[ The voice that starts to speak has a fairly apparent Russian accent and tone that betrays just how tired she is. ]

I know an entity like this bear our Captain spoke of. [ There's a hint of sarcasm her tone with the word Captain. Illyana never has been fond of showing respect to people she has none for. ] The Demon Bear is a nightmare entity that my [ she pauses awkwardly for a second ]...friends and I defeated long ago. I suppose a demon is rarely truly defeated though. They always return to be irritating. [ Unless you wipe them from all reality. Then they stay gone. Would have been a useful thing to know all those years ago. ]

This entity is not exactly the same but it is similar enough. The Demon Bear gains it's power from negative emotions. It feeds off them, implanting terror inside the minds of it's victims. It has no goal aside from the corruption of human souls. It is powerful and most importantly cunning. To it we are nothing more than food to be harvested.

[ She pauses for a second. ] Be careful in your sleep, that was where he was strongest.[ Her tone has a strange edge to it. ] I would suggest not sleeping. It will become more difficult to wake the longer he is inside your dreams.

If no other way is found, I am not opposed to taking it on myself. [ But recent events have made her more aware that just jumping into her own plans can sometimes work out poorly. ] I wish I knew more about it. The most I can figure out is that it appears to be some sort of copy.

Taking such a creature on by yourself, regardless of how powerful you are, would not be a wise course of action.

[Says the guy who would do such a thing..]

Why would you say that?

[Maybe he was being unfair here, and he realized he was being hypocritical. But thinking of a boy who's quest it was to save their world from darkness, he wouldn't want the Luminary to face the perils of that alone.]

Because you cannot know what sort of toll the battle will take. Should something happen to you, someone else should be there to make certain you will recover.

[That gave him pause.]

Do you not have such companions here?

[soulsword]

I have died before. I do not fear it, there are much worse things than dying. [ And she felt as though she had lived through most of those worse things. ]

No, not here. My companions are home.

[This has the knight pause and frown. He'd seen what he'd thought was the Luminary dying. The Lord of Shadows had ripped something out of the boy and left him for dead before laying waste to the World Tree. It had been horrible, but the boy had indeed lived. So finally Hendrik nodded. Death was easy but not having fulfilled an oath or something along those lines would be infinitely worse.]

I am sorry, I did not realize.

[Not that he could, but still he feels bad. But as far as the companions go..]

If you are here, a chance still stands that they may appear.

I have no need for sympathy. I remember very little of how it happened. [ It was a very long time ago after all and not even truly her. That was complicated though. Far too complicated to explain to most people. ]

I am not certain if them being here would be good. [ Though she does miss them more than she knows how to admit. ]

[He's really not sure what to say for long moments but then he nodded. He did realize that if Jasper showed up or the Lord of Shadows, those types from his own world would be detrimental. But he would face them alone if they did make their appearance.]

I understand. But we will need to find another way to defeat this foe.

Do you have experience with foes?

I have seen my share of battle. And it is a never ending thing.

What sort of battle have you experienced?

There were dark times back home. The Dark One returned, with his forces scattered everywhere. So far too many battles were fought due to this,
