[The video turns on and Yuki is seen with his back to quite a few clutches of tomatoes in baskets and there are more than a few bushels of strawberries as well. Shigure is heard barking somewhere nearby after a moment or two of silence. And that makes Yuki speak up.]

I seem to have a lot of these tomatoes and strawberries this year. I guess I didn't realize that I had planted that many. So I have plenty to give away if anyone needs them.

It's maddening. But also, they can't entirely avoid it.

[Yuki sighed.]

No not entirely I suppose. Groceries aren't going to just show up at someone's door or anything like that.

Actually, there was talk about food services like that back home once. But yeah, not really going to happen.

[His head lifted as he briefly looked sensei in the eyes.]

I don't see why something like that couldn't be done here though.

I mean, first you'd have to make sure everyone has the concept of digital money I suppose.

[That had him nod.]

We had something like that back home called credit cards.

[skyward_eyes]

Credit cards. We had something like that in the city I was in before this. But I never had them back home.

[Yuki shook his head.]

People I knew had them. Or, rather their parents did.

Those would be nicer than having to carry around gil.

[areasontohope]

Gil..that's like coins then?

[He's guessing from other conversations.]

Not quite. It was bills. But it was definitely our currency.

[areasontohope]

Bills..made of paper?

[He was familiar with that.]

Yes. Lighter than coins, so you could carry a lot with little effort.

[areasontohope]

[Yuki nodded to that.]

I know of those, it's sounds similar to what we use back home, paper and coins.

[skyward_eyes]

Oh. That means we've got some connections there then!

[areasontohope]

[His face brightened as that was comforting.]

And here I didn't really think there were any other than fighting and all of that.

There are more than you'd think.

[areasontohope]

[Yuki smiled somewhat shyly and lowered his head.]

I hope you're right.

[skyward_eyes]

[Nida laughs and nods. Yeah, he knows that feeling]
