Ignis was outside in his back yard. The winds hadn't that bad today and it had gotten a little warmer outside so he took advantage of the warmth and had gone to visit some gardeners on the back of his chocobo. Now he was back and had plenty of coffee at the ready along with his diagrams, and the green notebook that Llewellyn had gifted him with full of notes.

As for his mount, the chocobo was grazing nearby with plenty of fresh greens and water. The bird was always rewarded well for carrying the royal advisor wherever he needed to go. Some would even go so far as to say it was spoiled and Ignis would never tell.

He himself was dressed in black pants and boots, and was wearing a black satin button down shirt with black laces threaded through the sleeves. In preparation to this task, he had rolled them up past his elbows. Various plants sat on the ground in ceramic pots, arranged as he planned to plant them. Taking another sip of coffee, he then put his black gloves on and had his gardening tools ready.

"I daresay this is going to take quite a bit of work today and I need to make dinner tonight, so I'd best get started."

"Sleeping is good. And I won't ask what they were fighting over since they do seem to bicker a lot when I'm there as well." Ignis just mostly tuned them out whenever they complained to him about whatever it was. He was there to shop and make sure he got his parcels where they needed to go.

Territory or complaints weren't for him.

"It's the worst bickering ever," Nida sighs, shaking his head.

"You cook while I keep working on planting from your designs?"

He nodded to Nida's words and sigh even if there was a smile on his face. It couldn't be an easy job that his husband had.

But green eyes looked up at the other and Ignis hesitated. "You're sure you want to continue this by yourself?"

"It's our home, beloved. Should I not contribute to it?" Nida asked, tilting his head. Sure, he'll stop if Ignis tells him he should rest, but until then, he likes the work.

"Alright. If you put it that way, I've no objections." Ignis replied and got up. Dusting his pants off as best he could, he smiled.

"I'll let you know when it's ready."

"Lovely," Nida says with a grin, moving forward to catch one last kiss. "And maybe if you are willing after dinner, I had an idea for something I wanted to do."

Ignis loved when Nida gave him a kiss or showed affection, and he always ate it right up. But then his curiousity got the better of him with the other's comment.

"And what did you have in mind if I may be so bold as to inquire?"

"I think I need another mark of your possession of my heart," Nida answered with a smile. He'd been thinking about it for a while.

He'd liked getting ink in Dualis. Why not try it here too?

"Another mark?" Ignis asked, curious. Well this did lead up to a conversation that he wanted to have with his husband as well, but he was definitely going to allow the man to go first so to speak.

"And what precisely did you have in mind in order to accomplish this?"

"There's a tattooist in town," Nida answered. Please don't judge him for it, Ignis. He sorta really wants this.

"Is there?" Ignis asked, wondering how he'd missed such a thing. And then he realized work ate the time he wasn't with his mate and didn't waste time in the market poking around much because he was always trying to get back to the man he'd married.

"And what design did you have in mind for this mark?"

"I've got some thoughts. A lot of them involve our name," he notes. "Over my heart."

Because he loved what he had become.

He couldn't help but smile. "That sounds rather lovely. Might I go with you?" This was curiousity, although he himself would leave things like that to Nida.

Ignis then looked at his ringed hand and then back to his husband. "In the same token if it's alright with you since you have a gem on your ring, I'm going to need to turn mine in so that I can have a line of Jade laid into it."

Obviously Jade matched his necklace that he barely ever took off except for showers. And that was why green was chosen for their wedding, along with them getting together in the green building and living together there.

"But I wanted to run it by you before I did anything, so that you didn't think I lost it or threw it away."

"I'd love that. Actually, I was hoping you'd design part of it. I want it in your hand."

The name, written in Ignis's beautiful writing. Yeah, he was down for that. Still, he's grinning.

"I'd like to see the jade there, actually. It's our connection to each other. I'd been considering jade earrings actually."

"My hand?" Ignis asked, a bit surprised by the answer. And as he looked at his husband the man was smiling mightily so this seemed like a thing that indeed should be done. Well he was more than happy to make the man he loved smile. "Well I suppose we should see it through then if you're up for it."

And he returned that smile with the chattering of the ring. "You would look rather dashing in jade earrings but yes we can go see to that together as well." That way it would be better if both of their rings had to be on hold for ..well however long it took.

"Why not. You've already written the name across my soul and my heart. Why not have it across my skin?"

He smiles. This would be for the best.

"I like these plans.

"That's a rather romantic idea." Ignis smiled. He loved that his husband was like this, because it kept his own head grounded at times when he could quite easily get lost within it. And it kept him in touch with his feelings, which he had learned to bottle for ages.

This was his way of agreeing to the proposed idea even if he wasn't quite sure how it was going to work in a practical way.

But he nodded to Nida's words. "Well looks like our rings will be getting an upgrade, and I'm looking forward to the results."

"You make me feel romantic," Nida answered. This wasn't something he was back home. But he was learning with Ignis's affection.

"I look forward to all our upgrades," Nida smiles. "Because together, we grow."

"Then I shall be happily reaping those benefits."

And then he got one of those precious smiles of his husband's. "I agree, and grow together we will."

Nida offered him a kiss and then moved to head to the garden.

"Call me when Dinner is close to ready."
