Movie Night
Who; Illyana + OTA!
What; Come watch movies and eat unhealthy snacks! And maybe be affected by the little monsters that make it where you can't lie. It'll be a fun time.
Where; Moving Pictures Movie Theater

It'd been a long time since Illyana had a movie night with anyone at all. Even longer since she'd had one with a group of people. In a different life she'd spent a lot quite a few nights with friends watching movies and throwing popcorn at one another. But that'd been then and this was now. And now she was weirdly excited about it. Not that she'd readily admit to it, but the lengths she went to in terms of preparation said enough. Children should get to have a childhood and childhoods were meant to be filled with movies and horrible snacks.
Which was exactly what this was.
Inside the theater she'd set up little stands manned by imps dressed in movie usher costumes. At their booths they're selling a variety of foods. There's a stand with popcorn mixed with various candies including M&M's, snowcaps, and probably some less tasty ones considering she let the imps pick out a few custom mixes. There's even a popcorn bag filled with nacho cheese to try out! There's a stand that has some nachos that also have various additions mixed. Basically the mixtures are whatever you could imagine, even if it's not something pleasant. The imps are doing their best though! There's also a few stands with sodas and with just candy to be picked up.
The first movie to be shown will be Gremlin a slightly altered (though barely) version of Gremlins. After that skies the limit! All the movies Illyana's picked out are horror movies of various kinds. There's a few that are about ghost sharks and one about Killer Klowns from Outer space. There's also one about a killer Leprechaun that's only real difference is it's a discount version of the original. Dollar store Leprechaun. There's a few in the j-horror haunting like the Grudge and a few featuring massive serial killers wearing weird masks.
Come have fun, feel free to make up your own movie to be shown! Or your own snacks! You're also obviously free to incorporate the event into this and have characters affected by the not being able to lie portion! Have fun!

"Careful, you're going to make yourself sick if you eat too much junk like this." She tilts her head to the side. "At least that's what my brother always told me happened." But maybe he'd just been lying like older siblings did.

Which could mean good or bad, except the Fae is quick to bend down and collect the few pieces that have fallen onto the floor. Just a little dirty, it's still good.
"Surely a brother would not lie to you, even if he could. Is he coming to see these movies too?"

"Gross." That's too far. A touch of a frown appeared on her face.
"Family lies to family." That was just a fact. "He's not here."

He hums at that thoughtfully, before thrusting his popcorn bucket out at her.
"In that case, would you like some?"
Maybe her brother really was lying and she was needlessly denying herself such deliciousness.
"If these movies are half as good as the snacks, this shall be a night to remember!"

He's heard rumors of them, a form of entertainment in the human city beyond his woods. The crows had brought him what they could - striped icee cups and empty popcorn buckets.
"Do you enjoy them?"

"Some. I used to love them when I was younger. My friends and I would have nights just dedicated to watching them all." But that felt like another lifetime ago and in some ways it quite literally was.

"That sounds like a very nice thing..." He can sort of imagine it. There's food, and others, and stories. Many of the things that the Fae likes. Daeshim's eyes take on a far-off look before focusing on her again. "Consider me your friend! For this night and any others."

"It wasn't too bad. Things were definitely easier then." Probably better too in a lot of ways. But things changed, people changed, and circumstances changed. She blinked and tilted her head at him. "Congratulations to me?" Her tone was amused more than anything. "Are you always so quick to make a friend?"
