Hey, looking for some advice! I need to find something pink. Clothing or an accessory. I've got this really important meeting, and I'm supposed to wear pink. Except I'm really new to this place and I literally don't know where any of the shops are.

Not that I'm lost or anything. I've got an awesome sense of direction and all of that.

Anyway, uh, advice is totally wanted. Not the greatest at picking out clothes and stuff.

Oh, and is there a weapons vendor anywhere?

Wait, I thought I was the pup?

I'm so confused. But yeah, I'll come down.

There's a new pup in town Soldier. But we'll meet you out front.

I'm so intrigued. But yeah, I'm putting on my boots now and coming down.

[It's not long before Angeal takes the pup to the Green building and the little thing is wagging it's tail while the man waits for Zack. Half of him still can't believe that Zack is actually here.]

[He's still light on his feet, and it's easy for Zack to make his way down from his floor to the downstairs. He respected the place. A desk, a lobby, a gathering place, and keeping the actual residences on a second floor. That was a good choice. Gave you space.

Still, he's down there before Angeal is, and so he flops down on a chair. Just in time for the door to open and him to see a familiar figure.]

Angeal.

Zack.

[He still couldn't believe it. So he picked up the small pup and pet its head affectionately.]

This is the younger pup. And he still needs a name so maybe you can help with that.

[Well, there he was. Looking as good as he had back in Wutai. That was so very, very long ago. Still, he puts on his best smile. An animal, huh?]

Call it Gen.

[Angeal felt like his whole head was spinning at seeing Zack. Not hurt, not dying, not ready to go the Lifestream. What sort of magic was this? And the only reason he pulled his head back was because of the name.]

Gen? And that's short for Genesis?

[Well that was a surprise.]

[Zack moves closer to Angeal, moving close enough that he could almost touch. but he doesn't.]

I mean, why not?

[For his part, Angeal watched every move Zack made. Reaching out wasn't his thing, but he still wanted to. Instead, he pet the dog. Feigning indifference, he shrugged.]

Looks like he now has a name.

[Perhaps Angeal should make it his thing. Zack continued forward, finally reaching out to pet the pup.]

He deserves it. The namesake, not the pup. He'd be annoyed for the name choice, and he deserves it for the headaches he gave me.

[Wow, Zack was so much taller now. Angeal noticed it without trying to notice it.]

Genesis isn't here. And I'm really surprised that you are.

[Was he? Damn, Zack wouldn't have even noticed.]

Unlike us, he's still decidedly alive. I think. The planet got weird about it. Then again, Cloud and Aerith are here so...

[There is a big shrug there.]

[That got a look from Angeal, hearing about how the other said the pup was alive. Okay. And then he heard the last part and he blinked. Just like back home all over again but in a different world. It made him pull the pup in his arms to him as he went over things that happened between them back home.]

Well that's good news that your friends are here, right?

[And he tried to mentally prepare to let Zack go all over again, but easier this time.]

[He meant Genesis, not the dog.]

You mean our friends. Cloud will totally like you. And I've told Aerith all about you.

[The former First shook his head.]

Not sure he'll forgive me for punching him in the stomach in Modeoheim.

[There was a nod at the part about Aerith. Yup, that was going to not be an issue this time. Zack deserved to be happy with his girlfriend. And in this world there weren't Shinra or their army to come break them up or get in their way.]

I'm sure I'll meet her eventually.

I'm forgiving you for making me kill you. And your copy helped protect him in Banora. I think it's even .

[Seriously? His people are here, don't be distant, Angeal.]

[Angeal lowered his head slightly. Trust Zack to bring something like that up. So he turned his attention towards the pup and spoke.]

Not everyone is like you Zack.

[What did he expect? Angeal had hurt him in a real way. And that hurt, even years old, was still there. Though he's not a kid anymore, so forgiveness is a tough more complicated.]

The world might be better if people were just a little more like me.

[Pained blue eyes looked at Zack for a moment, before there was a hint of a smile.]

Sorry to inform you Soldier, but you're one of a kind.

[Which was what he'd thought the day he'd chosen the other as a mentee.]

Yeah, I guess I am.

[He's not part of Project G after all. Not really.]

But everyone's typically unique.

In their own way.

[Angeal nodded in agreement.]

[That's evasive. Zack gestures to a couch out here and moves to sit down on it.]

So, how long have you been here?

[Angeal didn't move to sit next to Zack and remained standing. But he set the puppy down and let it go sit next to the taller pup on the couch.]

I haven't been here all that long. A few weeks maybe at most. I was in the Lifestream and then showed up in this place. I was given some backpack and a gnome ran off after hearing some sort of half assed explanation as to what to do here.

[Angeal, stop being so boring and come sit down. Geez. Well, at least Zack can pet the puppy now.]

Yeah, that sounds just about right for what I've been through. Guess I'm right there with you, except I don't remember getting to the Lifestream properly.
