Sooooo...[ Aerith's face comes on the camera with a bright smile. ] I was thinking we could all use something a little fun to do, so how about a little party? [ She pauses and then puts one finger up in the air and shakes her head. ] Wait, no, not a party [ forgive her Watts, it's not a party! ] a potluck get together. [ She told him she was going to do it. He'd better be prepared. ] I have decorations thought up and a location already, all I'd need is some people that might be willing to bring some food. That's the best part of a potluck right? Everyone bringing a dish of their own.
I was thinking maybe people could bring something from their own world. I had a talk with a friend a bit ago about how similar but different our homes are and maybe this would be a neat way to share that with each other. If you'd like to come, let me know so I have a general idea of what to expect. I'm thinking of holding it in a week.
That should be plenty of time, right? [ She thinks so at least. She falls silent for a second and, anyone that knows her well may notice her expression gets a bit more sad before she forces a smile again. ] Oh! I'm also going to start selling potted flowers so that people can take some of them home with them and maybe grow them in their own place. I already have two helpers to help me bring them to the shop, so we'll have them set up soon. Drop on by!
[ With that she moves to turn the thing off only to stop midway through. Anyone who knows her really well may notice that her expression drops for just a second before she speaks again. ]
I was also wondering if anyone else has been having any...[ no, she doesn't really want to mention that she's had some nightmares here and there. Hmm, how else to phrase this. ] Has anyone else experienced anything weird? It's been really cold at this one spot in my garden and at the shop but...it's not really...it doesn't feel quite natural. The flowers aren't really happy in that one spot either, even if they're still growing.
II. June Showers bring some Flowers
Aerith had made her announcement from her little garden that she'd only brought a few people to. It wasn't that she wanted to hide it from people, but more that sometimes she just wanted a place to be alone. Everyone wanted that now and then, right? The people closest to her like Llewellyn and Cloud knew where it was and how to open the gate. Today she'd planned on bringing a few potted plants back with her in a wheelbarrow to the shop but things didn't always go as planned.
Sadly, the flowers in the pot she'd put together had ended up in one of the cold spots she'd spoken of and they seemed to have started to wilt at the tips of their petals.
"Oh no. You poor thing," she frowned and set it down and let out a sigh. Only for her exasperation to grow as rain started to fall down on her head. She looked up with frustration at the sky. "You looked just fine a second ago!" Clearly, telling the sky it hadn't looked like it was going to rain is a very helpful thing to do.

"Hmm, that's kinda what I thought, but she insisted and we had to get in." So she hadn't really had much choice in the entire thing. "Plus, once she got started I was kinda just sucked into a whole whirlwind of changes!" A whirlwind that she stood no chance of stopping. "At least I got a pretty nice reaction out of Cloud. Could've done without the catcalling I got along the way to him though." Granted she was pretty sure Cloud had made a mental note of all the people who had catcalled both of them for future use of some kind. She wasn't even sure which one he'd been more annoyed by: the ones that were calling her or the ones that called him once he'd gotten dressed.
"Unsettling seems like the nice way to phrase it, but yup. Tifa and I got scent off as the scraps for the rest of his men to play with." And boy did she sound mad about that. Some men really were just completely disgusting.
"Wouldn't you like to know," she replied with a wink. Alas for him, clarification was not forthcoming.
"Soup of the day and the sandwich sounds pretty good! I'll go with that." And not just because she couldn't decide. Nope, not at all.

