Back in November, Ignis petitioned Halcyn for a Winter Festival. He requested snow, lots of lights, and an in ground hot tub or two or more.

Train/moogles/horses - There's also a small train to go ride around the city, and horses will again appear for sleigh rides. Moogles will be appearing/on hand to give directions to where things are if people get lost. They are also serving as sources of information in case someone doesn't know anything about a festival or activity. Just ask the moogle kupo!

Food/shopping - Ignis also learned of and requested that European style christmas markets (including Japanese ones) so all of the foods for those countries and all of the things/traditions that they are associated with will be available. Whatever country has what, feel free to learn about it, or whatever different world. Recipe books will be available for whatever place too so pick one up while you can because you might want to learn to cook it for yourself! (Sorry folks, Remy not included) Enjoy all the shopping and fooding even if you've never heard of that place, world or food before. So eat, drink and be merry!

Activities/things to do - Skiing, sledding, skating and tobogganing will be available and if you're really tough, maybe archery hunting in skis may appeal. Riding on a ski lift can be a relaxing thing to do as well. Snowboarding is available as well, but a few words of caution on that. There may be sledding moogles as you go, lots of trees to run into, balloons, and if you hit an igloo, there may be an angry moogle that throws a table at you. There are also snow chocobos and snow moogles along that path.

For those not so daring to go snowboarding, the snow moogles and snow chocobos will be around town in different spots so that they're not missed. And while they won't throw snowballs at you, your friends just might! And you can ride a horse to go see a model of a royal library. A word of caution however, as there may be monsters even if they're mostly slimecicles. There may be some Luminous Lamplings or Bongo Fandangos lurking about too.

Other activities/happenings - There will also be events and things for the Chinese New Year, such as lion dances, all sorts of traditional foods, decorations, fire works, firecrackers and kids might get red envelopes. Since it is now the Year of the Rabbit, adorable rabbit decorations of all sorts are everywhere. On the last day of this Winter event will be the Lantern Festival.

Something else to note - If you're feeling adventurous there's a place or two to get married! The Hunting Lodge is always open so you could married there too! Take a walk through some Christmas illuminations for romance, or just because they're pretty.

Other notes - People from home will appear this week too as it's a fourth wall event, so be on the lookout for them! And if all of this stuff doesn't work, feel free to choose your own wintry adventure!

Behind Genesis, Angeal smiled. He was dressed up and had been trailing his friend all day. But he had to cover a laugh when Genesis stated that a fuse was too short. Angeal wanted to pipe up at that point and tell him to look at himself for that one.

When the firecrackers were going off, he nodded at the red haired man. "They're having a fireworks show in about ten minutes. Let's grab some drinks and head over."

Meeting Angeal here had been far from what Genesis had expected, but Genesis had done his best to take it in, metaphorical, stride. It had ached, to see his friend so vibrant, so alive. And it hurt as well, because he had wished that he had never lost the man.

Though being chided to take care of himself while being bribed with entertainment seemed in character.

"I suppose that is a reasonable thing to do."

It pained Angeal deep down to have parted ways with Genesis and Sephiroth. The three Firsts had been so tight back in the day. But it wore down Angeal to see the competition and strife and so for his own very personal reasons he took his feelings and poured them into someone else.

The loss still ached but he wasn't going to go over that because he didn't know how long Genesis would be here.

"I heard there's a good spot on a hill, so we'll be far enough away but still get a good view."

With the drinks there was food too, and Angeal had more than enough coin to cover them both.

A good spot on a hill. It was so very much to their style. And he ached for that.

"Alright then. This seems fitting enough. And if you get cold, I shall of course manage it."

Angeal had to smile at hearing the part about cold. "I'll be fine. And if either of us gets cold, it's probably going to be you."

Maybe he should get a coat in that case.

"My coat is perfectly warm," Genesis points out, and he definitely doesn't think he would get cold first. Which was wrong. Angeal always had a better constitution than Genesis had.

Which of course had to do with early signs of degradation, not that they had known it.

Angeal shook his head, knowing it was useless to argue with Genesis. "If you say so." But he figured he might have to go home and grab a coat later, so he was prepared for that.

It was kind of nice in a way too, to be looking out for Genesis as he tried to when they were kids.

He does say so. In fact, he had said so, hadn't he?

"Faith, my friend. My tolerances are restored thanks to the actions of a certain pup."

That had Angeal looking at Genesis for a minute. "So you came across Zack." Well that was good, or at least it sounded like it was a good thing anyway.

Yes, he had. Genesis sighed and shook his head.

"My friend, your desire is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess," he said before chuckling and shaking his head. "Or rather in this case, the puppy is such."

Angeal shook his head with a smile and refrained from the comment that he wanted to make although he did smile at those old familiar words. How he'd missed them.

"He's grown since the last time I saw him." Back home, lying on a cold floor and rain pouring down soon thereafter.

"But let's head out."

Has he? Genesis didn't think so. The pup was tiny, like he always was.

"As you will," Genesis said, tucking his hands into his pockets. And, after a moment... "Is this the Lifestream?"

Looking over at Genesis, he was surprised at the question. "No, this isn't the Lifestream because I was brought out of it to come here for whatever reason." Angeal sighed. "From what I understand, it's another world."

Ah, there it was. Damn this place, it's a mess. It's interesting to have the attention on him of course.

"Another world. What a wonder to consider. And you have been gifted the blessings of new life. Truly this is a gift beyond the goddess herself."

There was a very light and brief laugh at hearing Genesis speak. "And here I found myself hoping that you could explain something about it."

Really, he was hoping Genesis had some sort of divine knowledge because it sure beat the 'you're just here because, that's why.'

Explain something? What int he world would he have to explain here?

"My friend, I'm more at a loss here than I expect you are."

Angeal smiled. "Don't worry about it. Try to relax and enjoy the festival. It can't hurt, right?"

So much for Genesis having some sort of answer from a Goddess.

Can't it?

"A moment stolen with a lost friend, in a world that isn't? Yes, perhaps it could."

Angeal just laughed a little bit. "Then what are you planning to do? Just sort of wander around until you go back?"

Perhaps. It seems fair.

"Is that not what I have been doing for many years, since that day of great fate?"

"And you're not tired of that."

It was really a question and Angeal maintained his smile. Surely Genesis had other things to think about or do here.

Of course he is tired of it. The man sneers in response, because they both know better.

"I do not care to make plans I may not be around for."

"Then you should try and make some memories while you're here." Angeal replied in a somber sort of tone. He had no idea what or when Genesis would be returning to but it did make him miss the red head even if that person was standing right in front of him.

Memories. All he ever had these days, had since Angeal had passed, was memories.

"Memories do not keep me warm when it's cold, old friend."

There was a sigh. "Then let's give you some warmer memories. We can get something to eat, or if you want to do something else besides the fireworks, you can let me know."
