Back in November, Ignis petitioned Halcyn for a Winter Festival. He requested snow, lots of lights, and an in ground hot tub or two or more.

Train/moogles/horses - There's also a small train to go ride around the city, and horses will again appear for sleigh rides. Moogles will be appearing/on hand to give directions to where things are if people get lost. They are also serving as sources of information in case someone doesn't know anything about a festival or activity. Just ask the moogle kupo!

Food/shopping - Ignis also learned of and requested that European style christmas markets (including Japanese ones) so all of the foods for those countries and all of the things/traditions that they are associated with will be available. Whatever country has what, feel free to learn about it, or whatever different world. Recipe books will be available for whatever place too so pick one up while you can because you might want to learn to cook it for yourself! (Sorry folks, Remy not included) Enjoy all the shopping and fooding even if you've never heard of that place, world or food before. So eat, drink and be merry!

Activities/things to do - Skiing, sledding, skating and tobogganing will be available and if you're really tough, maybe archery hunting in skis may appeal. Riding on a ski lift can be a relaxing thing to do as well. Snowboarding is available as well, but a few words of caution on that. There may be sledding moogles as you go, lots of trees to run into, balloons, and if you hit an igloo, there may be an angry moogle that throws a table at you. There are also snow chocobos and snow moogles along that path.

For those not so daring to go snowboarding, the snow moogles and snow chocobos will be around town in different spots so that they're not missed. And while they won't throw snowballs at you, your friends just might! And you can ride a horse to go see a model of a royal library. A word of caution however, as there may be monsters even if they're mostly slimecicles. There may be some Luminous Lamplings or Bongo Fandangos lurking about too.


Other activities/happenings - There will also be events and things for the Chinese New Year, such as lion dances, all sorts of traditional foods, decorations, fire works, firecrackers and kids might get red envelopes. Since it is now the Year of the Rabbit, adorable rabbit decorations of all sorts are everywhere. On the last day of this Winter event will be the Lantern Festival.

Something else to note - If you're feeling adventurous there's a place or two to get married! The Hunting Lodge is always open so you could married there too! Take a walk through some Christmas illuminations for romance, or just because they're pretty.

Other notes - People from home will appear this week too as it's a fourth wall event, so be on the lookout for them! And if all of this stuff doesn't work, feel free to choose your own wintry adventure!

"It was a beautiful ceremony, at the Lodge he owns. And yes he does. Don't you go running away too soon though. I..."

He smiles and shakes his head.

"I want to make sure his brother doesn't completely disapprove of me. And in answer to the when, a year and two months, more or less."

Noctis was torn. While of course he wanted to see Ignis and talk to him, especially about these new and very unexpected developments, he wondered. Ignis had always been someone he could rely on, but how was that going to stand up to someone that had his heart? Maybe his advisor would be torn or try to continue to live up to an oath he made as a six year old and that had Noctis feel guilty. He wouldn't want the other to deviate from his marital vows and that thought had his shoulders lowered.

Maybe he should stay away.

So he looked at Nida and nodded. "If he chose you, Iggy has good taste. So if you've make him happy, then there's no disapproval from me."

Nida had every intention of taking the king to his advisor once they had spoken. His desire to see the joy in his husband's eyes was powerful, but for now, he needed this moment.

Of course, Noctis had no idea that Nida had always internally sworn that he would serve the King his husband devoted himself to, but he didn't need to.

"I don't know if he has good taste, but he's patient and loving. And it's been great. Still, I want you to hear about him before we go see him. He'd never forgive either of us if you didn't."

Noctis couldn't help but smile. "Good thing to know that another world hasn't changed him. Not like I expected it to or anything." Ignis was always going to be who he was, and the king was thrilled the man had settled down and found his own happiness. It had to be better than being the owner of a seafood restaurant because it was less lonely.

The last bit had him laughing but he knew Nida was right even if a part of him thought it might be better to just not say anything.

"Oh, he has probably changed some," Nida said with a laugh. "He runs a restaurant now. Hyne the joy he had when he gained it was... Oh if you had only seen his happiness."

It was sad that Ignis hadn't been able to share that with Noctis.

Noctis smiled, still happy for Iggy and this unknown guy. It was really great and of course bittersweet to hear that his advisor was happy. But Six knew the man deserved it after all he'd done.

"So he keeps busy, right?"

That hadn't changed if that was true.

Oh boy does Nida have to laugh at that. Because how could the man even ask?

"If he didn't, he'd be dead."

That got Noctis to laugh. "Good point." It was good to hear of this new marital side, the man deserved it. And it seemed like he had a good partner to share this new life with.

"Don't need Iggy dying on us."

"I would no more allow that than he would allow it of you," Nida said with a smile. "Come on, why don't we go see him?"

Noctis hesitated. "Uh, why don't we look for that library first?" It wasn't like him to deny to see Iggy, a boy he'd known since he was about four and a half. He just wasn't sure of a lot of things regarding this whole situation.

Plus he would have a talking piece if he had a stargazing book.

"I suppose it's inside," Nida says. "Which you can get into quickly with those powers of yours."

And Nida would have to scramble back down at a slower rate.
