Hey all. Just checking in. Things have been busy with deliveries and finishing up our renovations before the winter comes about, but I've got to ask.

Who all has received a weird package lately? A box with dirt or something. Do you know who delivered it to you? Are you messing around with it or rightfully throwing it out? Let me know. I'm investigating a bit. I guess. It's probably not a bad thing going on. Maybe. Let's hope not.

Sometimes you had to go out for lunch, and not to the other place where you work. Face it, Tommy had issues with going to the Lodge for meals because he always wanted to start cleaning and busing tables or helping in the kitchen when he was there. Clearly he'd just gotten used to working there and the way that it made him feel like he was doing good.

So sometimes lunch was just a nice slice of roast, some good vegetables, a nice hunk of bread, and whatever was on the drink menu at the Market Tavern. Which was pretty nice too. The cooking wasn't up to Ignis's levels, but it was filling enough when you ordered double, and the drinks were actually pretty impressive. And this fall?

Tommy grinned as he finished his pint of the ale and summoned another one. Because, yeah, so great. He felt so bright and excited.

"This stuff is so good. You know, back home this is the season they start putting this into coffee and lattes and all sorts of food and drink. Call me a basic bitch, but I love Pumpkin Spice season. Have you tried this? You should. Let me get you one."

Well, I'm about to grab lunch.

Save us a table, I'm on my way there.

You know I will, right? I won't hesitate to save this table. I'm a hero. Saving is what I do. Don't fail me man.

A hero huh? In that case, I'll be there in about ten minutes hero.

I'll be looking forward to it, Bunbun.

You're never going to let that one go are you?

[doubled_speed]

Not until I've got something better.

[heartofalion]

We'll have to see about that one then. I'm almost there.

[doubled_speed]

Hurry up. I might drink all the good stuff without you.

Like hell you will, I'm almost to the damn door.

Oh noooooo this delicious drink, I might need to down it!

[heartofalion]

[Leon scowled and reminded himself not to throw the door open. A quick scan of the room showed him where Tommy was, and he shook his head.]

You saved some for me, right?

[doubled_speed]

Oh! There he is.

[Tommy grins, smile wide and joyful because the guy was there. Leon was there.]

BUNBUN!

[He wasn't sure what to make of that joyful face, but those thoughts shut down quick when he could feel eyes staring at him as Tommy made his little 'announcement.']

You need to come up with something else.

But I like it. Bunbun is who you are. Or do you want me to call you Sweetcheeks? You've got some.

[heartofalion]

[Leon really wasn't sure how to answer that.]

No.

[doubled_speed]

[It earns a smile from Tommy as he sips his drink.]

Well then, Bunbun, pull up some chair and enjoy lunch with me.

[heartofalion]

[There was a half hearted scowl, but Leon did as Tommy said.]

Thought you were drinking, unless that counts as lunch.

I've got my spice. Gonna have another. But I figured I'd wait to order another one. And hte food, of course.

[heartofalion]

[He nodded.]

Let's get some food then.

[doubled_speed]

Food sounds like a great thing.

[He grins and gets to his feet.]

What do you want? I can get you anything.

[heartofalion]

[Leon held his tongue and shook his head.]

Surprise me with something that you like.

[Secretly, this was his way of telling Tommy that he trusted his judgement.]

[doubled_speed]

[Tommy grins and he's away in a flash. Shortly after he's back, putting a mug of pumpkin spice ale in front of Leon, along with another one for himself.]

They're going to come over with some chicken dish soon. This is what's really worth it though. Tastes like happiness.
