Meet the grumpy lion Leon was out clearing the sidewalks. Ice made people slip and as far as he knew, there weren't a lot of healers here and potions weren't plentiful. So this meant that he was trying to avoid people falling near the headquarters.

He had a long list in his hands of things that he needed to do and a Fire spell would release from his hands from time to time. He'd also put a tree up by the HQ and lined it with candy canes and the usual tree trimming stuff. Of course the candy canes would be gone in the morning and Leon would grumblingly replenish them. But at hearing a voice, he looked up and eyed the newcomer.

"No, I'm not making a list and checking it twice."

Think you can handle this many?

It started with four. Leon summed his gunblade and made quick work of the metal pests. Then a few more showed up and a few Fireballs took care of those. He slashed his way through the next set with his gunblade, and only had a moment to look behind him at the newcomer.

"Better stay back or these things might get a hold of you."

"A list? What sort of list would you be making? And it is always wise to check one twice, especially if it's for shopping," Rhy notes.

He'd just been passing by, he hadn't even meant to draw the attention of the other man. He was just looking with longing at the candy canes. He could really use the peppermint and sugar boost.

Leon looked up from his list and gave Rhy an odd look before nodding. "Sounds like you've heard of Santa Claus."

Then there was an amused look on his face. "Sora told me he got around."

"My husband has mentioned a winter tradition involving such a figure," Rhy says. But it didn't make a lot of sense to him. Why would people believe someone had nothing better to do than to bring gifts to children? Accept that it is the kindness of their parents doing such things. It makes more sense.

"So you've heard of him." Leon replied, after Rhy gave him an answer. Well there was no sense in standing on ceremony here.

Canting his head to the side, he smiled ever so slightly. "I'm making something of a list to help a guy out with his kids who run a mail courier service. Especially being the holiday and all."

But he moved and looked at Rhy. "What brings you out around these parts?"

"Yes, but I cannot say I know much of it. But that is very kind of you, helping... Well, that would be Minimoff Deliveries I would assume. Young Mono there is a friend of mine. It is good to see some adults attempting to help that young man."

Because so far as Rhy can tell there aren't a lot trying to help young Thomas keep things going well.

"Mere chance brings me by if I am honest. The road by here leads toward the Gullwings where my husband and our dog work, so I was taking a leisurely stroll to see them."

Leon nodded to the other man's assumption as to who he was helping. Thankfully Aerith hadn't been asked to help out. Nida was another that he would silently count on his team but he figured the guy was so busy doing a million other things. Same with Tommy, so for now Leon worked alone.

Still, he couldn't just sit by and do nothing for other people because that wasn't the way that he worked, especially Tommy.

But once he heard where Rhy was headed, he nodded. "If you're on your way to see them, I've got something for you to bring over, if you don't mind."

"Of course I don't mind," Rhy says with a smile. "Provided it isn't too weighty of a thing."

PErhaps he is solidly built, but his arms aren't as strong as they might look.

He nodded. "Appreciate it. But it's really just a basket of things for them to eat over there. It's not heavy."

"Ah, that I should be able to handle," Rhy says with a smile. "Please allow me to help then."

There was another nod and he inclined his head towards the door. "Let's get inside, it's warmer."

And it was where the food was.

Warmer makes sense. Rhy offers a nod before following inside. He doesn't intend to go first. That is always unwise.

Leon had waited, but the man didn't move so he went in first and headed over to the table where there were a few full baskets.

"I had a few made up, but in payment for the errand, take one home."

"Really?" Rhy says, quite shocked. He had not expected such a thing. "Are you certain?"

Leon nodded. "I don't expect anyone to do something for nothing. And someone who does something nice should get something in return."

[unbreakable_king]

"You are a charmer," Rhy laughs as he lifts a pair of baskets. "But I do not really find it necessary. I have been blessed in life with a good deal of excess."

[heartofalion]

Charmer? He should ask Tommy if he thought the same.

"It's up to you, but again I don't expect something for nothing."

[unbreakable_king]

"Well I'm offering it anyway," Rhy says, taking another pair of baskets. "So I can carry more."

[heartofalion]

He smiled. "Alright, but if there's something you need from me in the future, don't hesitate to ask."

[unbreakable_king]

"Agreed," Rhy says with a smile as he loads another set of baskets onto his arms.

"I'll be going on then, shall I?"

[heartofalion]

Leon nodded.

"That's fine, but if you need anything let me know."

Rhy offers a nod and a brief bow before heading back out. He's got a way to go with some weight to it now.
