001 🌺 An Angel [Open]
Who; Inësa/Angel & YOU!
What; Cherishment Event~
Where; Around the city.
When; The month of February.
Warnings; N/A
Inësa was unfamiliar with the event but the idea of Cherishment sent a thrill of excitement down her spine. She wanted to celebrate appropriately.
It was important to learn the various celebrations of mankind and to partake in her own unique way.
Flowing threads of pale wheat-colored hair draped over her shoulders while light pink ribbons weaved through the silky strands. Braids were twisted and tied, pulling her hair away from her face while a wide collection of flowers were artistically arranged to appear as if they were flowing along each braid. Inësa picked out a light pink dress with an open back to allow her wings to stretch before adding white lace cuffs to complete her attire. Her final decision was to forego shoes and wear lace around her ankles instead. It will be cold in the air but she wasn't worried.
Inësa hoped that she looked like a real angel.
Flowers & Flying
The wind cradled her slender frame as Inësa fell into the sky. It was exhilarating to soar through the air and feel the current curl around her wings, lifting her into the clouds. The turbulent currents attempted to hinder her path but a little magic was all it took to calm the circling air.
In her hand was a small woven basket filled with various flowers and crowns that she had collected and weaved together earlier that morning. She didn't have a set plan but she hoped to spot friends and those in need of a smile. With a shift of her wings, she dropped, expanding her wings only when she was closer to the sidewalk. The wind picked up to those on the streets, carrying flower petals across the street as Inësa's bare feet landed on the sidewalk.
"Hello. This is for you." She spoke as she offered a single flower or a crown of roses to her target, a sweet innocent smile shaping her lips.
Chocolates & Cherishment
It was like May Day when she lived in the Sphere but there were more than just flowers and ribbons being sold from the vendors on the streets. There was a menagerie of gifts on display and at the centerpiece of it, all was a set of delectable chocolates.
Inesa took some time to wander through the many shops and view the various trinkets that lined the streets. She wasn't working today but she peeked into A Cut Above to see if they were busy but she hadn't been needed.
There was so much excitement buzzing in the air that she didn't know what to do with herself. She eventually found herself sitting with a box of chocolates that she'd purchased. Of course, she'd heard the rumors about the chocolate's odd effects but she assumed they were innocent. Perhaps the chocolate changed her hair color or made her eyes sparkle. It felt as if something familiar had happened in the past but her memories were too hazy to properly recall.
After tasting a sweet minty flavored truffle Inesa offered chocolates to those she saw walking by. It wasn't that she didn't like them but she didn't need to eat and these sorts of treats tasted better when they were shared and enjoyed with others.
[ooc: feel free to select any chocolate effects or do something that isn't like either of these starters or takes place while Inesa is wandering around the city. I'll roll with anything.]

He accepts the flower crown with a smile, then turns to look down at Ghost, sitting next to him. "You wouldn't happen to have one for him too?" Ghost is not normally a flower-wearing sort of wolf, but he'll do it for his second favorite human.

She looked up at Jon with a warm smile. "It looks really good with your curls." He was very handsome and the flowers only accented his features.
She rose to her feet, leaving her basket on the sidewalk. "Oh! Would you like to fly with me?" Ghost would have to stay behind. She wasn't sure if she could hold more than a single person in the air with her.
no subject
"Would that be possible?"
no subject
"Of course." Her smile grew as she turned back towards Ghost and addressed him. "Could you please watch this for me?" Inesa placed the basket of flowers in front of Ghost. "I will only take him for a little bit."
With that handled, she rose and held out her hand to Jon. "Ready?"

Jon takes her hand, wondering how this works. "Ready."

Jon would feel the soft tug of her hand but he was also being lifted by the wind that surrounded them. The magic held most of Jon's weight while Inesa guided them up and over the city.
"What do you think?" Her hair whipped around her head as she slowed their ascent and began to glide in large lazy circles above the city streets.
no subject
"It's strange, but in a good way."

Luckily, her wounds left her without a scar.
"I would be happy to take you flying any time." After a few more minutes Inesa found the highest point in the city and gently landed them on the roof. "It is beautiful, is it not?" Her hand remained in Jon's. She didn't know if either of them would slip and it'd be easier to catch him if they were in contact with each other.

"It is. I don't usually see places from this high up."

Slightly Before Flying and Flowers per the plotty post!
Plus, Rhy had to be at work early, especially with this project of his that he’d come up with for the celebration specifically. Not one to discourage his husband, Llewellyn was happy for him and supported the endeavor… But it meant he might as well be out and about earlier himself, so he rotated between time at the gullwings office, his part-time work at Aerith’s shop, and meandering around the city looking to provide (sometimes unwanted) opinions, advice, and assistance to friends or people who looked a little lost on the whole flower thing.
This morning, however, was a different kind of friend assisting. He had pulled on his new winter coat that Rhy had helped him pick out and done the detail work on (dark turquoise, with embroidered detailing in complementary colours along the trim and sleeves, scrolling around the pockets) and plopped on his grey homburg over his curls to go out. There were a couple of baskets looped on his arms, full of various blooms and flowers he’d secured for a project Inesa had mentioned to him. Llewellyn knew she probably had some already, but he was figured it wouldn’t hurt to have spares.
After all, he was glad to see his and Rhy’s dear friend again in this world… And it would almost be a reunion of one of their earliest meetings and endeavors. She was the one of the people who had encouraged his love of fussing with plants and flowers, after all.
He hurried along to their agreed meeting place, losing the odd flower as he went if he swung around a corner too sharply or a breeze blew by. It was a bit funny to look at, really. Especially when he was prone to looking a bit focused and serious when he had a task in mind.
“Morning, Inesa!” He finally said, eyes still on his baskets as he tried to figure out which one to put down first. He’d catch up in a moment and spot his winged friend properly. Which would be interesting, since he’d never even seen her wings before.

