Back in November, Ignis petitioned Halcyn for a Winter Festival. He requested snow, lots of lights, and an in ground hot tub or two or more.

Train/moogles/horses - There's also a small train to go ride around the city, and horses will again appear for sleigh rides. Moogles will be appearing/on hand to give directions to where things are if people get lost. They are also serving as sources of information in case someone doesn't know anything about a festival or activity. Just ask the moogle kupo!

Food/shopping - Ignis also learned of and requested that European style christmas markets (including Japanese ones) so all of the foods for those countries and all of the things/traditions that they are associated with will be available. Whatever country has what, feel free to learn about it, or whatever different world. Recipe books will be available for whatever place too so pick one up while you can because you might want to learn to cook it for yourself! (Sorry folks, Remy not included) Enjoy all the shopping and fooding even if you've never heard of that place, world or food before. So eat, drink and be merry!

Activities/things to do - Skiing, sledding, skating and tobogganing will be available and if you're really tough, maybe archery hunting in skis may appeal. Riding on a ski lift can be a relaxing thing to do as well. Snowboarding is available as well, but a few words of caution on that. There may be sledding moogles as you go, lots of trees to run into, balloons, and if you hit an igloo, there may be an angry moogle that throws a table at you. There are also snow chocobos and snow moogles along that path.

For those not so daring to go snowboarding, the snow moogles and snow chocobos will be around town in different spots so that they're not missed. And while they won't throw snowballs at you, your friends just might! And you can ride a horse to go see a model of a royal library. A word of caution however, as there may be monsters even if they're mostly slimecicles. There may be some Luminous Lamplings or Bongo Fandangos lurking about too.

Other activities/happenings - There will also be events and things for the Chinese New Year, such as lion dances, all sorts of traditional foods, decorations, fire works, firecrackers and kids might get red envelopes. Since it is now the Year of the Rabbit, adorable rabbit decorations of all sorts are everywhere. On the last day of this Winter event will be the Lantern Festival.

Something else to note - If you're feeling adventurous there's a place or two to get married! The Hunting Lodge is always open so you could married there too! Take a walk through some Christmas illuminations for romance, or just because they're pretty.

Other notes - People from home will appear this week too as it's a fourth wall event, so be on the lookout for them! And if all of this stuff doesn't work, feel free to choose your own wintry adventure!

Can't it?

"A moment stolen with a lost friend, in a world that isn't? Yes, perhaps it could."

Angeal just laughed a little bit. "Then what are you planning to do? Just sort of wander around until you go back?"

Perhaps. It seems fair.

"Is that not what I have been doing for many years, since that day of great fate?"

"And you're not tired of that."

It was really a question and Angeal maintained his smile. Surely Genesis had other things to think about or do here.

Of course he is tired of it. The man sneers in response, because they both know better.

"I do not care to make plans I may not be around for."

"Then you should try and make some memories while you're here." Angeal replied in a somber sort of tone. He had no idea what or when Genesis would be returning to but it did make him miss the red head even if that person was standing right in front of him.

Memories. All he ever had these days, had since Angeal had passed, was memories.

"Memories do not keep me warm when it's cold, old friend."

There was a sigh. "Then let's give you some warmer memories. We can get something to eat, or if you want to do something else besides the fireworks, you can let me know."

Warmer memories aren't good for that, Angeal, surely.

Still, food sounds nice.

"I'm sure there's no dumbapples."

That got Angeal to smile. "No, but with the way people create pies here, if I could get my hands on some, I'd have to bake quite a few."

"People like pies here, more than back home?"

Genesis found himself missing some of the sort Angeal's mother had made. Small little ones, pie crust wrapped around the filling but hand sized. Oh but what a delight they had been.

He smiled. "I wouldn't know. I don't have the gift of getting people to open up and talk to me that you have."

And it was a trait that Angeal admired about Genesis. That man could get anyone to talk, pretty much about anything.

Who said he had a gift?

"Would that I had a gift to get them to silence themselves," Genesis said with a sigh.

That had him laugh slightly. "Well people seem to open up to you, or they did back home anyway. I seem to recall more than once having to wait for some fangirl or other to stop listening to you."

Yes, that was something else entirely.

"It is only reasonable that a fan of Loveless should attend the lectures of a far more educated scholar of the text."

Angeal shook his head.

"Scholar or master more like. And that's really all those people were after?"

He doesn't believe that for a second.

"I cannot fathom what else they would desire," he lied with that smoothness he always brought to his lies. Mayhaps he even believed it, or might seem to believe it.

Angeal shrugged.

"Maybe it was just to spend some time with you. Kind of like with all of that fan club business."

"Ah, like the near kissing of the boots they did in the face of your honor and humility?" Genesis asked, seeming amused. Because why would he not be? His friend was very much in keeping with those ideals, to the point where it could be frustrating.

Angeal sighed and shook his head. "Don't remind me." He never understood why Shinra even bothered to make those little 'glee clubs'. Yes he heard the 'reasons' but they still never made sense to him.

Hey, Genesis's clubs were less Shinra based and more fandom and thsoe things make themselves.

"What, you don't want reminded how much people adored you?"

"Adored Genesis, past tense. And adored is a strong word for people who only know what bits and pieces Shinra decides to sell them on."

He sighed, because it was always the other way around between them.

"You are yet to be adored here? Clearly you're not being honorable enough," Genesis dismisses. "You would have a fan club if you were."

Angeal sighed. "I don't know if they even know about fan clubs here, Genesis. And we didn't need them back home either."

Shinra thought so, but Angeal didn't.

"Perhaps they should be taught, so you can be lauded."

ANd Genesis thinks that is something Angeal deserved, more than he or Sephiroth had.
