Fae would be excluded from such civilizations. I know these methods. But...what I really wish to know is, how do humans attract their mates?

Birds will build a nest, rabbits will play, deer will battle. I've seen all of these ways in the Ruinwood. Is it one of them?

Humans get to know each other. On an intimate emotional level.

Ah, well, you can never really make someone yours. What you can do though is try to show them how much you care about them and see if they feel the same. There's a lot of different ways to do it, it all depends on the person and what they like. Some people react to really big gestures like impressive and elaborate dates. Other people like gifts of different kinds. Some people just like things that let them know you understand them and listen to them.

Fairly often. Sometimes they even love more than one person at once. There's also a lot of different kinds of love from romantic love to the love you have for friends and family.

I did not know my father. My mother left me beside a mushroom when I was very young.

Personally, I think I'd kinda like to get some food from a good place and then maybe go out to my garden or the edge of the forest and have a picnic out there. Or maybe that pizza place that's opened up? There's a movie theater too, that'd probably be fun!
