Leon was out and about. He didn't pay attention to much to his surroundings, because going to the Coliseum to fight for him was just 'another day at the office'. So he kept his eyes straight ahead and kept moving. There was a fight lined up and he fully intended to lay the person out flat.

As he walked towards his destination, Leon could feel the fire inside of him rolling around and he couldn't wait to use it.

But as he continued, a lone veined leaf got stuck inside of the fluff of his jacket and he pulled it out to look at the offender that dared snag itself in the white lining.

And that's when the memories came out when he looked at it quizzically.

"Oh, everything. Apparently most of my lifetime has been part of a relatively stable time loop. Things happened because someone told a person in the past that they would happen," Nida said. IT was a mess.

Leon was more than sure he'd receive a headache at some point soon with trying to figure this out.

"And you said this happened recently."

[skyward_eyes]

Oh yes, it was such a headache. Nida tried not to remember too much.

"Technically it's been happening since I was a child, and won't close for at least another century? Perhaps even longer?"

So the cycle would come to an end, well that was a relief even if it wasn't his problem.

Leon then just shook his head. "That's the mess you're going back to then?"

"I'm not going back," Nida said almost instantly. His feelings on it were as strong now as they had always been.

That had Leon confused. "So how is it that you're not going back home?"

Maybe he got granted special permission or something. That had to be it.

[skyward_eyes]

"I don't want to," Nida said with a shrug. "My husband and I have spoken about it with the powers here. We think it's possible for us to stay."

[heartofalion]

Leon nodded, as he could understand that for some this was a peaceful place. "If they've agreed and this place is still standing, that's your call."

He wasn't going to judge.

[skyward_eyes]

Still standing? Well that's ominous to hear.

"Guess I just have to put all of my mercenary skills to use and keep it standing tall."

[heartofalion]

Leon had to laugh a little.

"Now that sounds like a guy with determination."

[skyward_eyes]

Of course it was.

"Or rather someone who has something to stand tall for."

[heartofalion]

Leon nodded. "There's that too. But that's good to hear."

[skyward_eyes]

Nida nodded with a smile.

"See, that's something I assume is the same between you and the Commander. I think you'll both always stand tall."

[heartofalion]

Leon shook his head and folded his arms over his chest. "It does make me wonder about this other version of me that you know."

Maybe Aerith had been right to be curious about an alternate her. Well who was he kidding? She was almost always right.

[skyward_eyes]

"Well, ask if you want. I don't know him as well as many, I wasn't a classmate but a yearmate, and then he was the boss."

And so Nida didn't have all of the information. But he could try.

Leon looked at the ground as Nida spoke about this man that was another..him. It sounded crazy, but Aerith and Cloud here were proof, as had been Yuffie with the brief time she'd been here too. None of them knew him yet he knew them. This was just the opposite.

Sighing, he looked back up at Nida. "What's so special about this guy?"

"He saved the world," Nida answered with a shrug. What could be more important than that. "Saved us all. Led us through the worst. What isn't special about him?"

[heartofalion]

He had to smile at hearing Nida talk about this other guy. If he didn't know any better, it almost sounded like a crush, but that wasn't any of his business so he wouldn't ask.

"No wonder you seem to look up to him so much then."

It was totally fair though.

"I always wonder if this one can be saved, more than what we've been told."

Which wasn't much at all.

Oh, there had definitely been a crush in the past. But that was in the past.

"I do. I sort of owe my life to him. A few times over. How could I not look up to that?"

Still, this one seems rather likely to be saved.

"It's better than the Iteration and Dualis, so I'm hoping for it."

[heartofalion]

Leon nodded and just kept his thoughts to himself. But it would be interesting to see if this guy that Nida knew showed up.

"I get that." And really he did.

The new names mentioned he took to mean other worlds but then again he knew a thing or two about different worlds.

"It's what you make of it I guess, since we don't seem to really have anyone running this place."

Of course he wouldn't show up. Nida didn't mind it though. He was happy here on his own, with his life and no expectations of that world upon him again.

"You think the two sorta-gods aren't running things? Well, you could run for political office then. Be... president or something."

Oh no, his eyes have to be twinkling with amusement. A 'I know something you don't know' sort of look.

He wasn't sure where Nida was going with the whole president thing, but he was still amused. "I'll have to make sure I ask around, but I'm not sure we need a president."

He didn't even want to get started on what he thought of the deities here. They weren't doing a bad job per say but folks here could really use a lot more information.

"How about a king, but we call it president?"

Squall would probably hit him by now, or glower. Nida's having fun.

[heartofalion]

"Uh..I don't think this place needs a king." Leon replied, shaking his head.

The president thing had him thinking though. "I'll see what I can find out. But don't think I won't ask for your help."

[skyward_eyes]

"Ask for my help with what? Are you going to be a politician?"

Nida almost looks horrified.

"I don't want to be involved with politics."
