How do you make someone...yours?

[daeshim's head tilts to one side with the last word, the corners of his lips turned down in a pensive little frown.]

Not just physically, but their heart too. It feels like...it must be a very different process from the way things are done in the forest.

Owning someone is typically seen as a "no no" in most civilizations.

Fae would be excluded from such civilizations. I know these methods. But...what I really wish to know is, how do humans attract their mates?

Birds will build a nest, rabbits will play, deer will battle. I've seen all of these ways in the Ruinwood. Is it one of them?

[Fae. That explains a lot. What he knows of them, both sides, they're violent, possessive, selfish, and jealous. Yikes.]

Humans get to know each other. On an intimate emotional level.

[faeshim]

[daeshim is no exception to most of that. but he will faint at the sight of blood.]

Humans are short-lived. Do they really have time for that?

Yeah. We make time for it.

[faeshim]

Mm.

Then I will work on my patience. A hundred seasons I can give to this.

Sounds like you really care about them.

[Harry Dresden may be the worst person to give relationship advice...especially to a faerie...]

So, I'm just going to say be yourself. Spend time with them, let things happen if they're going to happen.
