Back in November, Ignis petitioned Halcyn for a Winter Festival. He requested snow, lots of lights, and an in ground hot tub or two or more.

Train/moogles/horses - There's also a small train to go ride around the city, and horses will again appear for sleigh rides. Moogles will be appearing/on hand to give directions to where things are if people get lost. They are also serving as sources of information in case someone doesn't know anything about a festival or activity. Just ask the moogle kupo!

Food/shopping - Ignis also learned of and requested that European style christmas markets (including Japanese ones) so all of the foods for those countries and all of the things/traditions that they are associated with will be available. Whatever country has what, feel free to learn about it, or whatever different world. Recipe books will be available for whatever place too so pick one up while you can because you might want to learn to cook it for yourself! (Sorry folks, Remy not included) Enjoy all the shopping and fooding even if you've never heard of that place, world or food before. So eat, drink and be merry!

Activities/things to do - Skiing, sledding, skating and tobogganing will be available and if you're really tough, maybe archery hunting in skis may appeal. Riding on a ski lift can be a relaxing thing to do as well. Snowboarding is available as well, but a few words of caution on that. There may be sledding moogles as you go, lots of trees to run into, balloons, and if you hit an igloo, there may be an angry moogle that throws a table at you. There are also snow chocobos and snow moogles along that path.

For those not so daring to go snowboarding, the snow moogles and snow chocobos will be around town in different spots so that they're not missed. And while they won't throw snowballs at you, your friends just might! And you can ride a horse to go see a model of a royal library. A word of caution however, as there may be monsters even if they're mostly slimecicles. There may be some Luminous Lamplings or Bongo Fandangos lurking about too.


Other activities/happenings - There will also be events and things for the Chinese New Year, such as lion dances, all sorts of traditional foods, decorations, fire works, firecrackers and kids might get red envelopes. Since it is now the Year of the Rabbit, adorable rabbit decorations of all sorts are everywhere. On the last day of this Winter event will be the Lantern Festival.

Something else to note - If you're feeling adventurous there's a place or two to get married! The Hunting Lodge is always open so you could married there too! Take a walk through some Christmas illuminations for romance, or just because they're pretty.

Other notes - People from home will appear this week too as it's a fourth wall event, so be on the lookout for them! And if all of this stuff doesn't work, feel free to choose your own wintry adventure!

Ignis Scientia | Final Fantasy XV | OTA

Food - Ignis has been cooking, trying to do another sample of promotion for the Hunting Lodge. He had gotten a large stack of new cookbooks that he couldn't wait to get home and tear into, and there may be a few more volumes that caught his eye that he will purchase before this day is done. For now, he's serving up dishes and having a rather good time at it.

"How are you today?"

Library Ignis is scribbling notes and taking pictures of the tomes that fill this place. He could spend so much time in here although he's more than well aware that isn't a thing that he can feasibly do. The monsters in here aren't going to mess with anyone unless provoked although he is wary of a dragon professor looking type creature.
As he sits down, there's an immediate "Drat. Now where did I put that red book I just had?"

New Year fireworks

Ignis had found a comfortable spot to sit in. And even better was that it was a heated place so that he found that he could enjoy the fireworks a lot better. Settling his back against the comfortable chair, Ignis crossed his legs and sat back with a well deserved cup of coffee.

"I'm rather looking forward to the fireworks."

"Tired," Tommy says as he takes the small sample offered to him. "Everyone's so busy with the whole 'omg market fair fun' and now I'm doing more deliveries than I normally would on a winter day because people want me to pack it up and leave it on their doorsteps or something."

And cold did not go well with being a speedster. Often the chill left a deep ache in him, perhaps because it was so at odds with the source of his power.

"That sounds exhausting." Ignis sympathized. He wished he could help Tommy out more but he knew that there was no way that he could move anything like the man in front of him could.

"I hope they're paying you well to do what you're doing for them." Because that was only fair.

"Can I get you anything else?" And since Tommy was tired, it would be on the house.

"Oh, it is. But I need to do it so the kids aren't out in the cold as much," Tommy points out. ANd they deserved the fun. Tommy, though, he was mostly driving himself because he needs to keep helping others. This is the best he can do.

"Oh, I'm charging PLENTY for this. Because it's the only fair way to do this."

Still, something else?

"Got any hot drinks?"

