INTRO ~ FIRST MEMORY
Who; Naminé & OPEN
What; Wandering around the city.
Where; Around the city.
When; Late November
Warnings; N/A
It was all explained but it didn't feel like enough. A portal from her world to this world but why had it just been her? Riku had come to get her, he'd been there with her… reaching out to take her hand. The way he had to Sora many times throughout his memories.
Naminé clutched her palms to her chest, the blue bag she'd been given dangling against her stomach as she walked. She wasn't alone here but there was so much that she didn't understand or know. Who would answer her? What kind of world was this? It wasn't like Travers Town or Radiant Garden but it was similar in many ways. Was there magic here?
The questions were consistent and overwhelming and she didn't have an answer.
More of this world and her new life here was explained to her but she still felt awkward. She wandered through the city with no destination in mind. There was so much to see but her simple white dress wasn't warm enough as fall turned to winter. She stopped in the middle of the street and looked up at the sky.
"It's so blue." She shivered. "Cold..."
Her arms wrapped around her torso as she looked for a building that might provide her some warmth. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, only that she wanted to warm up.
Bodies were so strange...

So he shuffled the brown paper bag in one arm and nodded at her. But when she looked at him he was somehow reminded of Lady LunaFreya.
Oh.
"Are you alright?" he asked, keeping his tone gentle and calm as it usually was.
no subject
"Yes. I was just exploring. Um... do you know somewhere warm I could go? I don't have a coat." She had never needed anything beyond the white dress and it was now problematic. This world was heading into winter and Naminé didn't know how to function as a human.
She had some munny but it didn't feel like a lot. She didn't want to run out and she would have to eat too.

He sighed and had made his decision. "I will bring you to the Red building where I currently reside. I can drop these groceries off, and I can take you shopping."
There was a gentle smile. "You're going to need warmer clothes than what you are wearing I'm afraid."
no subject
"Do I need munny? I have a little bit. That is, what they gave me."
Naminé pulled out the blue bag she'd been given. She didn't have pockets and didn't have a way to carry things except for the simple bag she'd been given.
no subject
"My apologies, I haven't yet introduced myself and here I am a stranger requesting your presence." He tried a smile and a slight bow with the bag in his hands.
"I am Ignis Scientia at your service. And to answer your question, no you don't need any currency, I will take care of it. You could simply call it a welcoming gift."

Naminé knew that she needed help and while she wanted to be the one to help others, she had to learn how to do that first. "It's alright. My name is Naminé. It's nice to meet you Ignis."
She wondered if he had been here long but she didn't want to flood him with questions. First, she'd follow him to where they sold clothing.

Julia had special effects so he didn't want Namine to really find out what they were. "I'll drop these bags and first thing we need to do is find you a proper coat."
no subject
Her bright blue eyes lit up a bit at the mention of cats. "Really? I would love to meet them." She was absolutely going to pet the black cat and the other if it let her.
With that said, Naminé takes her place at Ignis's side.

Nodding down at said cat, he looked back at Namine while setting things out so they could be put away before he left again. "This is Ebony and she can be overly friendly."
no subject
Ebony sniffed at her Naminé's outstretched hand before gently pressing her head and cheek against the tip of her fingers. Naminé's grin widened as she began to pet the friendly creature.
"She is beautiful."
no subject
"She likes to think so." he replied at Namine's praise. It was very sweet and unexpected and of course the cat behaved herself quite nicely. But soon everything was put away and Ignis smiled.
"Ready to go when you are Miss Namine."
no subject
"I am. Good bye Ebony." She gave the cat one last pet before rising to her feet and stepping outside the door.
Naminé waited patiently for Ignis and then followed as quickly as she could at his side. She was aware that his legs were longer than hers and she wanted to walk fast enough for him to walk normally but it was impossible. She was just too short.

The only thing he really knew about women's fashion was what he'd found out about Lady LunaFreya's gown. And it had been custom made for her of course. But there was a tailor in town and that's where they went first.
When they got in the shop, Ignis was immediately waited on by the older shopkeeper. "I'm here to make certain this young lady has everything required for a wardrobe for the winter here."
The elder shopkeeper took a look at Ignis and then at Namine for a moment before returning his gaze back to the advisor. "Have you the required amount of coin necessary for such a task?" "I have." came a steady reply. "Excellent. And in that case, my wife will be with us in a moment to take measurements. Might I have your name good sir?"
"Ignis Scientia." came the reply. The elder man looked at Namine. "And this young lady is your.." "She's my daughter." He didn't want to even go there with this man but if it would have Namine looked after and treated with respect, then he hoped she'd run with it too.
"Well well Miss Namine, please come this way." And the advisor took a breath as the man's wife appeared.

She blinked up at him when he called her his daughter. She had never had family and she didn't understand why he was calling her his daughter. Did she look like his real daughter? She'd have to ask him but not now, when they were alone. For now she'd remain silent and trust Ignis to help her. He was different but she trusted him.
"Oh. Thank you." Her voice was soft and sweet. She glanced back to Ignis and looked for a bit of encouragement before continuing to the back room with the older woman.
It wasn't difficult, Naminé just had to stand there but she was curious and as the woman began, she began to ask a series of questions. When they were finished she stepped out from the back room and looked around for Ignis.

So he smiled to Namine. "In the meantime you are going to need something warmer to wear. Do you see anything here that you like?"
He was relieved things were in order, but he still couldn't just walk back out as if she didn't need warm clothing.

With that thought in mind, she walked over to a white coat, decorated with a lacy blue design down its front. "Would this be okay?" The seamstress walked over and took the coat down for Naminé urging her to try it on and make sure it fit.
It was perfect and Naminé spun a bit, a smile on her face as she looked up at Ignis. She really liked the jacket.

So the seamstress went over and assisted Namine with getting the coat on which made him smile after her little twirl. "That looks quite lovely on you."
"I believe that will be coming home with us." he said to the seamstress. He got up and nodded. "Give me a moment to make sure we can properly take that home."
And that's when he paid for the coat and the custom made clothing that would be arriving in brown wrapped parcel paper in about four days according to the seamstress.
After thanking them for their time, he smiled at the blonde girl. "Let's go home shall we?"
no subject
The coat was cute but warm and while her legs were still bear, the woman gave her an old pair of boots that Naminé could wear until winters end. They didn't sell shoes but the older woman had a few of her own boots that she didn't wear too often and it would keep Naminés toes warm.
"And thank you Ignis." She spoke as they left the shop. "Can I make it up to you somehow? I only have the money that I was given but I can pay you back." He had already said no but that's when he'd only been buying her a jacket, this felt like too much.

Really he just wanted to help in this particular situation because helping others was important. The coin they were given was adequate in small doses but if one required an entire wardrobe it wouldn't quite cut it.
And then as they walked, there were always the children of the world here, reminding him of how much help was needed everywhere.

She smiled up at him, her fingers lacing together in front of her as she spoke. "What would you like me to draw? I can draw you or a place, if you can describe it to me."
no subject
But how to phrase the relationship. He knew what he wanted to say but it wasn't accurate so he couldn't, especially in case it got back to the man even if it might not have the adverse effect he feared it might. Better to be safe than sorry.
"The gentleman I live with is named Nida. If you can draw people, whenever you two meet, you can draw him if it's not too much trouble." It it was, Ignis would withdraw the request quick.
no subject
It might take some time but Naminé was eager.
"Is that okay?"
no subject
But he smiled at her kindness. "And I appreciate the thought."

Of course he'd spoken to them about additional pieces of clothing for her that were in the style she'd already chosen. "Take care." And he couldn't help but worry if Namine would be alright in the meantime.