“I suppose once someone gets going, it is rather hard to interject if you’re already in the thick of it and the subject of their attention.” He commented thoughtfully, imagining poor Aerith finding herself unable to get a word in on the matter and awkwardly watching it all happen. Though he raised a brow at her comment about Cloud. “Did you? Well, that’s a nice bonus on top of the goal you hoped to achieve, I expect.” He added thoughtfully. It was actually kind of nice to know that she’d gotten to wow Cloud. Not that he expected she couldn’t have without the makeover… But it was nice to get the attention in his experience, especially if you weren’t used to it being directed your way.
That said… The disgust returned to Llewellyn’s face as Aerith explained what followed. “He what?” Gross. So gross… It wasn’t the first time he found the actions of people absolutely atrocious, but this gave him a particular flare of anger. “That’s absolutely disgusting, to treat anyone like that. No one should be allowed to get away with such behavior... And yet those in power often do.” Even one of his more recent cases had shown that… “I’m sorry you both went through all of that, Aerith.”
“Two soups and sandwiches of the day, then!” He responded, happy to get their order in for them between being hungry and knowing Aerith probably could use a proper lunch instead of snacking while she worked in the garden.

"And once they've decided they're right." She added on. That was definitely why Madam M had started in. She'd had a vision and she was never going to stop until she'd accomplished it. A mischevious glint shown in her eyes for a second. "I did. It was pretty funny, he didn't say anything at all for a few seconds. Someone could have easily wondered if they'd done something wrong with a reaction like that.
"Oh, don't worry, they didn't get away with it," she said with a satisfied smirk. "Chair to the face! Then a lot worse." Like death. They deserved it though. They definitely deserved it. "No need to say sorry, it wasn't that bad and besides, I signed up for it." She'd known what she was getting into completely, grossness and all.
"If it's not good I'm holding you responsible."

His shoulders at least settled some to hear that. “I should hope so. I’m glad they got what they had coming to them, then.” He responded with a serious nod. Llewellyn could easily imagine Aerith putting a stop to something before it got too far, and a chair was a convenient weapon. Too many underestimated someone just because they were a woman, but having worked with Dr. Ogden and Dr. Hart (among other women) for so many years now proved just how much of a mistake that was. Often times he was quite sure they needed no help at all, other than perhaps backup. If anything, they were more likely to come out on top than he was, though perhaps that was because he was so much of a pacifist that he didn’t even have it in him to raise a hand to defend himself other than to try to look intimidating enough that he might.
“I accept the responsibility of a bad meal should it come to pass, but uh- I have a good feeling about this.” He responded with a grin, knowing full well that the food here was always excellent and this was a safe bet… If he bet anymore, which he didn’t.

"Oh boy did they. I don't think they knew what hit them. At least now no other woman will be treated like that. The Don's bad but they're not much better for going along with things like that." Really, it was pretty gross that they'd been so excited to get women thrown at them. It was like they hadn't even considered them people.
"I have high expectations now!"

“People like that tend to mm… Well, they seem to come in like-minded groups, from what I can tell.” He frowned in distaste at the idea. But he was glad that Aerith and the others had put a stop to it. “I am sure the city is better off for your putting an end to such a man and his group.” At least until the next person attracted such behavior, which was perhaps a bit cynical, but there always seemed to be someone like that in his experience.
“Well, let’s put an order in and see if we can meet those high expectations. If not, then I’ll simply have to come up with something to make up for it next lunch time.” Which meant Aerith would absolutely be pestered for a proper lunch again, because not only was it nice to have company, it seemed like she needed to stop a little more for meals herself.

"I hope so. I think Wall Market could be a pretty great place without the Don and his lackeys." Everyone needed a place to go to blow off steam and just have some fun and Wall Market could be that. It already basically was that if you just ignored the Don. The problem was you couldn't just ignore the ignore him.
"We have a deal." From the way he'd talked it up she was expecting this to be a pretty satisfactory meal though.

Llewellyn tilted his head slightly. “I can well imagine. If it weren’t for that man, it sounds as though it would be a rather exciting place to wander, hm?” It sounded like a large, busy, entertainment hub if ever he heard one. Something more expansive than a basic market, which has a lot of interesting things to see. Hopefully, it had the chance to be a better place without the Don.
Grinning, a little, picked up the menus to hand to the server before they put in their orders. He turned back to her a moment later. “Now we wait. At least it seems as though the weather is easing off outside a bit.” He added, nodding to a window where the rain seemed to be lessening in severity since they entered.
