A Soldier and a smol pup
Angeal landed in a fountain and fortunately found an odd change of clothes in his new 'apartment' while his dried. And he did try his best to keep up with that gnome guy or whoever handed him the blue satchel and took off. But it scurried under some fallen tree trunks and even with his heightened senses and enhanced physical abilities, the First Class couldn't seem to keep up and it frustratingly disappeared out of sight.
Where this place was and why he was here wasn't answered. Why he was back from the Lifestream had gone unanswered. Everything about this place made absolute zero sense. He could remember picking Zack up from the battlefield, and bringing him to the Lifestream. And he even touched his own back. No Buster sword there, he'd given that to Zack who gave it to Cloud.
And then he wandered with his thoughts tumbling over each other eventually he came to the park and found a small wooden bench. So he sat down and tried to figure this new place out. He's not quite sure what is going on or why he's back from the Lifestream. Nothing looks familiar and as he continued to sit there, his ears picked up the sound of a small whine.
Standing up, the First Class started to look around and finally located the sound coming from a very small ball of fur.
Turning to someone nearby, he shook his head. "Does he belong to you?"

"Have you ever seen a chocobo?"

Perhaps she should invest in one. But are there ones big enough for her? A mystery.

"Glad to hear they're in use here though."
no subject
Which did not mean they didn't exist. They clearly existed.

He knew of the local tavern in town, and it might be useful to sit there and try and gather some information there too by listening in on the conversations around him. Thanks to his enhanced hearing, Angeal figured he should be able to find out things pretty quickly.

"Then you are familiar with them," she says, sounding pleased. "You might wish to go to the farm them. Meet a new animal friend."
no subject
"Have you been there?"

She was, after all, a soldier. Walking long distances wasn't that weird.
no subject
"How long have you been here?" This was him trying to figure this place out, but he was having terrible luck with it.

And she can't make it better.

"We wait our times to leave, I suppose."

The former First shook his head. "Makes me wonder if there are people that don't want to leave."

“I imagine there are some. It seems Master Ignis of the lodge is content here. He is wedded. And Master Llewellyn as well. Their husbands are not of the same world as they are.”

Shaking his head, he tried to clear his mind.
"So people are knowingly making connections that could very well break if they left."
He didn't get it.

“I understand Masters Watts-Maresh were involved before. In another world like this one in some ways. Perhaps this world respects that.”

So he shrugged. "If that's the case, maybe you're right."

But this is merely her opinion on things. And she is not often good at reading things.
“Is it not the bonds between people that build the world?”
no subject
Looking at her now, he sighed. "Yes, but it depends on the people running it too."
no subject
"Does it? How interesting. That is possible."
no subject
That was about as much as Angeal could offer on the topic really. He wasn't sure if fate was going to be kinder to him in this strange place.

"As you say. As for me, I must be going. there are things I must be about."
