Okay, so here's how it is. There's this new road to this 'Academy place' the locals are acting like was always there. And they're fretting over it like mother fucking hens without some brood or whatever you call a group of chicks. So, let's all be honest and admit we're curious.

And ain't all of you lucky that you've got me here. Who isn't lucky when there is a speedster around? Basically, I'm gonna go check it out, see what's up and all that. But figure it's probably best to buddy system this. Anyone up for the trip? If you've got a chocobo you can ride. Otherwise I'll carry you.

I also need someone to help and watch out for the kids at the market for me while I do it. Gotta keep the business going smooth and all that. So, who's up for it?

Alright, I'll get working on getting to the Gates.

Cool. I'll be there when you get there.

[Terra got on the back of his chocobo and took a light pace to the gates. He didn't want to wear his mount out, so he didn't try to drive it hard or make it go really fast. But he slowed when they started approaching and he looked out for Tommy.

Once he thought he spotted the other man, he dismounted the chocobo and walked it the rest of the way.]

I'm here.

[It's hard to outrun a speedster, and Tommy had been there rather quickly. He'd been waiting here for a bit, but it was a relief not to be going alone. That way if something happened, someone could call back for help.]

You must be Terra. I'm Tommy. You got any experience with exploring in the wild?

[He nodded at Tommy to affirm who he was. But then he smiled as he unwrapped the chocobo's bridle from his hands as he thought about all of the different worlds he'd visited.]

Yup, I used to go exploring all the time.

That's good to hear. Hopefully, if there's any threats, I can take care of them. Keep you safe and all that.

[He isn't always good at keeping people safe. But he was going to try.]

[Terra just smiled because this wasn't a competition. And he wasn't worried about getting hurt here because his keyblade was here with him as was his armor.]

What about the other person? Will they need protection or can they look after themselves?

Oh, she's a fucking badass.

[He grins as he looks at Terra.]

Not as much as me of course.

[Bragging even if it doesn't necessarily ring true.]

She?

[Somehow he's surprised, but hey he knows a certain blue haired badass back home named Aqua. But then Tommy's bragging had him shake his head.]

Right.

Yeah, her name is Betsy. She's a hero back where I'm from.

[But he's cooler. Especially since he's not someone who leaves people behind.]

Oh, so you know her already.

[Terra reached a hand up and patted the chocobo's face gently which earned him a sort of head bonk in return. He heard from one of the stable hands that was their way of being affectionate but he had his doubts.]

I don't know her know her. She's.. She's a super hero back home. My boyfriend knows there knows her.

[Still, he wasn't seeing her so he supposed it didn't hurt to start moving.]

Walk with me a little?

[So here Terra was learning things that he didn't know that he didn't know. Well that was always a good thing. At the request though, he nodded and got the chocobo ready to move.]

Sure, give me a second here.

[Oh? That's a reaction. Tommy smirks and then starts walking.]

Worst comes to worst, she can catch up.

[His blue eyes shift to Tommy's retreating form and he he just sighs before gently pulling on his chocobo's lead. He was worried for this unknown person, and hoped she'd be okay catching up to them.

So he searched for something to say even if chit chatting wasn't really his style.]

I'm surprised more people didn't show up for this.

[But three was a good group in his biased opinion.]

The city has its own trouble, and when they hear I'm doing it, well, who would even suggest trying? The non-natives know what I'm like. Honestly, so do a lot of natives.

[Terra kept walking with his chocobo and he looked over at Tommy when he spoke.]

You make it sound like you're a wanted man here, or some sort of troublemaker.

Neither of those things. Just...

[He's gone in a moment, and then back, eating an apple he definitely didn't have before.]

Notable. I run a business based on my speed. So people know me.

[He wasn't about to ask about the apple but he did listen as Tommy spoke. And that got him curious]

What kind of business do you run?

Courier and delivery service. Kids run notes and small packages. I haul larger things or super speed stuff.

You sound pretty busy then.

[Terra made this comment with a smile. It was nice to hear that people were doing things and were productive here, it always served as an inspiration. And at the mention of kids, it brought Ven to mind, that he would have something to do if he ever showed.

He tried not to think of Namine either as they continued on.]

Super busy, man. Insanely so.

[He kept walking, focusing on the path in front of them.]

How long you been here?

[He nodded and kept the chocobo at a good walking pace. She didn't seem to bothered and made sounds every now and then that would cause Terra to reach a hand to pet her before continuing on.

To the question he shook his head.]

I've been here a few times. But I've been back for a week or two now.
