[ Llewellyn Watts-Maresh wasn’t entirely unused to the idea of his memories being shared with the world around him, but… He still not fond of the experience. Especially given there were now a lot of things that he’d rather not be seen, after his recent trip back to his own world.

Once the situation is brought to his attention, he will likely find his way home for the day for obvious reasons. ]

Exactly, if we had known a couple more details that John could have um- enlightened us about, we probably would have reached the conclusion a little sooner. The victim was planning to leave her husband, and she was quite a bit wealthier than him… So he’d killed her rather than see her leave.

Nine times out of ten, it's the husband, or at least they knew the victim. I'm used to learning insider info from items, but I try to share it. Detectives don't always believe me, but I try.

It is, unfortunately. [ Love or money, sometimes both as it was in this case. ] I can imagine you have a hard time with that, I uh- expect Murdoch could be a bit difficult to convince.

Even if I give a practical demonstration, I get accused prepping beforehand.

Every once in a while, you get a serial murder, but even I've never stumbled upon that one.

Which certainly makes it harder. I can uh- already imagine Murdoch insisting that.

[ Seriously, the man had an amazingly stubborn opinion at times. The case involving a witch a while back had proved that much. The senior detective had gotten so annoyed with his insistence. ]

I’ve been involved with a few cases like that. Almost was a part of one. They’re tricky. Having someone with your ability around would be helpful.

[ Llewellyn had a feeling that it would go sideways. Murdoch being confronted with something he couldn’t explain, usually got a bit tense as the man continued to insist there had to be something to explain it. Then again… There was a first time for everything. He almost wondered if that would be it. ]

True enough, it’s just a matter of putting in the effort to find it, and uh- I suppose with your ability there is always the chance of having an idea of where you could get it?

Oh, yeah. Lt. Reynolds back home used to call me a cheater all the time.

He was the only believer. The rest of them thought I was either full of it, or involved somehow.

Mm… I suppose some might jump to that as the easiest answer. [ And that’s dangerous, he’d… very recently had to argue against such thinking. No one listened, and it ended badly for someone. ] I hope you at least have uh- had the opportunity to prove otherwise.

Well, it’s kind of hard to doubt people when you’ve already been tossed about in other worlds and seen both magic and things that you never knew possible. Though, I suppose I’d still try to be open-minded if I’d met you in my world as well.
