Jon has been making plans for a while now, and everything is finally in place, and they both have time free today. He has invited Inesa on a picnic lunch, and picked out the spot. It's fitting, considering where they spent much of their early time together. And the best part is that Ghost gets to come too.

"Are you ready?" he asks as he grabs the basket off the counter.

"Yes!" Inesa had a little parade of animals that she took care of but after some thought she had decided to leave her current charges under the watchful eye of her rabbit Lancelot. She pet the cute bunny on the head and gave a kiss to the two small chocobo that she'd picked up before following Jon and Ghost towards the door.

"Would you like me to help you carry anything?"

She had her hair braided on either side of her face with a cute off white sundress on. The weather was warm and pleasant but Inesa decided to grab a hat as they left the apartment to use as shade.

"I've got it all. You just enjoy the walk." He doesn't mind carrying all the food, and he wants this day to be special for her. For reasons she'll discover soon enough. "Have you ever been to the forest here?" He had been delighted to discover that it has certain similarities with the godswood at Winterfell. The suggestion to look there had resulted in finding another tree that he feels will serve well enough as a heart tree. Which he knows isn't a concern for her; she just likes trees.

"I enjoy any walk we have together." She pressed a kiss to his cheek before holding open the door for him. "Even if I am carrying things." Inesa wouldn't press but she wanted him to know that it never bothered her. She was just happy as things were, with him and Ghost at her side.

"I have a little but not much. I was told it was dangerous and I didn't want to cause trouble." Her head tilted to the side as they walked down the hallway towards the front door of the apartment building. "Have you?" She could imagine that Jon had enough experience to explore safely.

"If I am honest. I'd love to see it."

Trees were awesome.

"I thought you might." They had had some memorable moments among the trees in the Sphere, after all. Those areas had meant something special to them. "I've explored a little, though I was told not to go too far in, so I didn't. I found us a spot near the edge, where we'll be surrounded by trees but will be able to avoid trouble." It's the closest he has found here to a godswood with a heart tree, and he can't think of a better place for them to have their picnic.

"Perfect!" Inesa smiled and followed at Jon's side towards the edge of the city. She hadn't seen much of the wall around the city, staying primarily at the city's center while occasionally going to the Chocobo farm, and so Inesa couldn't help but look around as they made their way through the gates heading towards the forest.

To her, it was an adventure and the first time she'd been able to walk through a part of the woods that she'd seen many times from the sky.

"It's beautiful here." She wished that it wasn't dangerous but she supposed that couldn't be helped in a place like this.

"It is. Which is why I picked it. I know how much you loved the forest dome in the Sphere." So had he, truthfully, partly because it reminded him of the godswoods of the North and partly because she had loved it so much. "Maybe later we can take a stroll through the park."

She looked back at Jon with a warm smile. "I'd like that. The park is beautiful." Inesa walked through the park often but every beautiful scene was made better with good company. "We could walk by the water too." It was all beautiful, even if in different ways.

She stepped carefully through the underbrush of the woods hesitating when the wall of the city was barely out of sight. "We aren't going in too far... right?" All three of them could fight and protect the other but the forest still made her a bit uneasy.

"No, we're not going in too far." He takes threats seriously, and besides, this is supposed to be an enjoyable day, not a day where they end up fighting because they took a misstep. "I think this is a good spot." He sets the basket down in a space where they are surrounded by trees and can imagine that they're deep in a forest but aren't in a threatening area, and the ground is flat enough to sit. He pulls the blanket out of the basket and spreads it out. "Have a seat." He waits for her to get settled before he sits down himself.

Inesa reached for the edge of the blanket and helped spread it out over the ground. She then took a seat, patting the ground beside her for Ghost to curl up and receive affectionate pets.

"Did you put all this together?" She did a lot of the cooking in their apartment because she had enjoyed it but Jon had been in charge of this outing and Inesa had given him the freedom to plan the food.

"I bought some of it." He's not the best when it comes to cooking, because he'd never had to learn in Westeros. Any cooking he had done while among the wildlings had been over a fire. Not practical knowledge in a place with a kitchen. And Inesa likes it, so he leaves her to it.

He and Ghost settle onto the blanket with her. "I had some help coming up with ideas."

The sweet angel focused her attention on Ghost, scratching affectionally behind the wolf's ear while listening to Jon's answer. It didn't surprise her that he had purchased a great deal of the food and it didn't bother her either. It was the thought that he put into each of his actions that she loved.

"I already know that what you brought is perfect." She glanced up at him, her cheeks brushed with a rosy hue. "Is it alright if I asked who helped you?" She didn't know if he had a lot of friends in the city and she was happy to hear that he'd been reaching out to others. People need people.

"I brought your favorites." He wants it to be a special day for her, and he also wanted her to have her favorites without having to be the one who cooked them. "You should teach me how to cook." It's a random thought, mentioned now so that he remembers to say it, and he would like to be able to help her in the kitchen.

He finishes spreading out the food. "I had some help from Llewellyn. And some others on the...network?"

Inesa's grin widened. "I'd like that. You'd be a wonderful cook." She giggled a little and lightly brushed her fingers along the hilt of his blade. "You're good with a knife. That helps though you'll have to use a smaller one."

She reached forward and picked up a small triangle of a cucumber dill sandwich. "Oh?" Inesa nibbled on the sandwich as she spoke. "What did you ask them? For food ideas?" She didn't remember seeing anything on the network and wondered if she had missed it.

"If you say so." As far as he's concerned, if he turns out to be any sort of cook at all, it will be because of the person who taught him more than anything. He had never had to worry about cooking his own food in Westeros, or in the places he's been since then, either. Any skill he gains will be from her teaching her.

"No, I had no trouble with the food." He had just had to figure out where to find her favorites, which hadn't been hard. "I wanted to make the day special, so I asked for some ideas."
