[ Llewellyn wasn’t much for using the network, really. Tell-phones were something he tended to be more than a little clumsy with. I’m just uh- looking to see if anyone would be interested in helping me out with a little project I’ve been working on. Some of you already know about it, since you mm... were around in the last world I was, as well. Pretzel’s particularly good at following scent trails, and we had thought he would be helpful in the event that people went missing back then. Seems as important here as it was there. Especially since this world has a lot more potentially confusing places to get lost, like the forest.
But! Anyway, I um... I’ve been spending the better part of the last year and a half training him in scent tracking. Rhy and I have mostly been working with items and making trails like that... But I think it would be beneficial for the little fellow to get experience looking for real people now.
Also... He’s very sociable, and because the last world we were in had very... few animals... [ Complicated in ways Llewellyn didn’t know how to explain, really. ] He doesn’t quite know what everything here is. He keeps trying to make friends with creatures that aren’t fond of dogs. [ A small amused huff. Pretzel really was as awkward as he could be sometimes. ] So if anyone has a particularly social pet that he might get along with, it might be nice for him to get to know them?
[ An awkward pause, then a nod. That was about it. ]
Uh- anyway, I’ll be going then. Thank you for your time!

Pretzel was a very energetic, growingwrinkle hound. It was important to get him out for walks so he didn’t get too housebound, and while the move was going to give the little guy more room to run around? It was going to be an adjustment, and Llewellyn was hoping to keep his routine as close to normal in all the excitement.
Especially since Pretzel had somehow gotten very good at slipping out without their notice to explore the city in search of friends. Neither he nor Rhy could figure out how the dog kept doing it, it was a mystery.
Llewellyn had decided it was just that the dog was rather intelligent, and he wasn’t being challenged or engaged enough. So the best answer he could come up with was to increase training and give him something a little more difficult. Challenge the clever little hound’s mind while they were out and about.
Afternoons where he wasn’t at the Gullwings office, Aerith’s garden shop, or with his husband were spent on very long walks around the market... Or running around the park with fake scent trails and dog toys as he tried to keep up with Pretzel’s training and exercise.
ooc: People could either run into them at the park (especially if you want to handwave them arranging to help with training) or bump into them around the market! Both Llewellyn and Pretzel are veryawkward social!
Helping out a friend in need. - Closed to Lauri-Ell
Llewellyn adjusted his hat slightly, moving down a side street with Pretzel trotting dutifully at his heels. The detective had a somewhat concerned and definitely curious expression on his face as he took a shortcut to the forge where his friend worked.
Lauri-Ell didn’t tend to ask for assistance or favours much, in his experience. They had their weekly lessons for writing and sharing books... But this was a little different from that. She had sounded a bit frustrated and troubled, explaining that something rather important was missing...
It hadn’t taken more than a half second of thought to agree. He wasn’t fond of friends being troubled by things, especially if he could help.
So off he went with a quick note for his husband where he was going for the day in case he didn’t make it home till later in the evening, getting Pretzel’s leash on and making his way to their destination.
I know exactly what I want, and it's this life that we've created, inundated with the fated thought of you. - Closed to Rhy
This was it. This was moving day. Well... Moving week, really. They had been working for the last week or so to get their belongings moved from the red and blue building to the stonework house that was situated in a small neighborhood near the market.
But today, in particular, was special. It was moving in day. It was also, amusingly, their wedding anniversary. Which had felt rather fitting for their next step together.
There were other things, of course, that needed doing. The house was in livable conditions, but it did still need a little work here and there. Some painting needed to be done to freshen things, some small repairs here and there, and perhaps a little more cleaning where it had been vacant for so long...
But they were both rather eager lovebirds, after having been searching for the right house for a few months now. Especially since this one had been perfect, hitting most of the marks that they had agreed on for a home, which felt rather lucky.
Llewellyn had been... Well, he was up to something. Rhy would be able to tell that much as they got ready for the day. The detective had never been good at hiding things unless someone’s life depended on it (and if it was his life, then less so). So it was clear enough that he was keeping something to himself while they went over last-minute plans.
It was their wedding anniversary though, so what on earth did the man have up his sleeve today?
“So uh- we need to stop off at the shop to get the um...” He gestured at the windows lightly from where he was standing next to the closet, trying to button his shirt and get dressed for the day. “The materials you picked out for the curtains and your projects? And I have to get some paint to work in the kitchen in the next few weeks...” He tapped off the list on his finger, forgetting his task of getting dressed for a moment. “Should probably see if the carpentry shop has some of the things we commissioned finished, too. I think the note I received from the messenger said they had Pretzel’s bed and a few other things ready.” He added, piling a few more things onto the list while he tried to decide on a green waistcoat or a blue one.

