Hello my lovelies! I can hear again, in case those who learned of my last issues were curious. What a horrible thing not to have when it happens so suddenly. So scary.
But there is a thing to be said of course. I had plenty of time to read while I was isolated, and I have become resolved. I shall be acquiring a lovely sweet fluffy rabbit for myself. Perhaps a second one later too. One of those with fur suited to thread, but it's not about that.
I've been looking at so many books to research what I need, but I realize there are not a lot of places in town where they have the things I would need. I know I need to commission the work for a hutch, but where in the world am I to find suitable toys for the thingS? I hear they like tunnels to snuggle in too, and I don't know how I'd achieve that.
Oh dear, I at least understood dogs, I was ready for one of those in theory. But this is so much to learn!

But just because something is changed, or less than it once was, doesn’t mean that it’s disappearing entirely. That’s not to say it wont one day, especially if the modern world makes advancements that endanger the preservation of the mysteries of magic. [ He shrugs lightly. Things aren’t so simple. It might stay as it is, or it might drop off and actually move towards an end, like Rhy suggested. ] A long time ago, mages heavily relied on the gods for power. That age ended when mages of the past decided that they didn’t want to rely on them anymore. Instead, magecraft now relies heavily on preserving the mysteries of it. The more unknown something remains, the more potent it is. So mages focus on their own family’s magecraft, and improving their Crest over generations in the hopes that one day someone in their family will reach the root of magic.
So things change, and we develop and create new forms of magecraft in the world, or recover those lost from past ages. The department I run at the school I work at is dedicated to modern mage craft theories.

[ ‘Cause he’s a nerd. And on that note, he raises a brow. ]
I suppose Antari are something specific to your world as well?

[Rhy winces at the question, because of course he did. Dammit.]
I... had the misfortune of being born in a manner which left me a disappointment in the eyes of many.

Ah… So you were one of the few you mentioned. I can understand how frustrating that can be if you’re surrounded by people with greater abilities than yourself. I apologize for touching on a subject that isn’t pleasant.

[ Maybe that was why his parents weren’t holding it against him. If they had a child that was that powerful to focus on? At least… That was how it could be with the more traditional mage families in his world. ]

[Rhy chuckles and shakes his head.]
I owe him my life. Many times over.

[ Even he and Reines, despite not being related… Well, he worried about her more than he liked to admit and he was pretty sure it was a mutual in her… odd way. ]

[Though he knows Kell had been certain for so long that Rhy hadn't loved him or cared.]

[Of course they share pain so...]

[ Maybe their respective siblings would say the same thing about them if they were the ones talking, though. ]

[Kell would happily tell tales about all the ways that Rhy was just horrible as a sibling.]

It is a rather… loose term, normal in the context that siblings tend to be difficult with one another at times… But I would say life situations are hardly normal even without counting where we are now… You rather struck me as though your life must be somewhat… complicated? When we last met.

[ So not much different from home for him. ]
But if you say it’s been simple enough for rabbits, I suppose there must be some breaks here and there.
(ooc: totally understand if you wanna wrap this here given how old it is, you are getting tag outs today I promise <3)

The greatest break of all is having my beloved at my side.

That must be something of a comfort, having your husband with you. I had noticed some people arrive from the same world, while others remain alone.
