[The camera turns on and Terra is holding a string of lights in front of his new place that's all fixed up. A cup of something hot is steaming in a cup not too far from him, but he's busy and focused on the multicoloured lights. Looking at the lights, it seems as if he's counting something, but then he shakes his head.
Noticing the camera on at that moment, he then nods at it.]
I'm..not the only one hanging lights here, right?

[ Despite the odd bit of bickering over what movie to watch, it was nice. A quiet evening letting his students have some fun and actually be their own age, even if some of them don’t quite know how. It was an odd tradition, perhaps, but it was theirs. ]
And back when I’d do the full Christmas tradition, my family would cook for me… Although I helped a bit when I was with the Mackenzie’s, I was older then, and they seemed to like having someone to be a part of it and teach things… I know they wanted to do a lot of things with their real grandchildren, so I guess I sort of filled in.
[ Was the least he could do after pretending to be their real grandson, especially after Glenn figured it out and still treated him like they were family… And, well… Martha never really seemed to figure it out either way. And it meant he learned a few things along the way, between that and what he learned during his travels it meant he did at least know how to cook… Not that most people knew that, since he let Gray cook for him where she seemed to need things to do and he was awkwardly trying to help the poor kid feel more comfortable after having to leave her home behind.
The shared traditions on Terra’s side get a thoughtful tilt of his head. ]
So fairly similar, then. Although I’ve never heard of Galactic Pound Cake?

Movies were kinda new in another town, pretty far from where I lived. But the theatre was located right near a restaurant owned by the same guy. I was going to go there, but ended up here. So that's pretty neat that you could do that right in your own house.
[Hearing about the traditions made Terra wish he, Aqua and Ven could've had traditions like those of Waver. He supposed if he recalled this conversation, that he could start them with them if they wanted. But of course, that was going to have to wait. For the last part, he nodded.]
One of the cookbooks I got last year at the Winter Festival had something like it, called pound cake. I haven't tried to make it yet though.

It was quite convenient, especially for our small group. Though public theaters have their own charm, I suppose. Haven’t really looked at the one here, but I’ve heard people enjoy it.
[ He hoped Terra still had a chance when he went back, though. To go with people he cared about, memories like that were important. ]
The Winter Festival? Hm… I’m afraid I missed that. [ Unfortunately that meant he only knew of it in passing. He did hear it spoken well of, though. ] Ah, well, if the recipe is similar, then you should enjoy it. A slice of regular pound cake is always nice with some tea.

[He just kind of figured that every one had, considering that there was a theater here too, he just hadn't really had or taken the time to go investigate it. But he was somehow surprised the mage had missed the Winter Festival.]
Tea..that's something I'm not really good at making.

[ Waver had once in a while when he was quite a bit younger, but these days he was a little too busy. Plus, with the home projector, he could enjoy them without a lot of the crowds and fuss with people he cared about. ]
I see, have you not had someone show you, or is it a general inability to make a cup you like?
[ Admittedly, Waver hadn’t had much time to make tea before arriving here… Again, too soft internally, and let Gray think he needed someone to do it for him. But with some prodding from someone here, he finally had the nudge needed to start doing the little things again. That aside, Waver had learned from someone to traditionally make tea with a gaiwan while travelling after he left Fuyuki. He had eventually decided on a teapot, though, for himself. In his opinion, anyone could learn, especially if they started with a simple method. ]

[He started to think about visiting the one here when Waver's voice caught his attention regarding tea.]
I generally make it too dark or at least my friends used to say so. So whenever I want some tea, I go to the cafe run by Haru.
[Which he admittedly liked her company because she was always so friendly, and reminded him of Ven.]

Ah, I know Haru and her café rather well. She actually assisted me in procuring my tea set here a while back.
[ The man needed nudges now and again. ]
And she makes an excellent version of a tea latte I enjoy from time to time, it’s a very nice place to stop in to.
[ And familiar, Waver had sorely missed the café near his flat on Druid Street… So it was a nice substitute while here to work into his daily routine. ]

[True he didn't live with anyone so it wasn't necessary, but he did like them and did want one. He just hadn't gotten around to actually getting one. However, the one word that the mage said had his attention.]
What's a tea latte?

[ He agreed, and would say that if living with anyone or having company was a requirement for a tea set, then he probably shouldn’t have one himself… But he did, and admittedly now that he had one it was a nice addition to try to make time for. The question is met with a small, curious tilt of his head. ]
You haven’t had one? Well, tea lattes are equal parts tea and steamed milk. My preferred is an earl grey latte, sometimes with lavender. There are a lot of variations, chai lattes, matcha lattes and so on.

I'll have to see what Haru has. I'm sure she'll know about it.

I’m sure she would enjoy that. She’s quite knowledgeable on the subject.

[It seemed a good time to get going so that he didn't pester the other man.]

[ He offered a nod, and shut off the feed, intending to get back to his afternoon as well. ]
