Okay, so here's how it is. There's this new road to this 'Academy place' the locals are acting like was always there. And they're fretting over it like mother fucking hens without some brood or whatever you call a group of chicks. So, let's all be honest and admit we're curious.

And ain't all of you lucky that you've got me here. Who isn't lucky when there is a speedster around? Basically, I'm gonna go check it out, see what's up and all that. But figure it's probably best to buddy system this. Anyone up for the trip? If you've got a chocobo you can ride. Otherwise I'll carry you.

I also need someone to help and watch out for the kids at the market for me while I do it. Gotta keep the business going smooth and all that. So, who's up for it?

[So here Terra was learning things that he didn't know that he didn't know. Well that was always a good thing. At the request though, he nodded and got the chocobo ready to move.]

Sure, give me a second here.

[Oh? That's a reaction. Tommy smirks and then starts walking.]

Worst comes to worst, she can catch up.

[His blue eyes shift to Tommy's retreating form and he he just sighs before gently pulling on his chocobo's lead. He was worried for this unknown person, and hoped she'd be okay catching up to them.

So he searched for something to say even if chit chatting wasn't really his style.]

I'm surprised more people didn't show up for this.

[But three was a good group in his biased opinion.]

The city has its own trouble, and when they hear I'm doing it, well, who would even suggest trying? The non-natives know what I'm like. Honestly, so do a lot of natives.

[Terra kept walking with his chocobo and he looked over at Tommy when he spoke.]

You make it sound like you're a wanted man here, or some sort of troublemaker.

[He's gone in a moment, and then back, eating an apple he definitely didn't have before.]

Notable. I run a business based on my speed. So people know me.

[He wasn't about to ask about the apple but he did listen as Tommy spoke. And that got him curious]

What kind of business do you run?

Courier and delivery service. Kids run notes and small packages. I haul larger things or super speed stuff.

You sound pretty busy then.

[Terra made this comment with a smile. It was nice to hear that people were doing things and were productive here, it always served as an inspiration. And at the mention of kids, it brought Ven to mind, that he would have something to do if he ever showed.

He tried not to think of Namine either as they continued on.]

Super busy, man. Insanely so.

[He kept walking, focusing on the path in front of them.]

How long you been here?

[He nodded and kept the chocobo at a good walking pace. She didn't seem to bothered and made sounds every now and then that would cause Terra to reach a hand to pet her before continuing on.

To the question he shook his head.]

I've been here a few times. But I've been back for a week or two now.

[Well, Tommy wasn't expecting that.]

So you're a lot more familiar with this than I was expecting.

[He nodded.]

This place still has surprises. This Academy thing wasn't going on when I was here before. But there was a ball held that winter I was here. And the Coliseum had just opened up.

Shit, wasn't expecting you o be that much more experienced than me. I only showed up...

[He comes to an abrupt stop and starts counting off over his fingers. And then Tommy's eyes go huge.]

A year. Almost a fucking year. Shit.

I've been back and forth, so I'm not sure how experienced I am now.

[Terra shook his head and halted when Tommy did.]

You've been here a year? That's a long time.

Yeah, it really is. I've seen people come and go. It's not that easy.

No it isn't.

[Terra admitted this much out loud and it had been odd with the whole back and forth thing that he did. But he'd looked everywhere for Namine and he'd even asked around. No one had seen her and he tried to tell himself that if he could come back so could she.

Maybe.]

But if they're not here, maybe they're better off wherever else they are.

[He kept trying to tell himself that too.]

It's hard, knowing people here and being left alone.

[Not fair, especially not fair. He wanted the people he cared about back dammit.]

It is.

[Terra missed Aqua and Ven too, and half of him wished they were here just so that they knew where he was or where he seemed to keep disappearing to. But they were looking for Sora so that was important and hopefully they were still together at least.]

I really wish there was a better explanation as to how we get here, or the whole why we're here.

I know, it would be nice to know. Because, at this point, going home wouldn't be a bad thing.

[Serious blue eyes turned to look at Tommy.]

I get what you mean. And it seems there's always something to do here. But just being told to exist in this world isn't very helpful.

Yeah, You're... fuck. You're just not wrong about that. It's not easy.

[He wasn't sure what to make of the use of that language, but Terra wasn't going to pay it much mind. Still, he nodded as he continued his walk.]

I sometimes wonder if the locals have it all figured out and they just don't trust us enough to tell us.

I don't know, they don't seem to recognize what is wrong here, you know? LIke, how things change.

[So if there is a secret, it's from the locals.]

[He shook his head.]

Things change and people act like whatever happens it's been there all along. Like the Coliseum for example. It wasn't there, then it was and people didn't seem shocked. So someone has to know something about it.