There was a small skip in her step as she opened the door to greet her dear friend. "Hello Mr. Llewellyn. It is nice to see you. I hope you did not have any trouble getting here." She liked these apartments compared to the pods they had lived in before. They were a bit bigger and easier to add little pieces of personality too. It had only been a few weeks but Inesa already had already added a few personal touches to the room including an over flowing potted plant sitting next to the window. It had small leaves but long vines that flooded in green waves onto the floor. Once Llewellyn walked further into the room he'd notice the sweet scent of mint.
In the far corner was a little pen for Lancelot who was happily hopping in circles to nibble at various pieces of lettuce that Inesa had given him.
"Please sit. Let me help you." She gently grabbed a few of the bags of flowers that he'd brought and placed them strategically on the floor. She didn't have to warn Llewellyn to keep the flowers away from Lancelot, he likely remembered the times that the little white bunny ate any plant, flower, or fabric that got to close to its pen in the past.
"Would you like some tea before we start? I made some lavender tea that I found in the market yesterday."

It was the nice thing about this world. Aside from being above sea-level, there were so many interesting opportunities that one might not have considered before.
The detective certainly hadn’t forgotten Lancelot’s proclivity for eating anything that got close to his little fuzzy face, and made sure he kept the flowers far from the pen. At least he had some experience with keeping things away from a small creature. Pretzel was always trying to chew on things he shouldn’t be.
Once everything was sorted, he found a clear spot to sit down with a curious tilt of his head at the offer. “Oh- uh, thank you, Inesa.” He wasn’t as big on tea as Rhy was, more of a coffee person, but he also had been around a lot of people who considered it rude if you said no. Plus, well, he could at least appreciate a lavender tea since Rhy had made it on more than one occasion.

"You brought so many." Her smile widened when she saw flowers that were new to her. "This is wonderful!" The tips of her fingers lightly touched as her excitement grew. "Where would you like to start? The flowers must be pruned before they can be weaved into a circlet. I wonder if we should bundle some together as well. Do you think people would like that?"
Inesa wasn't planning to sell the flowers but to give them away, so she hoped to make things that the citizens of the city would like.

He dug around in his shoulder bag for a pair of his smaller garden shears for floral arrangements that he’d gotten for work so he could help with pruning the blooms for her to weave. “Mm… I think the crocuses and a smaller bloom to compliment them, perhaps?” He commented thoughtfully, before his eyes wandered to the others for something smaller but in a complimentary colour. Her suggestion getting a small, pleased hum. “Bundling them would definitely make for a more full crown, I think? That would probably look quite lovely and stand out well.”
no subject
"Alright. Oh. What is this flower?" Inesa picked up one of the blooms and tried to identify it. It was a pale yellow color with petals that stretched out in a daisy. "I do not remember seeing it before." It was also possible that she'd seen the flower before but forgotten.
Her memory had never been very good. It was the price of immortality.

He had been rather busy the first year, trying to make sure they had what they needed as they got their feet under them and adjusted to this new world. Now this year? There would be time for more exploring, and he would be keeping an eye out for things for a garden once they found their home.
Llewellyn’s eyes darted to the bloom in question as Inesa picked it up to show him, and looked at it for a moment before he answered. “Coreopsis I believe? They look a little like a daisy, but they have a lovely shade of yellow- or sometimes pink.” And the detective would be happy to talk and tell her the names of things, even if she had forgotten. He knew what it was like to forget things, even if it was a little different.

"I wanted to create an indoor garden here but maybe we can find places to plant flowers outside too." When the weather warmed up.
Her eyes dropped back to the flower pinched between her fingers. "Oh? Do you have yellow? It would look lovely with these purple flowers." She picked up another feathery like flower, it's petal's expanding out in various random layers from its center stem. "Perhaps we could also make crowns with certain meanings? I have my notes from before." Llewellyn would likely recognize the worn thick sketchbook that was sitting on the coffee table from their time in the Sphere. She didn't have all of her belongings but she had the important items.

Flowers and Flying
And yet there was a woman alighting before her, holding out a crown of roses. Lauri-Ell stared at her in shock and awe. She'd seen people with wings before, but never ones that were so beautiful, so feathered.
"You are a wonder," she gasped in awe at the smaller woman.
Flowers and Flying
Her bare feet landed gently on the stone while her wings shifted and draped across her back like a cape. It didn't entirely move her wings out of the way of those around her but it prevented her from taking up too much space.
"My name is Inesa. It is nice to meet you." Most people didn't use flowers to meet people but Inesa wasn't like most people.
no subject
"My thanks to you, Inesa," Lauri-Ell said, blush still in place as Lauri-Ell bowed her head to the woman. "I have never seen another like you before. I have seen those with wings, but never of feather."
no subject
Inesa's left wing stretched and circled around her slender frame so that she could cradle the feathery limb in her arm. "My wings are the only part of myself that I cannot form into any shape." She was able to change her human-form with the use of magic but it was similar to putting on an uncomfortable skin tight suit. The change would tale time and it was uncomfortable until she got used to it. It was for this reason that she kept the form of the blond haired woman standing in front of Lauri-Ell now.
"What sort of wings have you seen? I would love to know." It was always exciting to learn about something new.
no subject
"Large, leathery. It is the best way the Skrull know how to fly. I think they chose that because it is simpler than the amount of work needed for feathers."
no subject
"Excuse my rudeness. I do not believe I caught your name." She hoped that she hadn't forgotten it. Her memory wasn't the best though Inesa was trying her best to improve.

She flushed at her sudden rambling. "I would love to see it sometime. Oh! And my name is Inesa. That is what people call me."
