1. Do You Wanna Build A Snow-Man?
Lauri-Ell was not adjusting well to winter. Not at all. There was so much of this snow on the ground, and it was cold, it was wet, and clearly there was no use for it all. Or so Lauri-Ell thought until she was on the way back from the forge one afternoon. There were things happening alongside the road. People gathered around mounds of the snow, shaping them into large balls and then stacking them onto each other.

"I do not understand," she said, frowning at the people working. "Surely this would just make you more cold."

2. Snowball War
Being as large as Lauri-Ell was meant that in many ways, she was an easy target, intentionally or otherwise. In this case she was so large that a snowball meant for one target could easily fly past them and instead strike the huge blue woman. In this case it hit the side of Lauri-Ell's face. The cold on her skin was jarring. Almost upsetting.

She turned her attention slowly to the person who had struck her with the projectile.

"You wish conflict between us?"

Games were not something Kree knew. So she truly didn't know what was going on.

3. Sledding Adventures
Here, at least, was something explained to Lauri-Ell before she first saw it. Sledding was no good if the runners on sleds were not sharpened to a degree, and who else would Gili have sharpen them than Gili's apprentice? And since Lauri-Ell was so large and had more tolerance to the cold, who better to deliver the things?

So it was that Lauri-Ell approached the sledding hill with a number of sleds slung over her back by their pull strings, trudging up the hill to deliver them.

"Here," she says as she puts them down. "Mistress Gili said I should bring these. And watch the event. She said the contrivances aren't for hauling goods, though. Do you know their purpose?"

Okay, maybe she hadn't understood the explanation at all.

"I would indeed enjoy more," she agrees, drinking her chocolate. Soon it's finished and she looks sad.

"Human foods are so intriguing."

"I can get more for you right now then if you want." Yuki offered. The snow was going to be cold so it would be best to warm her up if she was going to be playing in the snow as much.

"More of this chocolate would be a good thing," Lauri-Ell ageres. If she knew where, she'd get more for herself.

[areasontohope]

"I'll get it. You can come with me if you want, but I'm more than happy to get it for you." Yuki would of course be polite and go get the drink because he'd said he would. And he was more than happy to do so.

"Yes please," Lauri-Ell smiles, happy to move to follow him right away. "Snow is very nice it seems."

But very cold as well.

"The hot chocolate is this way." Yuki replied, slightly inclining his head towards the stand that he'd gotten it from. And Lauri-Ell's comment made him smile. "Snow is nice, you can visit it and go back inside when you're done with it."

It wasn't a long trip but they made it over to where the hot chocolate was. "It's free, so you can have as much as you want. I wasn't sure if you'd like it, so I got a small cup."

Obviously there were larger ones and all sorts of sizes available here.

Lauri-Ell follows the young man quite easily toward the vendor. It was going to be nice, to experience this flavor again.

"Yes, I do not believe it would be pleasant to encounter snow in one's home."

Wait, free? This didn't fit the concept of economy she had known. But she confirms with the vendor and gets the largest size, holding it in her hands before she looks to Yuki.

"Now, how do we make men of snow?"

"Yes, snow needs to definitely stay outside." Yuki smiled. Patiently he waited as Lauri-Ell got her hot chocolate and he got himself a refill while he was at it. He was happy too, to see that she'd gotten a large size beverage because she would need it while they were getting to work.

"First we need to make a decent size bit of snow. It needs to be about the size of a beach ball and then we start rolling it in more snow so that it gets bigger. That's going to be the base of the snowman. Depending on its size we add a smaller ball, and a smaller third. But you'll see what I mean."

It'd be easier when she saw the others that were out there. Yuki wasn't trying to compete for any sort of snow build. He was just trying to go slow and make sure that they made a good sized snowman for Lauri-Ell to learn about.

"I do not know what a beach ball is," Lauri-Ell answers as she moves with him. Once they are by a snow bank, she puts her cup down and looks around.

Alright. She takes some snow in her hands, and marvels over how easy it is to pack and shape.

"What strange material."

