The hunt for chef's knives
Who; Ignis & you! (Don't forget to tag in!)
What; Chef knife questing or something silly like that
Where; On the road to the Academy?
When; Late April
Warnings;
Ignis had heard of the reports of beings that sounded an awful lot like Tonberries he'd fought at home from his husband Nida who was in the guard. He also kept his ears open at work at the Hunting Lodge and people were fond of pulling him aside as he made his rounds and talking about the creatures. The more details he got, the more convinced he was that somehow the little green devils had made their way here.
Tonberries were daemons in his world and he and the lads fought them along with other nefarious ones in black robes. So he was quite well versed with their fearsome capabilities. However, the knives he'd acquired from fighting them back home didn't come with him and he decided to go see the creatures he kept receiving reports about.
Putting down the notes he'd made in the green leather book that Detective Llewellyn Watts had gifted him on his wedding day, the advisor sighed to his companion.
"I do suppose this means a hunt is in order."

"I do suppose this means a hunt is in order."

"You're just so adorable in how you are in love with this dear."

"Nothing like a good fight to get the blood pumping."
There were other things too, but fighting these little green men was first on the list.

He charged the spell and threw the fireball out. Fun.

And to the one that just got singed with the fire, Ignis then shoved his lance into it.

"Fucking. Hate. These," Nida hissed, slashing his weapon down. What he'd give for a haste spell. Or even a small measure of the true magical talent his husband had.
"Hey, watch out!" he shouted then, as he saw another tonberry falling in from above. He managed to spin his weapon so that the staff of it knocked the tonberry aside before it could stab his husband.

That's when he noticed the falling Tonberry and Ignis moved almost too late as he got the warning.
That had him switch weapons and his daggers came out with a quickness, ready for battle.

Somehow he wasn't ready to be called beautiful, especially during battle. And so his face turned slightly red as he looked away and kept his gaze on the nearest foe.
"Yes well, if you insist on keeping this up and these chef's knives will be forgotten on the counter when we get home. And the table will become a temporary bed."

"You think that's going to turn me off of the idea of talking like this, love? You're going to get me talking even worse."

Blocking an incoming stab, Ignis managed to get a good sharp set of daggers into one of the Ton's faces. And then he turned to notice one creeping near his husband's leg and he threw one of his daggers with its pinpoint accuracy right into the creature's forehead.
With a very slight smirk at his own handiwork, the advisor nodded. "I absolutely love to hear you talk naughty."
And that was true, it was a huge turn on for Ignis.

Now to collect the spoils and hope they weren't ambushed by more.
"Darling, you're the one talking naughty."
