Who; Jacob
brotherofagod & Ignis
faithfulsupport
What; A chat
Where; Somewhere in Aterat
When; Today
Warnings; None expected, will change if needed
Ignis had the idea of a wooden chair for the garden stuck in his head. He'd even walked the yard itself and visualized where to place it. The problem was that he couldn't make it himself, but he knew of a certain lad that would be able to. So he smiled at the space and spoke to it. "I will be bringing a chair to sit here. And I will be making sure that it is indeed properly placed."
So he went out to find the lad in question which was Jacob. Knowing where the man worked, Ignis headed straight for the workshop. Along the way he gathered a few ingredients that he had forgotten while shopping with his husband. So after the small bit of shopping, he stopped by the woodshop and waited to see if he could find who he was searching for.

The young carpenter walked over to his desk and grabbed a thick sheet of parchment along with a hefty wooden pencil. The drawing was rudimentary but clean and easy to follow. It detailed one seated swing held by two bi-angeled supports. "Something like this or did you have a specific idea in mind? I can make it a bench that swings. That would fit two people."
Playsets got incredibly elaborate on earth but Jake figured that Ignis was thinking of just a swing, perhaps those two seated ones he'd seen sitting on his neighbor's front pourches in the past.

Sure it was coming along rather nicely but Ignis got up early even on his days off as loathe as he was to leave a nice warm sleeping husband. He would go to the kitchen or living room areas and begin painting after preparing coffee and breakfast, which usually enticed his sleepy hubby to come down and at least put something in his stomach before accompanying Ignis in the project.

It didn't hurt that Jake liked these kinds of designs.
"How about this?" Once he had the design detailed out he turned it over to Ignis and indicated the space that it would require.

Soon he was looking at what he'd wanted and he nodded. "That will certainly work out just fine. And I do realize you're quite busy, so there's no rush on when this project needs to be completed by. However, there is the matter of payment, so you can let me know how much I will need to put down or if there is a deposit required."
Business at the Lodge was unexpectedly booming and Ignis had his own hands full of those that knew something of carpentry help expand on the place. People were coming either to marry or have him do catering for their wedding, which helped provide extra coin for renovating his house and a more personal project of wanting to put a thread of Jade in his wedding ring. Nida had a stone set into his, but Ignis had chosen to keep his plain. But since his husband had gifted him with the Jade necklace and they did spend a great deal of time together in the Green apartment that he'd had, the colour was special.
However, that topic had to be broached to his husband as of yet.

"Anything else you need from me?" He didn't remember if they had a lesson today or not. Their schedule was pretty flexible since they both had people that they wanted to see every day.
Jacob nervously scratch the back of his head. "I don't remember when our next cooking lesson was supposed to be."

"Well I need the wood delivered to the house if you don't mind. It's for Nida and myself to relax in our garden that we're working on." And if that somehow altered it to where the discount wasn't applied, Ignis wasn't going to worry about it.
The advisor shook his head to the anything else question but he smiled. "You can let me know when you're free. I'm free in the evenings, usually after six." This was due to him making time for his husband, and with the extra coin coming in for people marrying at the Lodge, he could choose his own hours and worked mad hours when Nida was occupied.

The papers were tucked away with a quickly scrawled note to Gray to price up the piece and allocate the wood that would be required to put the thing together. With that done he turned back towards Ignis with a smile.
"How about tonight? If you're up for it. I can meet you at the lodge in an hour or so. My days nearly up." He had gotten ahead on his orders so he could leave now but Jake didn't like leaving until things were organized.

"I'm more than happy to meet you there. I'll get the rest of the night set up for the others and that will allow me time to focus on being able to fully concentrate on our lesson for the evening." He paused. "And since I'm on my way back, I can stop at the market and purchase ingredients for something in particular that you might have in mind."

"Right. I was actually wondering if you could teach me how to make a cake. I don't know when Yuki's birthday is but I'm thinking we need to start a tradition." He usually forgot his birthday but Yuki's felt important. Jacob wanted Yuki to know that he was happy that the other was born because they were able to meet.
"If you need me to pick anything up you can text me. I'll be leaving here in an hour or so."

"A cake I can teach you. However, I would need to know what type of cake. Are we speaking of a chocolate one or vanilla or something beyond those options?" The advisor himself made a chiffon cake, but he wanted to try to get Jacob to get comfortable with the process itself and then he could go from there.
"But as far as ingredients go, I can provide them. However, should I think of anything I will inform you at once."
Hopefully Jacob wasn't into holding his breath.

"Okay." It probably didn't take much to make a simple cake... hopefully.
"I'll see you in a few then." It sounded like things were sorted out so Jacob turned back to his work and began to continue making sketches and measurements for Ignis's new swing.
