each other. She's still learning that part of manners.
no subject
"It sure is." Not much of a talker, got it. Still, he's a helpful sort of guy. "Not to worry, Yin. I answer any questions you've got, within reason."
no subject
"What do you do with your magic?" she asks, still stuck on that. The people back in her world might not believe her if she told them about this.
