"I'm certain it was a lot for humans to take in," she chuckled. "Especially when they had to accept a vampire president." That wasn't something she could really blame them for struggling with. It'd all come pretty fast and they'd realized quickly just how small their knowledge of the world had been.
"Are humans ever good at working with each other?" She offered her own half-upturned smirk at that. Not that her own kind were much better at getting along. The smile quickly fell off at his change in tone. There was a sense of shame that threatened to fully overtake her and she cast her eyes away. "Complicated is one way to put it. It's...hard being somewhere without them." It was something she was definitely hesitant to admit to but she managed.
"I like to think it's at least functional." Which was a main selling point for her. "I have several companion owls," she corrected. "They're excellent hunters, good for helping on Runs." Every supernatural creature needed some sort of familiar, right?
"A talented detective it would seem. Harry likes excitement and danger." She said it as if that must be the reason he might like her. "And trying to be a hero."
