INTRO ~ FIRST MEMORY
Who; Naminé & OPEN
What; Wandering around the city.
Where; Around the city.
When; Late November
Warnings; N/A
It was all explained but it didn't feel like enough. A portal from her world to this world but why had it just been her? Riku had come to get her, he'd been there with her… reaching out to take her hand. The way he had to Sora many times throughout his memories.
Naminé clutched her palms to her chest, the blue bag she'd been given dangling against her stomach as she walked. She wasn't alone here but there was so much that she didn't understand or know. Who would answer her? What kind of world was this? It wasn't like Travers Town or Radiant Garden but it was similar in many ways. Was there magic here?
The questions were consistent and overwhelming and she didn't have an answer.
More of this world and her new life here was explained to her but she still felt awkward. She wandered through the city with no destination in mind. There was so much to see but her simple white dress wasn't warm enough as fall turned to winter. She stopped in the middle of the street and looked up at the sky.
"It's so blue." She shivered. "Cold..."
Her arms wrapped around her torso as she looked for a building that might provide her some warmth. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, only that she wanted to warm up.
Bodies were so strange...

Bodies were so strange...

She gestured ahead towards the tavern they were approaching. "There it is!"
no subject
Naminé followed her new friend into the tavern and smiled at the thick warm smiles that wafted through the warm space. "I hope that makes sense. I don't know all of the reasons but the scientists do. They were the ones who gave me this body."
no subject
Arkady waved and ordered two ciders and then moved over to sit down at a table. Her nose scrunched up at the mention of scientists. "Why did they give you the body?"
no subject
"The body I had then was borrowed. It was the body of a girl who's heart was stolen. Luckily her heart was safe but once it returned to her... I shouldn't have existed anymore. For some reason I did. I was a part of her but also separate. Because her heart was pure, I was born, but I had to return to her." And it was then that she lost herself and rejoined Kairi.
"It was only later that my essence was separated from Kairi again. It was strange but I suppose over time, we somehow became two separate people with different memories." She paused and lowered her head. "I'm not sure I understand all of it..." Naminé wasn't sure if she was making sense.
no subject
"How does a heart get stolen?" She took a sip from her drink and tilted her head. "It sounds super complicated. Does that mean you were the same as Kairi or were you always you born from her?" Was she asking too many questions? Curiosity couldn't really be helped.
no subject
"I don't know for sure." Naminé followed Arkady's lead and took a sip of her own drink. "There is darkness in everyone's heart and when that darkness grows too strong, the heart is turned into a shadow, a heartless. The light is gone. It was thought that the light and those hearts were hidden behind a door to another world."
She shook her head again. "I wasn't born until Kairi's heart had been taken from her but there was no darkness. No heartless was made but I was. Every time a heartless is create, there is a husk created as well. A shell of the body without the heart." Technically, Naminé was only a few years old though she had the body of someone in their late teens.
"It is confusing." Though it didn't seem like Naminé minded all the questions.

She listened to Naminé's explanation and took another few sips of her drink. There was definitely no denying that the explanation was strange and confusing. "The darkness sounds kinda scary. Your world definitely sounds like it has a lot of rules. Convoluted ones."
A shell of a body without a heart. That was very strange to hear about. "You seem like you though. Like you definitely have a heart and everything!"
