The February chill was persisting as one tended to expect, and most may find the warmth and comfort of a hot beverage curled up inside under some cozy blankets more appealing than venturing out into the cold and snow… But not all.

Maybe it was the resistance to ice linked to Goemon, but Yusuke had found himself rather comfortable as he strolled through the park on his morning off. The high collar of his winter coat and gloves was enough to combat the cool breeze, and scattered flurries tossed up in the air now. He had nowhere to be, and while he may be tempted to practice forms and train a little later with his katana to keep sharp for whatever chaos this place threw at them next? For now, he was content to enjoy the atmosphere and admire the scenery of the park covered in snow that glistened in the morning sun.

Sometimes, he mused to himself, the most beautiful works of art were those brought about by mother nature herself… Framing a particular scene of a snowy hilltop with trees dusted in white and birds flitting about the branches he smiled to himself as he committed that scene to memory before continuing on.

At one point or another, the phantom thief found himself inspired to try his hand at working with snow after having seen a few snowmen around the city at one point or another. Snow sculptures seemed an interesting challenge, and he does so love a challenge when it comes to creating. So rather than work on his usual traditional art, he could be seen piling and packing snow as he tried his hand at a little snow sculpting. The subject of his piece being a shadow from memory, one of the more jolly ice based ones.

People with special abilities he could understand. Sora and the other keyblade wielders were among those like that. So he nodded. "Then let's hope if this Jack Frost or whatever finds itself here, that we have the people to take care of it."

Leon sighed and folded his arms over his chest. "This place can cause enough trouble as it is without borrowing trouble from elsewhere."

“Indeed, but for now, the only ones present at the artistic kind.” Yusuke offered a light nod to the snow sculptures before him; he seems fairly unbothered by the idea. Really, there were three phantom thieves here and two other persona users from an entirely different group. The teen has confidence that among them all, a few jack frosts would be fairly easy to contend with if they should arrive.

Though he did rather hope that if it did ever come to pass that they came across them before, those who did not know how to deal with such creatures. “I have rather noticed that about this place, it can be rather worrying or vexing in equal measures some times. Though things seem rather calm for the moment.” He added thoughtfully, absently hoping he didn’t tempt fate by saying as much.

"So you're saying we have faeries?" That was news to him but then again Leon didn't go cavorting around to go see things. His was a pretty simple life and plan. He had a routine and didn't really go beyond it and he really didn't have to. So he really didn't. But seeing this sight and hearing about these fae might have him change his mind.

"For the moment is definitely the truth." Leon replied with a sigh and a sip of his coffee. "I like the quiet, but we just never know when something is going to happen." And of course he thought about those he would protect as he said that.

Oh, dear. Was that what he took from the statement? Yusuke tilted his head slightly with a curious expression and a small smile. “Goodness no, or at least I couldn’t say we do with any particular certainty.” There’s much about this world they don’t know, and he wouldn’t be surprised if there had been faeries. “When I referred to the artistic kind, I meant my snow sculptures sitting before us.” He ended with a little flourish.

Yusuke hummed, offering a small nod of agreement. “Often the most quiet times are the ones upset the most by some form of calamity. I do like the chance we have had to catch our breath, but you are right. One never knows when things shall change.” But that also made the quiet moments all the more important, he thought.

Leon felt an immense sense of relief when Yusuke sort of confirmed there were no faeries here. From the story the other had told with especially this Jack Frost character that might be a huge pain to deal with. But his blue eyes focused on the things that Yusuke was pointing out and quickly hid his smirk with the flourish his companion did.

So he nodded at the change of topic. "Calamity comes here in waves it seems. Something major happens and then it goes back to quite for awhile." Which was something they'd been enjoying for some time which helped Leon and everyone else he was sure.

"We'll just have to keep our eyes open."

“Yes, I rather think sometimes that whatever is at play in this place like to keep us all on our toes, so to speak.” Which was both a concern but an interesting experience, nonetheless. He did wish it meant less danger for those around, but at times, the excitement did inspire and keep one’s skills sharp.

So he offered a small nod. They would simply have to be watchful and ready for the next big upheaval when it arrived. “Indeed, we shall!”

He nodded to the youth. "I try to keep in contact with the guard on a regular basis. So if trouble's coming down, then as soon as we know I'll be getting the word out."

"And if this Jack Frost character or anyone shows, let me know."

“Ah, I do know someone who works as a guard. They do tend to know the goings on before we do, so it’s quite helpful to keep an ear out for news from them.” He agreed, though he only really knew Nida for the most part. He avoided the other guards out of habit, though. The law didn’t tend to mix well with him and his friends.

The request gets a hum of agreement and a small nod. “Of course, I shall gladly share any information that I come across should so something strange happen upon the city again.”

"Oh. Well that would work." People in the guard usually did have the scoop on things before the rest of them so that was a great idea.

So he took another look at the snow men, and tried to memorize them as Yusuke spoke again. "I could use a heads up, so thanks."

He wouldn't admit it, but he would be out there helping to get people to safety. It just wasn't something that Leon would advertise.

“Think nothing of it. It’s good for us all to keep each other updated and offer support given how strange the place can be.” He responded with a small nod at the thanks for the heads up. It just seemed more sensible to warn the people he knew how to reach if something came up. As nice as it was to think the three phantoms could be everywhere at once to offer help, it was quite impossible. They could all only do what they could, and there was a lot of ground to cover in the city.

"You got that right." Leon replied with a sigh. And thankfully they had tellphones in this place so information could get to each of them as long as the network was up. That was something that Leon wanted to check into as well but wasn't sure that he had all of the know how needed. Back home he had Cid's help along with Aerith's to keep things running smoothly in case something came up.

"But alright, I've got work to do. Let me know if something comes up."

“Indeed, I shall be sure to reach out if anything should happen that seems worthy of mention.” He responded with a polite smile, looking up from his sculptures finally as he supposed manners dictated that he granted the man proper attention, as was polite when they were at an end to a conversation. “I shall let you get to your work, then. Do have a good afternoon!”

"Thanks."

Well here he was, going back to work. Maybe he'd take the long route and stop and get a cup of hot chocolate. It wasn't like he was on a timeclock or anything.

"You too." Leon replied with a nod and turned and walked off.
