Good news all! I finally got the little lovelies that are going to be living with Llewellyn and Pretzel and myself. Here, let me see if I can get them to pay attention for a picture.

[And yes, he's definitely included an image of not one or two, but three baby bunnies]

Sweetpie is the white one, Sugarbeet is the dark one, and Flopsy is the slightly gray one. The breeder had all three and my research said that it was better to have at least two for company but then I'd have to have left one behind and I just couldn't!

Look at them. Aren't they the sweetest little ones? Look at their faces!

They are SO SOFT. You should pet them. I'm supposed to help them acclimatize to being handled so that when they are older I can collect their fur for yarn. Who wants to pet the babies?

Vegetables and greens. I hear they like carrots, but there are enough sugars in carrots that they can't have them often. So we're going to try things in small amounts.

Really? I guess that kinda makes sense. People tell me I shouldn’t eat too many cookies and apple turnovers ‘cause of the sugar too.

Why? That seems quite silly. Just properly brush your teeth.

I guess too much sugar is bad for people like it’s bad for rabbits? Even if you brush your teeth!

[ It’s horrid, Rhy! The boy isn’t a fussy eater, but it is disappointing that one of his newest favourite is not something you should eat in great quantities! ]

Only if people don't balance their diets and get exercise. You can probably do more sugar than most people.

[monochromatically]

I do get lots of exercise since I’m used to running around a lot all over the place…! So I guess I could probably eat more sugar than some. I should try telling people that next time.

[ He likes Rhy’s thinking. He just needs to remind people he already exercises a lot and still eats his veggies! ]

[Rhy laughs, because yeah, it should be happy with that.]

Alright, this way to the vegetable stalls.

Okay! [ The kid follows along, recognizing the part of the market as they approached the vegetable stalls. ] Let’s get lots of tasty green things.

Just a bit. I don't want to overload and then not use it all.

[monochromatically]

That kinda makes sense. If they don’t like something, then you don’t wanna have a bunch of it.

[ It would be neat, the boy thinks, to see what exactly they did like best. ]

Exactly. And apparently they have their own personalities and will have things they like and don't like.

[He gets them up to a stall and starts to pick out a few things.]

[monochromatically]

They’re kinda like people, except smaller and they don’t talk. [ the boy mused thoughtfully at that. ] I wonder if they’d like spinach. I liked it when I tried it a while back.

[ Mono kept a close eye on what Rhy was buying, trying to identify each thing and remember it… You know, just in case he got to go see the bunnies again after this. He could bring them a present! ]

Indeed.

[Actually, spinach? Yes, he's going to buy some of that. And radishes. Oh, and a nice little head of cauliflower.]

Alright, this seems like a nice variety, right?

[monochromatically]

[ Mono considered the selection with more serious than may be warranted, but he felt like if Rhy was asking his opinion he should make sure he gives a good answer! ]

Um… Yeah, it’s a good bunch of stuff. ‘Cause it’s got different colours and textures to try, right?

[ He thinks that makes sense.

And oh boy, he’s excited to get to the actual meeting the bunnies part of the outing! ]

And flavors. Yes, very good.

[He smiles and loads his basket and then pays. Once all that's done he starts off down the path.]

Do you need a snack?

[monochromatically]

[ Mono hurries along after Rhy once he starts off down the path, tugging his tap a little more snug in place. The question is a good one. The answer is usually yes, but he also wants to see the bunnies… Hmm… ]

I can always kinda eat. [ He admitted, glancing up from under his hat brim. ] But I can wait, the bunnies need their snack too!

Yes, they do. But that's a lovely little pastry stand between here and the turn off toward my neighborhood.

[He grins and looks at Mono.]

We deserve treats too.

[monochromatically]

[ Well, Mono couldn’t argue with logic like that! ]

Really? I do like pastries, especially when they got fruit in them like apples. [ He nodded eagerly. The decision made! ] Then I guess on the way back we can have a snack, then the bunnies get theirs when we get there.

Exactly!

[He steers them toward the stand.]

Because there is nothing quite like a good treat to give you strength after a work day.

[monochromatically]

[ Mono beamed at that, hurrying to keep up as they approached the stand. ]

I like your thinking, it’s makes a lot of sense to me.

[ In the best ways! Mono decided that Rhy could be quite the smart adult sometimes. ]

[Rhy was quick with the purchases, putting Mono's treat right into his hands and taking his own before paying.]

Always made sense to me too. Now, let's hurry on home.

[ The boy chirped as the treat was handed over to him. He didn’t take long to start munching on it happily as they walked. ]

Yeah, the bunnies need to be patted and given treats too!

Exactly. There is something wonderful about getting treats when you're in a new place to make you feel welcomed.

[monochromatically]

That’s right! [ He smiled a little, picking at the pastry and enjoying the bite. ] A couple people gave me treats when I first got here too. It was nice. I bet the bunnies will think so, too.

I am sure they will.

[He nibbles at his own savory roll before heading them back toward his home.]

You know, the person that taught me my work, she had a rabbit too.
