I'm sorry to hear that. It's...troubling how easily some scientists fall into using humans like their lives are expendable if it means they get results on their research.

[For a moment he didn't know what to say. Of course he mentally agreed with her and did nod a bit. But the things being done, and that had been done left him with disgust. Hollander was no different than Hojo in their ability to meddle and manipulate.]

As am I truth be told. Even if that means I'm also grateful my own grandfather is no longer around. [ There's a touch of embarrassment in her tone though, as if she felt ashamed to admit that. ] I'm sorry you've gone though something like this on your own.

And I'm sorry you know the same pain. Sounds like you've gone through some pretty rough trials on your own.

Perhaps but many of those were trials I accepted upon myself. I would rather it be me than others.

That's a pretty brave and noble attitude.

I'm not certain I would quite agree. A number of the problems that I have faced were created by my own company so I feel it is my responsibility to deal with it.

I...see, that is rather similar. The only difference would be in my case, the mad professor was in charge of the company.

The one we had didn't run our company, but I'm sure he had enough clout to pull strings when he needed to.

More than likely. If his experiments were mostly successful, or at the very least brought the company money and prestige, then he would have a great deal of power.

[Angeal sighed.]

He definitely had the military's blessing.

The entire military? I can't imagine the resources that would afford someone.

Hierarchy and chain of command and all that.

That's quite troublesome. I suppose that must make it quite easy for him to cover up any sot of wrongdoings he may do with his experiments?

Unfortunately yes.

[Hojo was a menace, as was Hollander. Scientists and their twisted experiments.]

I would say I am surprised, but unfortunately I'm not. [ She pauses, this seems so invasive to ask but... ] Did he ever do anything to you personally?

Soldier was one of his pet projects, so the whole army had to deal with him.

[bufus]

A pet project? That sounds...very unpleasant for you all.To think someone would take an entire army as their own project to do as they please...how awful.

[heavenlyhonour]

[He shrugged,]

I'm sure it'll all come down eventually.

[bufus]

I hope so and I hope that he gets some sort of repercussions for his actions eventually.

[heavenlyhonour]

He's a self destructive sort. I'm sure it'll come around.
