So, I found out that the carnival has motorcycles.

[Jacob declares in a frustrated tone.]

Why can't we get our hands on one? How does that make any sense?

[He's a little bitter about it.]

I've seen magic before. I can't use it but it isn't hard to accept that things exist when you have some experience with them.

[He's also fairly easy going since this isn't his Earth.]

Where I'm from almost everyone can use a form of magic we call materia. We also have motorcycles too though. Cloud has one!

Cloud mentioned that though he didn't seem to know how the motorcycles worked. Was it magic too? There were a lot of people who could use magic in my world but not everyone.

Cloud doesn't really think about how things work too much. [ She giggled ] I think it's mostly just engineering, but I couldn't tell you exactly.

I know a lot since I had to put together my bike from nothing but a frame.

It took a long time but the parts were cheap since I worked at a shop at the time.

That's really impressive! I'd be kinda interested in learning something like that.

If you want I can show you some of what I did. Not with my bike but I'm not the worst at drawing.

[He is very talented at drawing part plans but since it's only for practical purposes Jake doesn't see it as a skill.]

If you're interested in that kind of thing. I might be a sucky teacher but I love talking about this stuff, so consider me in... with whatever you have in mind.

You know, this may be fate! I've been trying to find things I'd like to do that I never could back home. This might just fit that perfectly if you're really willing to talk about it.

When do you want to meet up? I can probably free up a few hours once a week to go over some stuff with you.

It'll probably just start with sketches about car designs but if you get bored we can always stop.

We could meet up in a few days after I close up my shop if that'd work for you?

That gives me some time to get some stuff together.
