It had been over a year and a few months. So Yuki took the bracelet that he'd worn mostly before the beginning of last January and walked to the jewelry store. He didn't ask for anything, but gave the yin yang bracelet to the lady behind the counter as well as the engagement ring that Jacob had given him. Yuki had pondered for a long time about selling the house too or simply just abandoning it.

A lady a few weeks before had shown interest in Shigure, so he let the dog go since the lady had other dogs that he could play with. Haru was always at the chocobo stables and had found a mate there. But Yuki would take him out if needed. Other than that, he simply always paid for the blue chocobo's upkeep.

But at hearing steps approach, Yuki tucked away his ponderings and smiled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there."

It wasn't often that Lauri-Ell came here to the jewelry store herself. It was not her skill set and she did not wear pieces on her own. But there was the gems, and those were sometimes needed to complete projects.

So she had come here to see Yuki handing some things over, and she frowned as she came to a stop behind him.

"You are selling something dear to you."

He hadn't expected anyone he knew to be there, but here Lauri-Ell was. Why she was there Yuki had no idea and wasn't about to nose into her business. But he just smiled even if a part of him had felt gone for awhile now and he was just sort of making it all official in more physical reality than just with the man's presence being gone over a year.

"It's more like just giving things away that I don't need anymore."

Hmmm, was it? Giving away things that aren't needed. Alright then. She opens her arms.

"I have a hug I do not need. Please allow me to give it away to you."

[At first he was pretty confused by Lauri-Ell's gesture. But then he realized what she was attempting to do and he smiled. So he moved into her arms a little awkwardly and let himself be hugged.]

[Well, hugs are good. They give comfort. Lauri-Ell holds him tightly and rubs his back. This seems to be the best hugging method.]

[It'd been awhile since he'd had a hug like this. Jacob had always been good at them and that thought made him pull back even if he had enjoyed the small back rub. So Yuki smiled at his friend.]

[Lauri-Ell smiles and nods.]

I am sorry for having interrupted your business here.

[Yuki shook his head with a smile.]

It's fine. You didn't interrupt anything.

You are surely here to do business. That is what I interrupted, is it not?

It's fine. I was already done.

[Hug was unexpected but it was nice anyhow even if the shopkeeper saw it.]

[Ah. Well then...]

I have some business here then.

[Because... Well, she thought she might now buy whatever he pawned. That way she could hold them for her friend in case he should ever have cause to need them again.]

[He nodded.]

[Lauri-Ell offers a somber nod.]