"Oh, ok. Well it's a medium shaped ball." He wasn't sure how else to describe a beach ball, but he smiled as Lauri-Ell picked some snow up and began packing it. "That's the idea. You can keep adding snow to it until it's too big and then we can roll it."

As if to illustrate his point, Yuki bent down and scooped some up after putting his hot chocolate in a safe location. Then he made quick work of the snowball and placed it on the ground, kneeling down in order to add more snow to make it bigger.

What an idea. She adds more snow to her ball, making something almost bowling ball size before she leans down and starts to roll it.

"Like this?"

Yuki nodded with a smile and gestured with his head to a pair of children now rolling a huge amount of snow up into a ball. "Yes. I'll get another ball of snow together so we can make it bigger in a smaller amount of time."

This was fun and it was nice to be there when someone who'd never played in the snow got to experience it first hand.

"Alright," she says, moving to roll her ball up larger. This was interesting. Or it was until she slipped in the snow and collapsed next to the mound of snow. Wow.

"It's cold," she says before she pushes to her feet. "That was fun."

Yuki hadn't been far, rolling his own ball and trying to think about what would be used for decoration because that was important. But as soon as he blinked, the lady was pushing herself up. And at first he'd been alarmed but she termed it 'fun.' so he went with that.

"Snow is usually cold. But do you want to get another hot chocolate before starting again?"

Yuki look at your beautiful sweet face!

"I would prefer a warm shower, but if I go to take that now, someone else might take the snow for our people," Lauri-Ell said, smiling at Yuki. Yes, she wanted to completely create her friend.

Righted she starts to make her ball again, making it quite large.

"People do this often where you are from?"

The smile was nice to see because it seemed maybe Lauri-Ell was getting into the spirit of the thing so to speak. But the words 'our people' was a little confusing. Did that mean she meant to make more than one? Well if she did Yuki was up for it, so he nodded with a small smile of his own and set to work again.

But with her question, he turned to look back at her and nodded. "Some people would make a snowman, but others might make an animal like a dog." He even saw a deer made of snow one time which was really pretty.

His and hers, clearly that is two people. Of course she might just not understand this properly. But then she has to pause.

"What is a dog and how do you make one?"

Now Yuki is pausing. "You..don't have dogs where you're from?" They had them here, he just had no ability to communicate with them unlike his cousin who wasn't here. But Shigure's curse had no doubt broken since the God spirit had told him 'and you are the last'.

Wouldn't that man be chagrined to hear this lady didn't know what a dog was..

Still, he had to try and be helpful here. "Well they have four legs and can be small or large or somewhere in between. And they tend to bark and howl."

"The Kree do not have such creatures," Lauri-Ell answered. SHe doesn't even know what one looks like. She is aware of what a cat looks like, though she doesn't know it. She just knows what Flerkin look like.

"Until you said bark and howl, I thought they were like the beast my sister kept. Four legs, orange body with stripes, but the Beast's noises were different."

That still had Yuki pausing, but he realized that was just him thinking everyone had the same things that he had in his world. So he shook his head and then listened about the orange body with stripes.

"That sounds like a tiger in my world." And of course, the Tiger of the zodiac came to mind, Kisa.

Oh, but not so big, not that she knew to say that. Just what appeared to be an orange tabby cat. Though it was very different from that.

"A tiger. It is good to know what the name of the beast my sister keeps is. She calls it Chewie."

"Chewie.." There's a small laugh at that only because he recalled the time Kisa bit Miss Honda but she tried not to show how much it hurt her. "Well they do bite unfortunately."

"Oh, biting is not somethign I worry about," she offers with a smile as she returns to working on her snowman. "It happens sometimes, in war."

He's rounding the edges of snow from the ball that he's working on, and pats more down on top of it. But that's when he gets a little confused. "Biting goes on during war?" Yuki's really not sure how one manages to do that.

"Oh, at times yes. Skrull can change to many forms. They are very good at it. So sometimes there is biting."

Because they could change to things that used teeth and claws to fight. It was not that strange. For now, though, she finished her massive bottom ball. It would be almost up to Yuki's stomach.
