I'm just learning theory right now. But the teachers are stating that they want to teach us basics, but they haven't said what those are.

[Yuki figured this was hands on training and going over precautions and learning things of that nature before they could wield any sort of magic.]

Theory's damn important. If also sorta boring sometimes. We had some cautionary talks before we were ever allowed to have our first junctions.

When you start to learn spell working, talk to your instructors, see if they think it's okay to try in combat. If it is, we'll start adding it to our fights.

Yes, but where I was raised, we learned to mix the two from that level. You have to learn it together for it to be instinctive sometimes.

Years, but in your defense, I was always rather shit at most forms of magic growing up. Even my mastery of wind and water spells only game with age and practice. I barely got through at all on magic scores.

Maybe I'll end up like that too. I'm sure I won't master a lot at first anyway, considering it wasn't something native to my world.