"Yes we are. The apartments are a bit larger than the sphere living space but we might have to find a larger home now that we have such a large family." Pet's took up a surprising amount of space and Inesa wanted a yard or a farm for them to run around in. "Everyone really liked the flower crowns and I was able to run into Larui-El. She said she'd even show me the green house sometime soon. I was going to offer to help the plants grow." She didn't like doing a lot but she could offer the plants and flowers a bit of extra health.
Rose continued to follow though she stopped trying to meet Inesa's heels and instead waddled along side Pretzel. She realized that the humans were talking but neither of them were paying attention to HER! With a little puff of her feathers she flapped her wings until she was high enough to jump onto Pretzel's back. That will surely get her attention.

Llewellyn was glad to hear that they’d been settling in well, though he couldn’t say he was surprised to hear they were thinking of finding something larger as their family grew. “That sounds sensible, and there are mm… plenty of lovely spots in the city that are open for those interested in moving. I can probably give you a few of the addresses from our own search, now that we have a place.” He offered with a smile. “Actually, if you’d be alright with a detour… I could probably give you the list I compiled. There was something I was hoping to get your opinion on at the house, anyway.” He added with an absentminded tone, as though remembering something.
“I’m glad to hear that. They were nice to make. I’m glad people enjoyed them.” He added with a brighter tone. He had been wondering how they’d been received, after all. Especially since he rather liked the idea of helping her with them again in the future.
Though, the detective had to stifle a small gasp and chuckle of delight as he noticed Pretzel now had someone sitting on his back. The little hound seemed unbothered by his passenger, and had even taken it to think that they were making progress as friends! “Mm… I think someone has either gotten more comfortable with Pretzel, or they’re offended by our ignoring them.”

"Is it far?" She hadn't been to Llewellyn's new home yet and didn't know if the list he was going to give her was there or at the office where he worked.
The young angel turned and watched as Rose road elegantly on Pretzel's back. She didn't try and stifle the little bubble of laughter that rose to her lips. "Perhaps it is a bit a both. I am glad. If we had to walk much longer I imagine that Rose might get tired." The other two were still asleep in the basket after running around for hours that morning.

“Nope!” He responded with a light tone. “Rhy and I wanted to make sure we were close enough to the tailor shop to make getting back and forth easily.” He commented with a smile. “So we managed to find somewhere that’s in a small neighborhood just off the side of the market.” So they were actually close to most things, which was convenient and meant the walk wouldn’t be too far.
Chuckling lightly, he shook his head a little. “I suppose that means Pretzel is not only a scent hound, but a small steed.” He commented with amusement, but glad that the two had come to… Well, some kind of arrangement where Rose wasn’t fussing at the dog. Perhaps it would be the start of a nice, if slightly awkward, friendship.
It wouldn’t be that hard for Pretzel, though, or that long as they came upon a stone house surrounded by a similar stonework gate with moss growing along the outside and a slowly growing hedge along the inside of it. There were clear signs of someone trying to get work started on a proper garden, with the earth worked in several areas and some planters set under windows, waiting for Llewellyn to begin.
That said, the detective had to take care of a few other things first. “Right! So, the list and… I have something else I’ve been meaning to get to you, but it’s been a little hectic of late.” He added as he opened the gate for her to enter behind him.

She followed Llewellyn to his home while keeping a careful eye on Rose. When they arrived Inesa placed the basket she'd been carrying down just inside of the yard to let its too sleep occupants nap without any discomfort from her awkward movements. "Oh? What is that?" Inesa leaned over to pet Rose as Pretzel walked by her and the pink chocobo cooed happily at the attention. Pretzel was indeed becoming the perfect stead for the tiny bird. It'd become awkward as Rose grew into a full sized Chocobo.
"Your house is lovely." She hadn't seen it before and wanted to comment on it before it slipped her mind.

