Good news all! I finally got the little lovelies that are going to be living with Llewellyn and Pretzel and myself. Here, let me see if I can get them to pay attention for a picture.

[And yes, he's definitely included an image of not one or two, but three baby bunnies]

Sweetpie is the white one, Sugarbeet is the dark one, and Flopsy is the slightly gray one. The breeder had all three and my research said that it was better to have at least two for company but then I'd have to have left one behind and I just couldn't!

Look at them. Aren't they the sweetest little ones? Look at their faces!

They are SO SOFT. You should pet them. I'm supposed to help them acclimatize to being handled so that when they are older I can collect their fur for yarn. Who wants to pet the babies?

The girls are nine weeks. They are so very soft as well.

Indeed. The girls are so sweet. Though I'm told I must collect their fur anyway. So I might try and learn to spin it.

Well, Llewellyn had suggested the more the merrier when they discussed two instead of one… So he had been delighted when his husband told him about the there being three instead of two! He offered a light grin, still out walking Pretzel to wear some of the hound’s energy out before later. ]

I think it would have been sad to leave one behind, so! I still think you made the right call, dear. Do you think the basket we got for a bed would be big enough for three, or should I see about getting another before Pretzel and I get home from our walk?

It really word. It is called acclimatizing. The should grow used to people and being touched. To understand that being handled is only ever a gentle thing.

It will suffice for three for now, but they will soon require more I think. The full hutch should be large enough in the long run though.

Good, we can watch for nice things to pick up for them as they start to grow. For now I’ll focus on mm… wearing dear Pretzel out before we get home.

Rabbits are apparently sexually mature anywhere around nine to ten weeks. So yes.

We have built a hutch out of doors for them, so they can be comfortable. And we've set up a space for them inside as well.

Wild ones do not much like petting I believe. But the girls would do for the touch. You should come by sometime.

Yes, that would be very helpful. The girls will be shy around him, and he will be better to first meet if his energy is lower.

That’s what I was thinking. It’s been a while since he’s had the company of other fuzzy creatures, so a less excited hound would be for the best.

Yeah, I don’t try to touch the animals I see in the wild, since they probably wouldn’t like it much. It’s just nice to watch them…

[ But sometimes the curiosity is there, even back in his world on the rare occasion, aside from crows. Crows were just jerks. ]
