[ Mono is getting serious now. It’s been months and the kid realizes he probably has made this more complicated than it needed to be, but it’s a little late to change that now. So, everyone gets a clear view (well… not clear, the static is still fizzling by now and again) of him sitting on his bed with a few books scattered around him.

His moth friend was also present, sitting on his head and peering down with what might be curiosity at whatever Mono was doing.

He would have just done this at this historium, but she doesn’t seem to do well with the cold of winter still present outside. ]

I got some problems.

[ The boy says rather plainly, dark eyes peering through the screen at you all rather imploringly. ‘Problems’ is something of an understatement if one were talking about other things, but he wasn’t talking about those things. He was actually talking about less serious things… but in a serious, quiet way. ]

I can’t figure out if any of the stuff I could call my moth friend sound good or not.

[ This is the least serious problem, but he thinks it is, okay? ]

Also, she doesn’t like the cold, so she’s kinda stuck inside… So I can’t take her with me to get more books to try to find a name in. So um… I was wondering if anyone wants to help me figure it out?

Oh I do so love naming of sweet and wonderful pets. I would be glad to join you to talk on it. What sorts of names were you thinking upon?

[ Ah! Mr. Rhy always seems good with words! Mono looked hopeful at the offer! ]

Thanks! Um… I dunno, I keep thinking how she’s all white and fluffy? I thought snowflake, but that doesn’t seem right since she doesn’t like the winter much.

[ That just seems like a mean name. ]

And then I thought she kinda looks like those fairies in books, but I dunno.

[ A pause. ]

I really never had to name anyone before, y’know?

Many people can be lost when they must first name a thing. Have you considered Fluff or Cotton? Whispy?

[monochromatically]

So it’s normal?

[ That’s good. Mono has felt kinda bad for not knowing for so long now. ]

She does kinda look like a fluffy cotton ball, huh? [ Those go on ‘The List,’ then he paused. The last one sounded interesting. He’s never heard it before. ] What’s Whispy mean?

Well, it's sort of like wispy but also like a whisper I think?

[monochromatically]

[ Mono tapped his chin lightly, considering Rhy’s words very seriously, before he nodded a little. He thinks he kind of understood. ]

She is really quiet most of the time, aside from these funny little squeak noises she sometimes makes. So that might kinda work?

Noises, huh? I was not aware that moths made such noises. But it works best if you and she is most delighted by it.

[monochromatically]

Uh-huh! But not often. Mostly she’s just quiet.

[ Maybe it was because she was just so big, or maybe it had something to do with moths in his world. He might have to learn more about moths someday. ]

Whispy… Hm. I kinda like it. Do you like it?

[ The moth peers down, wings fluttering lightly. ]

Kinda hard to tell, but I don’t think she doesn’t like it?

Well that's something. It gives you a place to start perhaps.

Yeah, it’s better than what I started with!

[ which was very small and now it had one more option. A better option, the boy thinks. ]

You’re really good at this stuff, huh?

Oh I do not believe that I am particularly good at it. But I do my best to try and help things. And names...

I know so many names.

[monochromatically]

You seem good at it to me. Better than I am, I’ve been thinking for months now!

[ Accept the compliment, Rhy. The kid’s mind cannot be changed.]

How do you know so many names, though?

Ah, the answer there is quite simple. I was an active patron of the arts.

So..you're trying to come up with a name for her?

[monochromatically]

[ Mono offered a little affirmative nod through the feed, the moth wiggling a bit to rebalance herself on his head. ]

Yup. It seems kinda bad that she’s been around for so long, and I still dunno what to call her. I never had to name anyone before, and I don’t wanna give her a bad name.

[ So the boy had perhaps thought a little too long and hard for this much time to have passed. ]

[Terra smiled.]

Yup a name is pretty important. But you could go by what she looks like or a personality trait that she has.

[He himself never had to name anything so he could completely understand this predicament.]

[monochromatically]

I thought about naming her based on what she looks like, but all I could think of was snow type names since she’s white like snow… But snow names seem kinda mean since she doesn’t like the cold.

[ It was much harder than it sounded. ]

[He thought a minute.]

Maybe you could name her after a white flower if she doesn't like the cold?

[He first thought of food, but had quickly dismissed that thought.]

[monochromatically]

Oh, I didn’t think of flowers!

[ Tapping his chin, the boy tilted his head slightly with a curious look. ]

I don’t know what a lotta flowers are called. Do you know any that might be good?

[Terra made a doubtful face. Flowers were Aerith's things and if she didn't know, then he could go to a library.]

I only know of roses and lilies. But I can look some more up for you.

[monochromatically]

Hmm… She doesn’t seem like a rose or a lily.

[ Mono tilted his head slightly as he wondered where he could find more names. ]

Really? I don’t wanna bug you if you're busy with a lot of stuff, but it would help.

[ Otherwise, when it gets a little warmer out, maybe he and his moth friend could go looking. ]

[He shook his head.]

I'm happy to help, especially if it'll help you two out.

[Although he really wasn't sure how a moth was going to convey she was happy with whatever name Mono chose for her.]

[monochromatically]

[ Mono had not thought of that either, but he was still taking this rather seriously. He was happy so long as she stuck around, so if she didn’t disappear after being named, he would probably take that as a good sign. ]

Give me a day or two and I'll have them ready for you.

Okay! I’ll wait till you got them ready! Or if I come up with a name before, then I can let ya know so you don’t gotta work on it.

[ Because one never knew what would happen over the course of a day or so. ]
