Good news all! I finally got the little lovelies that are going to be living with Llewellyn and Pretzel and myself. Here, let me see if I can get them to pay attention for a picture.

[And yes, he's definitely included an image of not one or two, but three baby bunnies]

Sweetpie is the white one, Sugarbeet is the dark one, and Flopsy is the slightly gray one. The breeder had all three and my research said that it was better to have at least two for company but then I'd have to have left one behind and I just couldn't!

Look at them. Aren't they the sweetest little ones? Look at their faces!

They are SO SOFT. You should pet them. I'm supposed to help them acclimatize to being handled so that when they are older I can collect their fur for yarn. Who wants to pet the babies?

Okay, that sounds like a good idea. What kinda stuff do they eat other than grass and leaves?

Vegetables and greens. I hear they like carrots, but there are enough sugars in carrots that they can't have them often. So we're going to try things in small amounts.

I doubt it would be, but I didn't really research much further.

[Rhy raises his eyebrow.]

I have rabbit for dinner rather often.

I suppose I should. I didn't think to. Oh dear.

Then we’ll add that to our to-do list! After we make sure the bunnies and settled and comfortable, of course.

Really? I guess that kinda makes sense. People tell me I shouldn’t eat too many cookies and apple turnovers ‘cause of the sugar too.

I guess too much sugar is bad for people like it’s bad for rabbits? Even if you brush your teeth!

[ It’s horrid, Rhy! The boy isn’t a fussy eater, but it is disappointing that one of his newest favourite is not something you should eat in great quantities! ]

Only if people don't balance their diets and get exercise. You can probably do more sugar than most people.

[ He smiled to himself, hanging up and letting Rhy get to his little bunnies to transfer while they made their way back down the road to the house. ]

Now you should be quite tired out, but remember how well you behaved around your last bunny friend. These will be quite small by comparison, bud.

[ Ah, he never really did shake the habit of talking to Pretzel… But the little hound wagged his tail and kept trotting along, so the detective still maintained that it wasn’t an entire waste. Getting to the gate around the house, he kept Pretzel on his leash for now and unhooked the door to get to the yard. Llewellyn glanced around, not wanting to let Pretzel explore until he knew his husband had the rabbits in their hutch. ]

We’re back, Rhy- [ And Pretzel, of course, barked some greetings as well. ] If he didn’t hear me, he definitely uh- heard you.

I do get lots of exercise since I’m used to running around a lot all over the place…! So I guess I could probably eat more sugar than some. I should try telling people that next time.

[ He likes Rhy’s thinking. He just needs to remind people he already exercises a lot and still eats his veggies! ]

[Rhy's of course standing by the hutch, offering some leafy greens through the grating to encourage the little ones closer.]

Afternoon, Love. Looks like they’re settled in happily.

[ He greeted, eyes wandering to the hutch and taking in the rather cute sight of three bunnies inside that his husband was trying to entice closer to the grate. ]

That’s an uh- good plan. I’m keeping him on his leash so he can’t run around too much and get excited, but he seems tuckered out from the walk, anyway.

[ The detective stops next to his husband, keeping Pretzel close as he takes a seat in the grass. ]

Do you want him in your lap or shall I keep him with me?
