Hey, looking for some advice! I need to find something pink. Clothing or an accessory. I've got this really important meeting, and I'm supposed to wear pink. Except I'm really new to this place and I literally don't know where any of the shops are.

Not that I'm lost or anything. I've got an awesome sense of direction and all of that.

Anyway, uh, advice is totally wanted. Not the greatest at picking out clothes and stuff.

Oh, and is there a weapons vendor anywhere?

Ah! Actually, you don’t need to worry about that. So long as you remember my name, it’s right in the directory on the phone already. It seems to update itself as new people arrive, and when they leave… So it’s a good way to tell who is here or who might no longer be.

Uuh huh. How do I get to the directory?

Oh, good question. You’ll need to back out of the message and go to the menu where you found the different methods of contacting the network. There should be a selection for the directory found there.

Okay. I'll try that.

[ Honestly, Llewellyn should have expected that. He gives it about ten minutes just to be on the safe side before he sends another text to see if the guy had found his way to the director or not. ]

I was glad to help, and I can see how it has its advantages over calling when one needs to multitask while figuring new devices out.

Yeah, I need to figure this out too. Damn, I'm bad at this. I just used to check, like, seventy e-mails at once and then got back to work.

You’ll get better with practice, I’m sure. I did, at least, and things like this or computers for emails don’t even exist where I’m from.

Ah, well actually I’m from a city. But I believe compared to modern cities that many people around here are accustomed to, I suppose some would say that would be a closer comparison. I’m from a time before computers and cellphones, to explain it.

Oh. Huh. I guess in some places in my world I'm from before it too. Most poor regions like my home town, we don't have them at all.

That sounds similar for a few kinds of places I've heard about from others as well during my time in these kinds of worlds. I’ve found that there are people from a wide variety of places and time gathered here.

Yes, I suppose you could say that about it. Makes for some confusion now and again, but everyone does help each other out.

They are. I am unsure if it’s the kind of people that are drawn into this world or if it’s because we’re all in the same situation, but everyone does try to help out in their own way. Especially with people who’ve only just arrived.
