Somehow Jacob got sick. How that was, Yuki wasn't even sure because it could've been for a million different little reasons. First, Yuki found himself nagging his other half to take his jacket to work and not stripping down as soon as he got home. Warm baths had been advised and unheeded and he just kept sighing at Jacob, insisting he was going to come down sick.

And sure enough it had happened.

Now he had the other's head in his lap as he sat on the couch. There were so many unspoken 'I told you so's, but fortunately Jacob's oncoming sickness had waited until after his birthday which he was grateful for. For now, he just tried to keep the hair out of the other's eyes and pondered if he should attempt to get up and try making soup or something.

Then again maybe he could order it.

That comment got a small laugh out of Yuki as their fingers intertwined. "You wanted to get the house done and didn't slow down. You overworked yourself and fell sick." He really wanted to add that he acted like Miss Honda back home but wasn't sure how the other might take the comparison.

"I hope you do listen." came the reply as he saw Jacob close his eyes. "I really don't have any way to slow you down, except to distract you."

And he knew more than a few ways to do just that.

Jacob exhaled a soft huff of despairing laughter at Yuki's recap. "So... I have a place to be sick?" Was that a bright side? It didn't sound like him but something that would come out of his sister's mouth. He didn't feel like it was a good thing but he was happy to have a home.

It was all a very new feeling.

"You are good at distracting me." If his forehead wasn't burning he might have done something inappropriate.

There was a soft squeak and the pitter-patter of tiny feet before Jacob felt the soft plop of a toy on his chest. 'ohno' A second later there was a puppy jumping on his stomach to get between Yuki and Jacob's cuddling. "Ow... Shi..." He was still a puppy but getting heavier.

"I guess that's one way to look at it." Yuki replied with a soft smile on his face. It was so weird sometimes, he still half expected one of his cousins to be here or for the house to not be as quiet as it usually was.

But he didn't realize how much work a house took to keep clean. He scheduled his days off for it.

"I know how if I need to." came the answer until the dog came and interrupted it briefly. The dog was aptly named and Jacob didn't even realize it.
