So, I found out that the carnival has motorcycles.

[Jacob declares in a frustrated tone.]

Why can't we get our hands on one? How does that make any sense?

[He's a little bitter about it.]

Yeah. I'll look into it. Even if they have it I don't see any material that could hold it without issues.

[They have steel but the methods that are used to form it are ancient.]

Speaking of, if you could get anything from home, what would you want?

[He had no idea how to help, but Yuki definitely wanted to so he nodded even if Jacob couldn't see it. However, the question took him by surprise.]

Um. I guess I just miss some of the foods.

[It surprising to Jacob since Yuki doesn't seem to have many favorite foods.]

Like what? Anything I've heard about?

[Yuki's voice took on a smile because Jacob seemed surprised at him.]

There were a few. Ginger pork was one of them, and sushi was always a good choice too. Rice balls made good snacks and fish was always good.

I don't think I've had any of that.

[He'd always eaten fairly American fair though he was a fan of instant Ramen.]

I'll have to ask Ignis about it. Maybe we can try and cook it together.

They're all really good.

[And of course he realized he was pretty biased in saying as much. But the thought of Jacob wanting to learn to cook those things made him smile.]

We can get books on the subjects too if you want to go to the library.

[He's going to have to ask Ignis how to read cookbooks. They're like instruction manuals, which he often ignores.]

Didn't you use to go to the library a lot? You'll have to show me around.

Yes, we met Nida sensei in the library once.

[And of course he ribbed Jacob at the time, Yuki totally recalled that.]

But we can get a few and grab lunch or dinner or something so you won't have to cook. I don't suppose you'd want to go to the lodge and go eat since your own teacher is there, right?

Ah. That is where that happened.

[Nida hasn't stopped meddling since then.]

We could go there. I don't go to the lodge very often but I love Ignis's food. [Food is Jake's only weakness.] Do you want to do that? We haven't been on a date in a while. [At least not one that involved them leaving their apartments.]

A date?

[Somehow Jacob could still surprise him with calling it that. And he couldn't help but feel a little shy at it.]

I would like that. Do we need a reservation?

[Even if he was sure they'd have to call somehow to find out.]

I don't think there are enough people here to have to worry about a reservation but I'll let Ignis know we're planning to stop by. [Jake is just going to send Ignis a quick text and leave it at that.]

[He was so thrilled they were going out on a date for dinner. Neither of them would have to clean up or anything. And Yuki was so excited, but he just tried to keep himself on an even keel.]
