Memory Share Event Broadcasts

[ Llewellyn Watts-Maresh wasn’t entirely unused to the idea of his memories being shared with the world around him, but… He still not fond of the experience. Especially given there were now a lot of things that he’d rather not be seen, after his recent trip back to his own world.

Once the situation is brought to his attention, he will likely find his way home for the day for obvious reasons. ]

[ To be fair, Llewellyn shouldn’t, but it wasn’t as though anyone ever tried to convince him otherwise, aside from Doctor Ogden on one occasion. ]

Hm… My apologies to hear that. It seems like whatever causes all this likes to focus on such things. I have had a similar incident like that in the prior world where I was, although this moment you brought to my attention is rather up there as well.

[ Llewellyn does try the cider, it’s does taste nice at least. ]

Mm… Very lucky, I think. It’s why I’d rather focus on this life than that one.

[ Not that bottling his experiences and keeping things to himself was necessarily healthy, but it was preferable to focus on what good there was here. The memory share was an inconvenient reminder, more than anything.]

Now that is a mood I can understand. I like this life of mine far more than the one back home.

Ah… [ He can understand that, considering he hasn’t even really had a chance or the right nudge to talk to his husband about some things that happened when he went back to his world? It was a bit of a stressful mess to know this was happening here again. The detective wasn’t sure how to approach some subjects without prompting, concerned about worrying people. ] If I could tell you what might have triggered this whole uh- memory sharing situation, I’d share so you could avoid it, but I can’t say that I do. This is a little outside my realm of knowledge and expertise other than the experience itself.

No, and I haven’t noticed anything out of place, at least not as yet.

Agreed, especially as the only thing I can say with any certainty is that it seems to have been triggered while I was out of the office… None of these appear to have been shared while I was still here. Probably when I picked up my lunch. But if we had the luxury of taking the day off and going home till this all blows over, it would, uh- certainly be easier.

[ But unfortunately, that wasn’t exactly in the cards. Not for someone with the guard, and really, Llewellyn had to remind himself he had some hours to go before he was finished here for the day. ]

Is there any reason you can't take that luxury? I can't because of duties and patrol rotations, but you could.

Mm… While I don’t tend to get involved with the cases of a more ‘magical’ variety, I do have casework that involves other things. [ The more mundane variety, things he could grasp and take care of while others worked on things that weren’t his area of expertise. ] It would be a bit irresponsible to put them aside for the sake of my own comfort.

[ Not that he could take the files home with him to go over, though. He didn’t imagine Jagger would mind… So he was a touch conflicted. ]

I can't imagine you can get as much work done if people harass you about this online, but it's fair to keep working too.

[ Glancing at his phone that had already given a few telltale buzzes that suggested people were messaging, he sighed. ]

I suppose that’s true… And I will owe some explanations depending on who saw what.

[ Llewellyn and pushing himself beyond a particular point when upset about things was actually more common in his recent history than he’d be willing to admit. So Nida was probably not wrong to be concerned about that. ]

I uh- suppose if anything I could take my files home and work on them when I have the chance between it all.

[He reaches out to touch the man's arm.]

In case he hasn't seen it yet, you should tell your husband about the memory I saw. If he doesn't know. That isn't something you want him stumbling onto.

[ Llewellyn frowned lightly, pausing from putting together his files to take home. Felt awkward to have someone point it out, even if he knew that Nida was probably right… ]

I realize you’re right… I just haven’t ever been sure how to approach that subject. There’s so much that happened when I went back.

[Well, Nida knows that one, just a it. Actually, he has a good answer for it.]

I had to deal with it it once. I tried to hide from it, and from the person I loved. And my friends. In the end, I realized that if I didn't say it all, I would have hurt myself more.

[ Llewellyn worries less about himself than he does about Rhy, not to mention what his husband might think or how he might react to some things that he’d been carrying around in his head since he returned. ]

I’m more concerned with worrying him with it all than I am about myself… [ He rubbed the side of his face awkwardly. ] Did you just… bring it up or arrange some time to tell the person you told…?

Well, my sorta-brother came to demand it first, after Boss let him close. Then I made time for my then boyfriend.

Mm… I should probably do something like that then. Make time, I mean… Before he sees that. [ As hard as that seems to him, compared to the many things Llewellyn could think of to do or talk about other things. ] Thank you, Nida.

You’re right, I know… And hurting him is the last thing I want. [ Glancing at his phone again, he finally nodded. ] I think… I’ll take my work home after all, and try to get things sorted to talk later.