Ignis nodded in satisfaction. "If you're working when you're supposed to be having fun, charging plenty is indeed warranted."

At the request, he nodded. "I've tea, coffee, hot apple cider and hot cocoa. Which would you prefer?"

"Exactly," Tommy said with such a smirk. Still, he's mostly happy with the offerings there.

"Coffee. Please. Fucking hell. Maybe with a tiny bit of cocoa mixed in."

Hearing the other speak had Ignis mixing in some cocoa with the coffee with a smile on his face. "Coming right up. And shall I put whipped cream on top?"

"Sure, more sugar is better sometimes."

He watches Ignis as the man works.

"So, you doing okay?"

More sugar reminded him of Noct and Prompto, but he still put the whipped cream on top. For garnish he added a few chocolate sprinkles too.

Placing the tall drink down Ignis nodded. "I am rather well. Business is booming and people seem to be rather enjoying themselves."

Even if he was missing Nida and Mono at the moment.

Then he looked at Tommy. "Do tell me you have something fun planned."

There's a happy sigh from Tommy as he starts sipping at it. Yeah, that helps. A lot.

"I'm glad they're having fun. I'm laying in good funds to help the kiddos. I'm going to see if I can't pay for some to get educated if they want."

Something fun? Tommy raises an eyebrow at that.

"Not really?"

That news surprised Ignis but he smiled. "A proper education? Well that would be wonderful if they could balance classwork and work." But it still made him wonder. "How many do you have in your employ?"

And that last part had his attention as he made himself a drink similar to Tommy's.

"Why ever not?"

"I don't mind if they can't balance it. They deserve a better chance," Tommy said with a shrug. That was just what he was going to deal with. He had to help them.

"And about twenty at the moment."

Why would he do something fun. Twenty kids he's responsible for, and he's also responsible to Ignis.

Ignis nodded. He could understand that Tommy would want better for the kids. "Well I'm sure you'll find them someone." He knew Tommy loved his kids even if the man might not readily admit to such a feeling.

But as far as the fun comment goes, Ignis had to smile a little. He knew all too well about responsibilities.

"Then I hope you can find a moment or two to relax at some point."

"Damn right I will," Tommy said. He was going to be the best boss slash big brother ever.

"I have all the time in the world. And my pet is a sloth, remember? I get reminded on the daily to take slow time for me too."

Ignis smiled. "They're in your very capable hands."

And then the last part.

"Well I daresay some sort of balance between how fast you get things done and taking a tip or two from your sloth to slow down will be a good challenge for you."

"Yeah. We always thought that was why the Sphere gave me Speedy."

Which was not the same thing, but he was definitely dealing with it. The best he could.

He nodded. "I find it extremely interesting that someone as fast as you got a sloth as a pet, adorable as Speedy is. But I do suppose that counts as some semblance of balance?"

There was a smile on Ignis' face as he asked his question.

"I didn't pick him," Tommy says, but yeah, balance. He'd loved the thing since it was little. It hadn't seemed to age before coming here though. And now Speedy was just getting big and adult.

"He handles the world so differently from me."

Ignis smiled at Tommy and then at the little sloth. "How much bigger will he get?" This wasn't a creature that he was familiar with and that was actually very curious about it.

"Don't know. The manuals for care I got with him didn't say. But he seems to be growing still, so a bit at least. I feed him pretty well, and he may have been magic, so maybe larger than his species usually should?"

HE really doesn't know.

"Well I suppose you'll find out soon enough." Ignis replied, getting to the task of moving things around and creating a small amount of work space. There were future orders to take care of and so he needed to focus on that.

"But you say he may have been magic?"

"He didn't grow when I had him in the Sphere," Tommy said. And Speedy wasn't a large creature, which meant he should have grown a lot more before coming here.

"That he didn't grow at all is almost troubling." Ignis mused. "Was there something that prevented such a thing from occurring?"

Magic maybe?

"A lot of things in the Sphere turned out to not be properly real," Tommy said with a shrug. So it was likely that Speedy hadn't been either.

He's not quite sure how to take the comment so he sighs. "Well that's quite interesting. However, the fact that he's here with you is quite a fortunate turn of events."

The advisor started wiping down the counter and thought a moment. "How did he arrive here? Was he with you when you appeared?"

Or Tommy could've requested him as Nida had with his peacat.