He smiled though at her question, a mysteriously pleased glint in his eye. Llewellyn felt quite pleased that Raimon had agreed to his request and been able to deliver. “You’ll see.” He responded, moving from the kitchen through an arch to the dining room where a potted plant and a small bag of seeds rested next to it.
“Thank you. There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done for repairs and painting, but we’re quite happy with it.” He responded cheerfully. Clearly, he was looking forward to the time they could put into the house to make it just right for them. That aside, he picked up the plant and seeds to turn to Inesa. “Here we are… I know you weren’t sure if this was possible, but um… I had a word with Raimon, he’s been very helpful in finding things if it’s possible, and I thought you might like to have these here?” He asked, showing her the glowing blue bell flower that she had first showed him at the sphere. It was a little late, but he thought it made a rather nice ‘Welcome to this world’ gift.

"I would like a large space for the little ones to run around and many of the houses in this neighborhood appear to have sizable space." Inesa continued to speak as she followed Llewellyn further into his home. She wasn't sure what to expect but she was happy to receive a gift from Llewellyn, whatever it was.
Inesa's eyes brightened and her thoughts focused on the flower in front of her as Llewellyn showed her the familiar blue bell-like bud. "You found one?!" She walked over to it and gently brushed her fingers against the petals. It was exactly as she remembered. As if to confirm the plant's authenticity a small glowing blue light rose from Inesa's chest and floated over to the flower. The water spirit flickered happily before fading into his new home.
Inesa giggled before looking back up at Llewellyn. "It is beautiful. Thank you so much. My little friend likes it too."

Even Pretzel had grown out of that space fairly quickly. Having a larger house and a nice yard for the pup to run around in had made things a little easier for everyone, and it certainly was healthier for the pup. “And if you live in the neighborhood, I’m sure we could arrange for our little friends to run around together in either yard, if you like.” He added with a smile, rather liking the idea of having their friend close after everything they’d been through together at the Sphere.
His focus shifted, though, as he handed over the flower to Inesa, rather excited to see what she thought. “I did!” He responded with a light tone. “Or- well, I knew who to ask. That Raimon fellow is quite resourceful at getting things from other worlds.” He explained, watching curiously as she focused on the blue belle flower. “I thought it would be a nice welcome to this world present after our last discussion on the subject. Perhaps you can even grow more with the help of this one?” He hoped so, at least. Llewellyn thought his friend deserved to have something she loved from her home world, and they really were quite beautiful.
It was hard to not look a bit surprised as the water spirit transferred from Inesa to the flower, expression shifting at the sight to something awed and delighted. “Oh… Look at that…” He murmured, thinking it was a pretty good sign to see the timid spirit moving into the flower so quickly. “Well, I’m glad the little one approves, too!”
no subject
"Thank you Llewellyn again." Her fingers wrapped protectively around the potted plant before bringing it to her chest. She wasn't sure how she was going to carry everything home but she was excited to find a perfect place for the new addition to her indoor garden. "I think I can. Now that the plant is here, once it buds, I will be able to harvest seeds and plant them. Perhaps the whole city could be covered in it!" It would make stealth at night nearly impossible but it would be truely love, bathing the city in a soft blue light.
"Yes. They used to live in the blue bell flower that I had in the Sphere. I think he missed his home. I do not know what spirits see when they enter plants but I imagine it is always a bit different." She looked up at Llewellyn and really wished she knew of a way to tell him how much she appreciated what he had done for her. "I should return home. I have quite a bit to carry now."
no subject
“Well, should you need any help with planting, you can let me know?” He added with a grin as she explained she should be able to collect seeds to grow more if she wanted. Though… The idea that the city might be covered in them at some point was really quite beautiful… And given Llewellyn wasn’t fond of dark nights made the idea seem all the better to him. Sure, those who preferred to be a little more sneaky might not be as fond of the idea, but he wasn’t about to be one of them. “I admit, that sounds like and mm… Lovely sight to behold, something for those walking home in the evenings to enjoy.”
So the spirit had been there all along at the sphere, and he really hadn’t realized it. “Oh- I hadn’t known that… Well, I’m glad I could give him a home back as well to make him more comfortable.” But he didn’t want to take up too much more of her time, after all. She had a lot on her hands now. “Of course. Don’t let me keep you if you’ve got to get home. Though if you need help to carry things back, I would be happy to at least help with that after you came all this way.”
(ooc: We can handwave them taking things back if you want <3)
