A Soldier and a smol pup
Angeal landed in a fountain and fortunately found an odd change of clothes in his new 'apartment' while his dried. And he did try his best to keep up with that gnome guy or whoever handed him the blue satchel and took off. But it scurried under some fallen tree trunks and even with his heightened senses and enhanced physical abilities, the First Class couldn't seem to keep up and it frustratingly disappeared out of sight.
Where this place was and why he was here wasn't answered. Why he was back from the Lifestream had gone unanswered. Everything about this place made absolute zero sense. He could remember picking Zack up from the battlefield, and bringing him to the Lifestream. And he even touched his own back. No Buster sword there, he'd given that to Zack who gave it to Cloud.
And then he wandered with his thoughts tumbling over each other eventually he came to the park and found a small wooden bench. So he sat down and tried to figure this new place out. He's not quite sure what is going on or why he's back from the Lifestream. Nothing looks familiar and as he continued to sit there, his ears picked up the sound of a small whine.
Standing up, the First Class started to look around and finally located the sound coming from a very small ball of fur.
Turning to someone nearby, he shook his head. "Does he belong to you?"

"There are dogs. Mister Llewellyn has one. It is named Pretzel."
She doesn't really know why, but it's true.
no subject
"I'm guessing they're allowed in the apartments then."
Whereas back home he couldn't have one if he was new to the army. Since he was a First he could though.

"I think so."
no subject
"Ah, then you should find Llewellyn! He would know where to get feed for your scentb- dog. For the dog."
no subject
And the he nodded. "If I see him I'll make sure to ask though."
no subject
"He has a dog with very floppy ears. I cannot imagine why. It trips over them. It is very cute."
no subject
Like winding up alive again, that was definitely one of them.
Angeal half laughed to hear about this dog and it gave him a silly mental image. "It makes me wonder if his dog is still a pup yet if it's tripping over its own ears as you say."
Not that he doubted her.
no subject
"I do not know. I just know that it follows things by scent. Which makes the big ears weird."
no subject
"I'll have to ask him if we cross paths. But it's not something I'm going to go out of my way to find out yet."
no subject
Surely that is what he means. Unless she misunderstands.

"Yes, very different. Shorter legs compared to the length of the body. A far more pronounced muzzle and nose, a droopy face, and the fur was closer and more sleek."
Truly she hadn't entirely been certain they were the same creature.
no subject
"Definitely sounds like a different type of dog then with that sort of detailed description."
This was accompanied with a smile.

At least that logic worked in his own mind.

It did worry him that it was a possibility, so he planned on keeping his pup at a distance before trying to see if they'd get along.

Looking at Lauri-Ell, the former First smiled. "Or it might not happen at all."
no subject
So she didn't know a lot of how humanity's beasts behave.
no subject
"Have you ever seen a chocobo?"
no subject
Perhaps she should invest in one. But are there ones big enough for her? A mystery.
no subject
"Glad to hear they're in use here though."
no subject
Which did not mean they didn't exist. They clearly existed.
