Back in November, Ignis petitioned Halcyn for a Winter Festival. He requested snow, lots of lights, and an in ground hot tub or two or more.

Train/moogles/horses - There's also a small train to go ride around the city, and horses will again appear for sleigh rides. Moogles will be appearing/on hand to give directions to where things are if people get lost. They are also serving as sources of information in case someone doesn't know anything about a festival or activity. Just ask the moogle kupo!

Food/shopping - Ignis also learned of and requested that European style christmas markets (including Japanese ones) so all of the foods for those countries and all of the things/traditions that they are associated with will be available. Whatever country has what, feel free to learn about it, or whatever different world. Recipe books will be available for whatever place too so pick one up while you can because you might want to learn to cook it for yourself! (Sorry folks, Remy not included) Enjoy all the shopping and fooding even if you've never heard of that place, world or food before. So eat, drink and be merry!

Activities/things to do - Skiing, sledding, skating and tobogganing will be available and if you're really tough, maybe archery hunting in skis may appeal. Riding on a ski lift can be a relaxing thing to do as well. Snowboarding is available as well, but a few words of caution on that. There may be sledding moogles as you go, lots of trees to run into, balloons, and if you hit an igloo, there may be an angry moogle that throws a table at you. There are also snow chocobos and snow moogles along that path.

For those not so daring to go snowboarding, the snow moogles and snow chocobos will be around town in different spots so that they're not missed. And while they won't throw snowballs at you, your friends just might! And you can ride a horse to go see a model of a royal library. A word of caution however, as there may be monsters even if they're mostly slimecicles. There may be some Luminous Lamplings or Bongo Fandangos lurking about too.

Other activities/happenings - There will also be events and things for the Chinese New Year, such as lion dances, all sorts of traditional foods, decorations, fire works, firecrackers and kids might get red envelopes. Since it is now the Year of the Rabbit, adorable rabbit decorations of all sorts are everywhere. On the last day of this Winter event will be the Lantern Festival.

Something else to note - If you're feeling adventurous there's a place or two to get married! The Hunting Lodge is always open so you could married there too! Take a walk through some Christmas illuminations for romance, or just because they're pretty.

Other notes - People from home will appear this week too as it's a fourth wall event, so be on the lookout for them! And if all of this stuff doesn't work, feel free to choose your own wintry adventure!

Angeal smirked. "Just try to remember to get real food too while you're at it."

Ravenous pup meets food, no doubt the others' plates would be piled high with all sorts of treats.

"Of course," Zack says. Clearly the food here is REAL. Even if it's not HEALTHY.

"You want some sweets too?"

Angeal shook his head. "The more of those I eat, the longer I have to jog with the four legged pup." And even if that Zack would love to run for hours and hours, Angeal had other places he needed to be.

"I'm getting up soon."

Zack rolls his eyes. He'd say that Angeal had more mako in his system to compensate, but Zack isn't sure of that anymore.

"Getting up for where?"

Angeal sighed and stood up. "Getting up to accompany you. I figured you'd want first dibs on things, but that isn't going to be the case here."

Oh, well, Zack grins to hear that he's getting company. "Damn right, follow along!"

Angeal couldn't help but chuckle as he stood.

"Lead the way, Soldier."

Zack smiled wider and bounced to his feet, moving ahead of Angeal.

The thing was, he was sorta surprised he was being like this. It was almost like, with Angeal around and alive and not asking Zack to hurt him, he had some of that bright, innocent energy of his teens back. It was weird.

Angeal watched Zack and just kept the other man in his sights. No doubt the other was going to eat pretty unhealthy, but that would let Angeal see healthier choices. A sugary snack or two wasn't out of the question however.

"When was the last time you ate?"

Hey, what was the point of their metabolisms if they didn't have tons of sweets? Duh?

"Uh, dinner last night? It was so exciting this morning I couldn't just not come out."

"Too curious of a pup still I see." Angeal teased affectionately. Really this was going to be fun he supposed. While he still held plenty of guilt in his heart for the way that things had gone down back home, at least here it seemed there was almost some semblance of the way things used to be.

And for that Angeal was nothing but grateful.

Wow, not curious.

"Man, I rarely saw snow and celebration of it. I'm a tropics boy, remember?"

Then again, so was Angeal, right?

"Me too, but that doesn't give you any reason not to try foods and things here." he replied with a nod. Snow and cold reminded him of Modeoheim and the bath house and the rain. But with Zack here he was pushing those thoughts and memories out of the forefront of his mind.

No, Zack didn't want to think about Modeoheim at all thanks. Or the rain. He's just going to not have those thoughts in the slightest. Better that way.

"I mean, you're not wrong. But how often am I going to get sweets?"

I don't doubt you'd find a way to get them. I'm sure you'll find room.

[Zack had an appetite and Angeal knew it.]

[He laughs and nods.]

I will. Still trying to make up for not getting enough on the road.

Angeal gave an amused sort of look but was still concerned. True, Soldier really didn't get to eat at their full capacity. But here at least Zack could gorge himself all that he wanted to.

And he'd have to make sure he made extra when Zack ate at his place.

However, he still gave an amused tone in his question. "Are you trying to tell me that you're still growing, Soldier?"

"Oh come on, we both know I'm not," Zack laughs. "I just need to eat. I don't like feeling super hungry."

And he'd gotten used to it. He wanted to be unused to it.

Angeal smirked but just nodded. "Make sure you do eat." He figured that watching out for Zack wasn't going to be a thing he had to do here, even if Zack stubbornly wanted to watch out for him.

So he walked along and picked up a plate, handing it to Zack. "After you."

Oh man, plate! Zack smiles and takes it, and then is immediately moving to get it filled as much as he can.

Angeal moved out of the way and let Zack go. It was nice to see the other getting excited even if was just regarding food. It still warmed his heart.

So he tried his best to stick next to the Soldier so that Zack didn't get lost or forget where they were sitting. But there were a few times he mentally shook his head with whatever was being piled onto the other's plate.

A little of everything. That was what Zack was going for. A bit here, a bit there, and more in between. Once his plate was mounded he happily moved to an open table, clearly not intending to risk getting back to his previous seats.

"Amazing! So many different things!"

The former First Class just shook his head and noticed that he'd grabbed a huge turkey leg, and some other forms of meat. It'd been a good long time since he'd had such an opportunity to eat so much without worry of being too sluggish to get anything done later.

So he sat opposite of Zack and smiled. "There's a few good looking desserts too, that I plan to get to after this."

hey, he'd gotten vegetables too. And pie. okay he really liked pie so there might be a bit much of that.

"See, I just got them all at once. Efficient."

"Are you going to be able to eat all of that and have room for another round? Or did you work on the efficiency thing to do a one shot deal?"

He wouldn't be surprised if Zack chose to go back for quite a few more rounds.
