Pretzel at least woke up with the commotion, head raising and tail thumping delightedly to see Llewellyn. A small bark at them both. It was good to see the two together again! He felt rather pleased with himself, as though he’d brought this all about rather than the amusing luck that they were neighbors at all.
Llewellyn would absolutely be very upset if she went that far… So she could expect a very awkward conversation when she did come back, given death wasn’t permanent. Though, from what he heard, it wasn’t without some side effects that lingered for a time.
At her comment, though, he paused eating and rubbed at a cheek absentmindedly. “I don’t believe I have anything noted on paper… It was, um… not something I expected to forget.” Often times it was the odd conversation or random detail that he forgot. Usually names, meetings, friendly advice given to a friend, or spans of time that something significant had happened… and most of his early childhood. “Honestly, I tend to keep the important details to myself… It’s not my place to spread other people’s secrets.” So unless it was important that someone know, Llewellyn tended to avoid talking about some of the things he knew.
“I am!” He responded, tone a little brighter as she changed the subject. “You, um- you disappeared from the Sphere before the wedding, but we were married in April of last year, just before we were pulled from that world to this one.” He explained thoughtfully. Llewellyn hadn’t expected the congratulations, but it was sweet and he appreciated the gesture. “But thank you, we’ve been quite happy.” He snagged another chocolate, still completely unbothered by the idea that they had a secondary effect. They were darn good chocolates, after all.
“I’m sure you’ll both meet at some point down the line… We’ve been a bit busy of late, between looking for a house and this whole celebration, keeping work busy enough.” But he would be happy to introduce them again at some point. He hoped the people he cared about most to know and get along with one another.
